Real fun
Tons of fun, no unexpected advertisements, love how it can be played offline, I can’t stress how much fun it is, it managed to get me to write a review, however I would be grateful if there was a way to turn off or deactivate ability’s so that doesn’t show up when you’re playing a game, like the coin ability each coin adding 1 more coin soullessly to my 10,000+ coins. But still it’s whales of fun
Fantastic Game - great nostalgia
This is honestly one of the best iPhone games I’ve ever played. I’m so impressed with the graphics and design, as well as the entertainment level. Even though you’re playing sort of the same levels until you die there are great side quests and enough random games in between to keep you entertained and not bored. I always get bored of iPhone games quick as they’re usually too repetitive. Also love the nostalgia design it’s so comforting and cute and doesn’t even feel like I’m playing on my phone. Like it’s a real Bricky boy!! Great offline play too for on airplanes. No ads in offline, although you do have to skip a lot of prizes since they often require you to view an ad first, but I don’t feel like I missed much this way game play wise. Kept me entertained an entire flight and I even got asked by my seat mate what I was playing! Great work!!
Top Tier App Store game
Bricky boy is spectacular honestly. I think the most refreshing part of it is the ability to remove ads for free. It removes ALL ads. I was expecting to still have to see them if I wanted to use boosts. Honestly though do yourself a favor and get the ad free version first if you have the spare cash.Earning cosmetics is a lot of fun because of how good the art is for their virtual console. I think they nail the feel of the older game and watch style games.I do have some minor “gripes” less so annoyances and just kind of minor changes i’d want made. The bomb the bricks sections need some stakes. I’d appreciate a timer or having the bombs also take health like the normal balls do.Some of the changes after removing ads are just clunky. Previously to get triple coins you’d watch an ad as a boost. Now you just hit a button to triple the coins, but it’s a bit jarring as opposed to just automatically tripling the coins I get.Overall great game, a great example of what a mobile game can be. It utilizes a lot of the strengths of being a mobile game. I hope the devs are well and keep making more stuff.
From amazing to disappointment over night
When I downloaded this game a few months ago it was amazing ads where minimal and they where seen when needed you known when you want extra lives or a power up it was an amazing balance and then just over night with the new update this game turned into every little movement will cause an ad and now it turned into those mindless games where you have to try to dodge ads every 60 seconds this game was a 10/10 at first but after this update it’s just a massive disappointment
Superb!
I got this game a few months ago, and it was great! Then there was an update that made it have TONS of ads, but recently they dropped the ad count way down and it’s back to being amazing as the devs add more content, now I have all but the diamond skins and daily styles. Keep up the great work!
The Free Ad removal option is a game changer!
This game is so much fun and i love the little details like the cosmetics for bricky boy. However the addition of the free removal of ads after watching 15 ads is absolutely brilliant. I was able to do exactly that in a couple of days and now im excited to play this every day. Thanks for this and the monocle is jst perfection! :)
Perfect blend of breakout and pinball
It’s hard to find a good mobile game nowadays. With in app purchases and games that are a glorified waiting simulation, you’d think that a game this good couldn’t be made. But the devs found a way. The ads are only for bonus coins and the almost endless gameplay is super fun! Plus the boss fights are a nice touch to a game that’s already fun. So glad people still care about making good phone games!
My IAP Bug FIXED!!!
The game is lots of fun & has a very cool old lcd screen graphic look. I’m old school, so I love a good brick breaker game & this is definitely a good one.This was a 1* review because I paid $2 to remove ads, but they didn’t go away. With this update, it seems to be fixed!! The remove ads button is still on the start screen, but I made it through the first key chest with no ads!!! Thank you devs!!!!!
Stellar game except…
THE ADS. It’s terribly unbalanced. I would absolutely pay to get rid of pop up ads. Then let me watch ads for extra perks. But give us the decision! As of right now it’s impossible not to spend more time watching ads than playing the game itself. So sad.
This game is a blast
This is the perfect pick up, play for a few minutes, put my phone back in my pocket kind of game. The skins are fun, the noises are awesome, but the ads are annoying. I like how you have a free option to remove ads, but I want to just pay for it. You deserve the few bucks and I’m too lazy to watch all those ads. However, the button to buy the no ad version doesn’t work, it just says “purchase was cancelled” when I click it. How do I fix this?
