Needs optimization ASAP!

I decided to purchase the season pass. I’m enjoying the game a lot and the graphics are very impressive for iOS. However, the game is not optimized for the 11” iPad Pro. It desperately needs an update. I’ll update my review to 5 stars afterwards. Until then, I won’t be playing.

Not playable on Apple TV console

I got this for my Apple TV 4K for a casual play from the couch experience. The controls are complicated, especially when switching characters and resuming the game. I got up-to level 2 but it’s getting harder to play. The game itself is easy. Also the Apple TV remote is not best suited for a game like this. I tried pairing my nimbus controller, but this game would not honor that. This game is suited for a computer. Otherwise the game itself is ok once you get used to the characters slightly weird accent.

Calvino Noir

This is an excellent game. Kind of a role playing, puzzle solving detective story, placed in a film noir setting. It is challenging, but does not require reflexes that are too quick (good for us old guys). The only suggestion I have is to allow the player to save “on demand”. I got tired of having to start over and lose all progress every time I got killed. Otherwise, I would rate the game at five stars.

Awesome Noir Game

I love this game! Love the hard work they put into the story line, very interesting! Only a few suggestions: I think the action icons look a bit out of place and could maybe be styled to fit the theme of the game more. Not a fan of the yellow or cyan blue in the dialogue. And maybe have different jazz songs for each chapter. Love the moody feel of the one song that plays throughout the game though. Good job developers!

More, please!!!

I’ve now gone through the game twice. Check out the details of the settings. I like having a narrative then a combo of strategy and speed. I keep the sound off. Way too much dialogue, interrupts the flow, but can tap through it. I would pay for more, and I never pay!!!!

Good graphics and story, poor voice acting

The graphics and atmosphere are great, as is the story. The game is, however, let down my some rather over-the-top voice acting. Even the narrator over-does it. But it's a good game nonetheless, and worth playing if you enjoy mystery novels.

Gorgeous visuals; interesting story

I'm not much of a gamer, but I love Calvino Noir. The visuals, music, and writing are original and interesting for a game. And (though I've seen other complain about it), I've enjoyed the gameplay a lot (both on touchscreen and on the Apple TV).

Great game

This is a great noir game if your into that stuff sometimes for me the music will turn off sometimes but overall it’s a great game it’s a strategy/stealth

Weird menu that just restarts game

I just started playing and wanted to manipulate the music, see what settings were in the game. So I click on this menu while I am playing the game. It shows three lines and the “Main menu”. And all I can do is return to the beginning of the game and start over. I don’t understand why they are using an icon that shows multiple options but when you click on it it only has one option.

Wow.

First off, I'm going to admit it. This game is absolutely AMAZING! I love games where you sneak around and complete missions! But I have a SERIOUS problem. I finished the game in one day, and then you expect everyone to buy the extension to a THREE DOLLAR APP! I will buy it, but this is called greed, capital G.

Description

The film noir stealth game. Calvino Noir is the exploratory, sneaking adventure through the 1930s European criminal underworld. Architecture meets Noir as you become unwillingly entangled in a revolutionist plot.

We use Apple's Metal graphics technology to recreate the style of film noir, with it's beautiful high contrast aesthetic to build a world that feels real enough to host the game's dangerous setting.
