Where are the game options?

When I looked at how to play it said when you press “play game” there would be three options to chose from; sim game, watch play by play, or play the game live and call plays for your team, but when I create career mode or create a school mode I only have one option and that is to sim the game. This makes no sense because I would have loved to have called plays for my team and watch play by play. If you guys do fix this problem and put those features into the game (like it says on how to play) this game would be great. I really don’t have many problems besides that and quarterbacks that are at a high overall that are on your team (like an 86, 87, or even an 89 overall) have end of season stats that you would see from a 68 or 70 overall quarterback. Also the ranking system is a bit to off in my opinion. I will be ranked #17 and lose to my opponent who is ranked #11 and then be completely out of the top 25. This makes no sense. I have seen #6 ranked teams lose to the number one ranked team in the country and drop all the way down to #18. If the developer can fix these three problems this would be a great game. Besides these problems this overall a pretty decent game.

Great start

This game has a great setup, but I have one issue and a few possible suggestions. 1. OL RB are non existent in recruiting classes and transfer portals. Into season three and so far I haven't seen any players at that position available to be signed and now my roster is weak and thin there. I double checked my filters and this was not the issue. Would've given a much higher rating if this wasn't a thing. 2. Retaining coaches? Would be nice to have a relationship level with your OC and DC (possibly affected by school success and other factors?) So that when their contract ends, you have a chance to resign them and potentially at a lower or higher cost. 3. Ability to scout prospects and opponents during season? Additionally, hire scouts? 4. More realistic statistics? Double digits rb's in my league rushed for over 2,000 yards, with the top back getting 3,300 yards lol. I do really like the game overall. 1. Kinda killed my score, but I will definitely keep playing for a bit and checking back for updates!

My official review

This game is fun and I can play it anywhere anytime. But I do feel that this is sometimes incomplete. I really wish it was more realistic. For instance, if you’re a good team, you never have any contest for recruits. I think the recruits should have more offers to choose from so that you don’t always win every single recruit. This also makes it better because you don’t always know how your team will perform. Also, I wish you could be coaching the games live. Like, if your team isn’t playing well than I wish you could change the game plan mid-game. I also wish if you were a very good team you wouldn’t just beat everyone and I wish there would at least be competition in the ranked games you’d play. I would like there to be more upsets in this game as well. If a ranked team plays a non-ranked team, even if the non-ranked team is good the ranked team still wins probably around 85-95 percent of the time. But overall it’s a very good game and I enjoy playing it. I just wish it was a little more realistic.

Addictive Game but with Issues

First of all I want to say I love this game! It really is amazing and the harder difficulty in career mode is really fun! With that being said I do have a few issues. One is what I call the upset affect. In college football you always have unranked or low rank beat a high ranking team creating an upset! This happens in college football but is semi rare when looking at any one team. On this game on the other hand it’s a regular occurrence. I will be higher ranked, my offense and defense talent will be better and just overall a better team but will loose. This can happen a few times a season or once every few seasons but I always have to expect it. Now it goes both ways and I can win games I’m not supposed to but it all just happens to often. I think it’s a good feature just turn down the rate at which it happens. My other bit issue is I can be with a team for 7 years because contract. The would be at prestige of 95 so it doesn’t go any higher. I could do everything but win the national championship and my contract won’t change. I can get to my last year of contract and not do quite as well so my prestige drops a couple of points and then they fire me because my number dropped below 95... even though I’ve led a very successful program. Again I absolutely love this game and play it every day but those are my big frustrations! I always look forward to updates and new content!

Yet another great yearly updates

I came back to this game after recently hearing it has received another big update and oh my was I surprised at how much you guys changed the game. I seriously haven’t left my phone down for 24 hours because I’m hooked. However there are still some points of criticism I would like to address:1) the bottom hot bar is too packed together. I would rather have a sliding side bar than a universal hot bar. Since there is so much information in the game now, I think a side hot bar would be the best option. I think if you guys implement the menu system of the iOS game “campus dynasty” the game would flow better. I still constantly forget where things are.2) Recruiting on easy and hard difficulty is still way to easy. I say you create a points system that is seen in ncaa 14. You have a certain amount of points for recruiting depending on how big your school is. 3) this is something I think you should add. Please add more depth to recruiting like player visits and player gpa. Thank you guys for making the best free college football coaching game. Keep up the good work!

Just a suggestion

First I’d like to say that is the closest we have to an NCAA game until 2023. It’s a joy to play and I have a lot of fun. Some things don’t make sense sometimes like your team #1 in the country and lose to an unranked team and messes up your CFP hopes. Maybe the scale up the favorability even more to make it near impossible for you to lose to an unranked team. Secondly make incorporate a way to edit the players attributes. I think it’d be fun to have an option where you can just to decide to be the most dominant force in College Football with 100+ ovr rated players. It also gives the people a nice easy sim and gameplay and not really have to worry about the CFP hopes crumbling because you lose to Iowa. Again these are just suggestions which I think can make the game more fun and better. This a fantastic game for those who want their CFB fix and I enjoy playing it.

