The clock looks good but as soon as your phone goes into sleep mode it closes. The ships bell do chime but again, unless you keep it active, it doesn’t chime if the phone is asleep.
When I saw this clock, I knew I had to get it.It looks just like the clock on the quarterdeck of all this U.S. ships that I have been on as well as standing watch while we were in port. 👍
You’d imagine that one of the big points of purchasing this would be that you would hear what? … yup you guessed it … BELLS!
It is a watch face. Nothing more. Your phone already has a clock.
When you’re racing to see what time it is and you’re in a chaotic environment and you an old man from the analog generation this is for you.
No sound and it’s not clear how to change settings. It would be very helpful if it would work in the background (if it does work at all).
Is a awesome app. Only wish it would ring in the background too. Anyone who loves clock apps will love it.
I like the look, bells are good extra. Seems to keep actual time and the bells are nice addition.
Basic compass and GPS with pleasing vintage Navy clock face.
Combat Clock is a 12-hour analog clock (sweeping second hand) that is a contemporary replica of a WWI/WWII ship's clock used by the US Navy, Coast Guard and other government organizations. Location data is leveraged to display current GPS coordinates, heading and compass bearing that indicates the direction the top of the device (portrait mode) is pointing to (12 is North, 6 South, 3 East and 9 is West). Combat Clock includes an alarm that rings every half hour (1 to 8 bells) based on the old deck watch shift standard of 4 hour.
