Great for learning Cantonese

I grew up speaking Cantonese and English in my household. Now that I don't speak Cantonese as much, I'm afraid to say I've forgotten more of the language than I remember. This app is helping me to get the language back. The app is so easy to use and playback is clear and true to the language. It sounds like actual words spoken rather than a computer generated version of language.

Great for beginners and people picking the language up again

I like this app a lot. It's great for beginners and people like me who want to pick up the language once again. I never learned Cantonese completely as a kid so I only got basic phrases from my parents and spoke back to them in English. I hope to use this program to get accustomed to the sounds and tones and then take on some reading material as well as some sentence building exercises.If I could ask for more, I wish I could build basic sentences with this app or have more words.

I only use Nemo it is great and I find it easy pleasant and very efficient and learning a language this is the only one that I am using at this time I have used many before but only this one now thank you

Great App to Learn New Languages

Whether you're a beginner or intermediate in the language process, this app will definitely assist you in becoming a native speaker. It has different methods for people who learn quicker in other ways. Highly recommend this app to anyone.

Great free app

Easy to use, we use the daily words feature for words that my kids focus on each week. There aren’t many Cantonese learning apps available and this one is a keeper. Would like a few more features so we are eagerly awaiting for an update.

Best Beginner Cantonese Learning Material Available!

After five years of struggling to find any decent beginner Cantonese learning material this app is a STEAL! It has helped me find my motivation to continue learning Cantonese. It is simple, easy to use, and has exactly what I was looking for to give me a strong basic understanding of the language. The $10 price may seem high, but it is easily worth it. This app is a no brained if you're serious about learning this lovely language. I am very grateful for its creators!

Excellent for Kids or Adults!

I’ve only tried the first 100 words, but it’s a great way to learn some basic Cantonese! As a native speaker raised over seas, I was not brought up learning to read or write cantonese, but it is my heritage so wanted to learn more than a basic level of conversational fluency.... I really enjoy the flash cards- you can practice speaking and writing the characters! One note, it’s a progression so it’s made for beginners. I’m not sure how advanced it goes, but so far it’s great! Highly recommended. Thanks Nemo for creating this!

Best Cantonese Learning App

Vast amount of language packs with very practical conversational words and phrases. So many different learning modes. This app is perfect for beginners who want to learn the language and even for travelers who can use the search function to effectively communicate. I highly recommend this app. What sets it apart from other apps: the ability to leearn written cantonese alongside the spoken, and the best part is the search function. Just start typing what you want to say and it will search through the language packs in an instant with the spken and written translation.

Great

The new version is great. It really helped me learn pronunciation and vocabulary. I wish the had more words, but no other complaints. I have a few other Cantonese apps, and this works the best. The best features are the color codes and ability to switch modes, learn a few words a day, and review active words only. I just wish they had about 4000 words instead of 1300.

Out of Sync

This app is supposed to record you and put you saying the word or phrase next to the voice teaching you so you can compare. It doesn’t do that though, they say the word and then they say the next word and then they let you record so you’re trying to keep it in your mind the word or phrase you need to record while they’re saying the next word throwing your concentration off then you record while they’re getting ready to go to the next word, and then you record while they’re saying the next word and you never get to hear both side by side. What a crappy app.
