There's an uninvited guest in my kitchen at night

Since this is anonymous, I'll say it: I have a mouse AND a rat. And judging from the rat's behavior around the have-a-heart trap, that this app RECORDED FOR ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, I suspect it knows the trap. And I never would have suspected that there's a mouse too!What a cool app! THANKS GUYS!!! I have to get to work on my little problem now...

Difficult to get running

Unfortunately this app isn't saving video to my photo collection. I purchased it last night and this morning it indicated 14 videos had been captured. But none apparently saved to the photo album or otherwise preserved for viewing. This is on my old 4s... *update* After several deletes hard resets and reinstalls, the program seems to be working.

Works perfectly...wish it could stream in real time from a notification sent to me once motion has been detected. But I definitely like the spy features, no one is the wiser. They just think my extra phone or iPad is charging.

must buy

if you need motion detective, you have to buy it.if the iphone is stolen, the data is safe.bcz this app is conect dropbox and icloud link.i use D-link web cam but this d-link cam use Sd card, somebody sometime stolen.i cant check data log.

Useless for my use case

Completely useless for my use case. I want to record a subject from close distance with a background that has plants moving with the wind. So the app doesn't focus right and keeps recording all the time because the movement in the background.I'm rating the app 2 stars because this would be easily solved by 2 simple changes that are obvious if you put just a little thought on it. This is not a free app, I payed for it and those simple settings should be available:- More control on sensitivity so I can ignore the subtle background movements.- Manual focus so I can specify where I'm trying to shut and where the movement should be detected.

doesnt work as expected

i have trying to use this app for the past 3 days and im dissapointed1. powersave mode will toggle off the recording somehow2. so instead of using powersave mode to switch off the screen, i have decided to leave my ipad screen on the whole day, put the brightness to the lowest and made sure that the recording is on. then when i came back. for the past 12 hours, it recorded nothing. only 1 video that is when i enabled recording in the beginning. when i came back , i looked at the screen, the recording mode is still enabled but its simply not recording anything. really dissapointed and wish to get my money back

Exactly what motion capture app should be!

I bought this as a quick/easy alternative to buying a dedicated video camera setup, most are over $150. I needed to be able to watch my cats to see if they are behaving badly overnight. I had this app downloaded and testing it within minutes. The motion detection is really good even in mediocre lighting. I like that you can fine tune the settings. I put it on high sensitivity and had 200 videos shot overnight - most were duds but I did see my cats in a few of them. Tonight I’ll turn the sensitivity down so I only have to view a handful of hopefully the right videos. The videos also did not take up a lot of space. I was worried I would use all my empty space, but even on lowest quality I barely hit 1GB of short videos. I’m happy it worked as advertised. I have looked through the App Store for this kind of app and most of them seem to be junk or have not been updated in 3 years. This one is current and works great. It’s simple, easy to use, and works without a lot of extra fluff. Thanks for a great app!

Effective

I use this app to keep track of who is entering my elderly parents apartment. Setup and linking to DropBox were easy.My only complaint is the motion sensitivity setting that triggers the camera to record is counter intuitive. High sensitivity means the camera is less sensitive to motion and low sensitivity means the camera highly sensitive to motion. Brilliant.

Drains my battery

I like the app but I keep setting it up and coming back in a few hours to find that the battery drained after a short time and then the "low battery" alert came on -- blowing my cover. Why is it draining the battery just being on stand by? Would love it if a developer saw this and responded. Thanks.

Works great!

Set up my iPad overnight to figure out how Eek the mouse gets in and out of the kitchen. Left the kitchen light on overnight and plugged in the device. Set the sensitivity to high. Rewarded with 79 video segments of 3 to 25 seconds between midnight and 5:30 am. Most were of Eek exploring for and eating crumbs on the floor. The most valuable showed him darting under the dishwasher and cabinet drawers. He climbed up the drawers like a ladder to the counter. The motion detector did not begin quite early enough to show him emerge, but that is okay, we know enough. The video was good enough to post an amusing minute on Facebook. Next we can set up the Tin Cat, which will capture Eek harmlessly, then we put barriers on his secret entries. Thanks a million!