Whoops, most popular reason for playing a football show sim regresses

Like many other reviews lately, the new update messed up the like-ability aspect of this simulation dynasty sports game and that’s recruiting and building a roster.Taking the lower rank team to greatness doesn’t seem possible. It is now ridiculously too hard to predict which recruits will say yes to your offers, and you run out of recruiting points too quickly to make a dent in upgrading roster. Even low rank (stars) players will often say no to your offer at nearly the same rate as the top star players. The next fixes to this game should be to increase the number of recruits by double, have scouting points (with a scouting phase in offseason) and make it much more easier to recruits with stars near your schools prestige level. Increment the amount of recruiting points required to recruit higher star players on weaker teams. This way lower rank teams will focus more on getting higher potential players (letter grade) near their prestige level and over time/some years be able to go after higher star players.

2 ideas to add to the game that I think would be cool and keep the game interesting

First idea: I think it would be cool if there was a coordinator extension update where we could start out as a coordinator, where you only recruit for yourside of the ball (O / D), then develop a good team and get HC offers (Make both HC & coordinator choices available to start out with, but just an option). Addition to that, it would be cool if once we’re a HC, we can see our OC/DC’s get HC offers after a couple of years of being good, and they develop programs of their own -——————————————————————————Second idea: I think it would be cool if over time as a program gets good / better, you could update you update you facilities which would attract recruits to come to your program just some idea’s i’ve thought of as I played the game, I think it would be fun. ——————————————————— Overall I really enjoy this game but there is so much that can be expanded on, the sky is the ceiling for this game, just my suggestions on what to add! Thanks!

Great almost perfect except...

When playing a live game. It frustrates me when it makes the running back run when I chose to pass. If it’s the quarter back running, that’s fine. Because it just means no one was open and he had to scramble. But WHY is my running back STILL running the ball when I chose to PASS?! And from second quarter to third quarter just continues on as if transitioning from 1st to 2nd quarter, or 3rd to 4th. There should be a halftime meaning u need to score before 2nd quarter ends. Or the team that elected to receive at the start of game will be kicking off in the start of the third quarter. Also, please make it an option to turn off prestige effects when recruiting. It almost makes it impossible to take a low prestige team into a championship team. When you can’t recruit good players. Other than that. I really enjoy this game!

This is a fantastic game to play in our free time. It really passes the time which definetly helped me get through quarantine. I think everything you have added to the game is great and I do really think that you have created something great here. There is one thing I would like to give you as a challenge to add to your game though. This is not the only free sports game that I play in my free time. There is a very popular group of free sports simulation games known as Zen GM. These games are all different in their own respect, but here is one thing that they all have in common that separates these Zen GM games from all other sports simulation games I have seen. Zen GM has a “God Mode” where one can take control of more then one team to create a user simulated experience. This has opened up a lot for the Zen GM games and I am also a part of the BBGM simulation leagues as well. The BBGM community is very large and has 13K people following its reddit page at the moment. I think that if this game had a God Mode like feature to it, it would be undeniable that this would be the best free college football game in the world and possibly the best college football simulation game as well. Just an idea.

Description

In College Football Coach, you play the newly-hired head coach at your college of choice. As head coach, it will be your responsibility to manage your team's strategy, play through seasons, recruit new players, and above all, win national championships. When you start your career, you'll inherit a roster of 48 players (23 starters) and you can select how you want them deployed by picking from different playbooks on offense and defense.

Each of these playbooks gives your team different in-game stat boosts that could help (or hurt!) them against their next opponent. Your team will play 12 games in the regular season: nine against your conference opponents once and three out-of-conference games. The most important game of the regular season is your rivalry game: winning it will net you more program prestige points, while losing it will cost you some. Want to put on a headset and roam the sidelines yourself? You can call plays LIVE by selecting the “Play Game” option when starting a new game week! Each playbook has 10 different plays to choose from, hand-selected from historic and current team playbooks and each with their own unique set of in-game bonuses. Don’t want to worry about scheme or routes? Turn on “Basic Playcalling” mode in the Settings panel and cruise to victory with a simpler set of plays on your play sheet. As your team progresses through the season, pollsters will determine how good (or bad) your team is compared to others. Where you’re ranked will be determined by a number of factors: wins, margin of victory, strength of schedule, and more, and determines who gets into a bowl game and the semifinals (and therefore the National Championship game). At the end of the season, your team will gain or lose prestige based on their final ranking versus their expectations! After the season is over, you’ll get to recruit the next class of players that will lead your team to bigger and better wins. You'll face off against teams across the country for the same players, and your program's prestige will affect how good the players available to you are. Stronger teams will be able to recruit higher-quality players, while weaker teams will need to allocate their effort strategically in order to build up their rosters. All of that sound fun to you?
