GO is now better than Connect, but still needs a lot of work!

After loading the new GO for use on my Spyder and trying it out, Sygic now links and works better than it had previously.However, the ability to listen to ‘my’ phone’s music is now gone, which, IMHO, is terrible. Sometimes I just want to jam while riding.The first time I loaded the new GO App and Sygic, I hit the road. My music did play, sort of, but constantly cut out and finally just stopped, although the turn by turn instructions were fine. (Note: the couple of times I have used this so far, I used the bike speakers and didn’t try to connect to my Cardo)Although I loaded a few other Apps on the bike, I have not yet tried them out, so can’t speak of any other potential issues.Please fix the music ASAP!!

Can’t view trails?

Why can I not view snowmobile trails now? When I go into the app to look at the trails, it shows the message “off season trails” and then won’t show the snowmobile trails. I don’t see any way to fix this in the settings.Edit: Thanks for the response. Trails are now viewable! I do wish there was an easier way to have your friends visible. We should be able to do this without creating a ride or area exploration. Maybe just an “always on” feature so I can see my friends onscreen at all times.

Probably one of the worst apps I have ever seen

BRP really missed the mark on this one, I ordered a 2021 sled with the upgraded gauge panel to use this app and it is a complete joke, there should be a class action brought against BRP as this feeble short sided attempt at a navigation system was a complete waste of money to any and all that paid for this upgrade with hopes it would work. Biggest disappointment! Should have ordered a Polaris with ride command as this system is an embarrassment. Scott / Eagle River, WI

Under Developed

After pairing my PackTalk Slim and iPhone 12 Pro multiple time I finally got to the point that I could use the controls and see my apps on the Spyder display.I was very disappointed that only one app on my phone was visible and usable, this is not what I expected. Also I was not able to stream music into my helmet, only through the bikes radio.So this morning we are getting ready for a ride and my Slim and my wife’s slim aren’t communicating, we have been using them trouble free for months. So I unpaired my devices form the Spyder and deleted the app.To make this functional you need to let the rider use the apps they prefer and direct their audio where they prefer.I didn’t use the radio on my Road Glide because I could get a great experience using my iPhone and Pack Talk Slim by themselves. I don’t expect to be using the infotainment system on the Spyder either.

BRP Go spinning

How do you change the settings so the map doesn’t spin? I want North to be locked towards the top. Auto recalculating to my destination would be nice too so I don’t have to take my gloves off. Make it like a car - automatic.Huge improvement over the previous version.

Good but not complete

Got the latest update for On Road. (Late summer) The addition of the Music app is worthless as it requires stopping to get music playing or change what is playing. I can easy just grab the phone and do that as I’m stopped. What would be better is if we could get music playing or change it WHILE MOVING. UPDATES EARLY SUMMER???? It’s currently the middle of summer so where’s the update? Updates should include vehicle dash firmware version requirements. Still not finished. Music and navigation are the two things we need the most and neither are 100% yet. Especially music! Love the new look. As mentioned, Apple Music is missing. Back to needing the app be open before starting vehicle, PITA when stopping for gas etc. Needs 3rd party music apps. Making phone calls would be safer if we had Favorites instead of history. Rever is not working for navigation. Nice change but no where near complete. Please work on it, BRING BACK APPLE MUSIC AND NOT NEEDING THE APP TO BE OPEN FIRST!

Snowmobile trail maps

Why do the snowmobile trails disappear on the map when I zoom out? I want to zoom out and look at a large region and decide what direction we want to go, not always just put in the destination and let it route me there. Please make it so the snow maps stay visible when you zoom the map out!

Playing music

Synced my phone and communicators to my new XR-S 900 turboR for the trip this weekend. Just a few suggestions. 1. When trying to place a call having to scroll through all the contacts with the turn dial is a pain. There should be a way to access your favorite contacts. 2. Couldn’t figure out how to get a playlist of music to play from my iPhone. I was able to play music but it was all random songs from my phone. Any suggestions or if there is no way to do it there should be!BRP should parter with Vvmapping or garmin or another mapping company Thanks

Much better than Connect

The app is more user friendly & stable than Connect was, the display is easier to see. The biggest downside is no longer supporting the Music app, please bring that back.

Edits on 8/3BRP - there’s never been any mention of the Phone app being updated since last October. Will it be updated or are you abandoning it? Edited by 8/1. - the music app was restored when I wrote this review last week. Does anyone actually look at what they write. First my review appears to have been deleted. The latest Road version did restore the music app to its previous nonfunctional self while the bike is in motion. You can’t search just FF or RR No phone app. So this is now made the 7.8 inch dash virtually worthless. In order to use it as a GPS you must pay for Genius or Sygic. FOBO works but it works on the phone any way. Cardo works but it’s not necessary with BT 5.0. BRP, survey your customers and truly ask the on-road users what they want. And reset the app rating based upon t HD d ratings since Oct when version 2 was released, it’s not a 4.1 rating. It takes 30+ seconds to boot on the dash before you can connect the cable to invoke the phone to connect and there’s no phone app anymore.
