Interesting yet frustrating

I have had this app for a few days and I am patience wading in the free version of it before I spend invest. Not sure if better is on the other side just yet. What I do know is that the is the first app we’re I get nothing but black males and I love that for me. This give the app a bonus! The information that is shared is helpful too even though it feels like nobody is reading profiles. That is more of a human error than the app though. It’s frustrating to have my age presence and my distances presences, which is at minimum 100 miles, why is that?, ignored. I keep getting 20 something year olds who are 200 miles away. This is just not practical and I know God doesn’t want me to marry a 25 year old 😭

One of the best dating apps out

The RBL app is one of the best dating apps out. I’ve used several apps that have claimed to be the best but cannot live up to that claim. RBL does more than give you a picture, you can read a person’s profile to see if the person will be a good person to reach out to. It’s really simple to complete your profile. The admins make sure that the pictures and profiles are decent and respectful. The site makes it easy to reach out, you can send a wink to show interest and if the person is interested they can send a wink back or send you a message. RBL makes connecting easy and fun. You can talk to someone locally or from anywhere in the world. RBL is a great way to meet your match!

So far so good

I haven’t matched with anyone yet as it’s only been a few days since joining. I have a few cons so far, we’ll, not really cons but glitches. I am seeing profiles that says that someone is one mile away but when you click on their profile, it shows that they are in another State. Another one that I found is that when you sign up, it makes you write a description but I have seen pages that have no description. One suggestion that I would make is for the maker to require two photos. When you sign up, it makes you send in a verification photo, I don’t understand how people are able to get verified, when their profile picture is a side face photo or they have on a mask. Last thing, the daily, multiple day “reminder to upgrade” messages are super annoying. Just when you think you have a message from a match, it’s the app sending you a reminder and when you try to delete it, it doesn’t really delete. I do like how they approve profiles quickly and the process is user friendly.

Real Black Love Makes Online Dating Safer

I was introduced to RBL by hopping into Clubhouse rooms managed by the Founder Joseph Dixon. He and his team made it clear they were passionate about helping people find love matches that led to serious relationships and marriage (if that is what you are searching for). It inspired me to download the app and give it a try. About the app: I love how detailed the verification process is to better ensure you are not getting catfished, and how they actually seem to match you with people you have common interests with. I also appreciate that they keep it classy-no revealing photos are allowed and all must be approved before actually being posted on your profile. Additionally, I appreciate that the match stories shared on social media are real people and not just advertisements. Last, but certainly not least, It is encouraging to know this is a safe online space to date and possibly find my match. I am so excited to give this app a try and looking forward to what will come from it. So far, definitely good!

Finally, looking for love online can be possible

I just joined this app, today. The sign up process is pretty straight forward. It appears that having a CLEAR profile photo and filling in your profile are mandatory for acceptance. This alone is worth 5 stars! It's so tiring when people claim to want to find love online but will upload profile photos with hats and sunglasses that are out of focus! Or create profiles that read, "I'll do this later?" Who starts off dating by playing games like this? People that aren't serious about the process! People looking for flings and people that have no business going online to begin with lol I look forward to finding love on an app that requires the bare minimum of effort to join the online dating world.

Cautiously Optimistic

I used to be on this app a few years ago and even though I didn’t have much luck finding anyone on here, I’m giving it another try. I’m usually cautious with most dating apps because they’re a lot of people looking to post games and aren’t serious about finding someone to date. But I’m an optimistic person so I still believe the right woman for me is out there somewhere. The app itself is good, you don’t have too many apps catered to finding black love, so this app catering to a specific niche is great. Back when I first used this app, there were a few glitches or bugs that had to be worked out due to it being new, hopefully those glitches have been corrected and the experience on this app is better. I’m looking for real love, I hope to find that using this app.

Men with Thoughtful Profiles

I’ve been on about 5 apps on and off for the past few years and most times I really do see the same guys on them all with the same “I’m a laid back guy” line and that’s it. But this one seems different. For some reason, the men on this site have more complete, thoughtful profiles. You can see they have put effort into finding a good match for themselves and don’t seem to just be trolling for any woman. Most profiles aren’t vague and have multiple pictures.There aren’t as many matches as with other sites but it’s because it’s not recycled profiles from men who just cast a wide net, and I love that. The guys on here seem genuine and that’s a great place to start.

Ehh still on the fence

One of the things that I do love about this app is that it’s required to fill out your profile completely. Typically I don’t talk to someone if they have a blank profile so it’s nice to know that the men on here actually took the time to write some thing out. With that being said, I still found a couple of blank profiles, and I don’t know if it was a glitch, or some lazy men found a way around it. I may be interested in paying for the paid version but I’m still looking around to see if the quality of men is worth me even paying for a subscription. I have noticed a few glitches on the app like I filled out my profile completely, and it was approved and then somehow the bio got deleted, and when I logged into the app, it was telling me that I had to update my profile before moving forward even though it said my profile was completed. I went into each section to see what was going on and I realized that most of my bio had been erased except for the first sentence. Every time I log in it also tells me there is a new version and I need to do an update but it doesn’t take me to the app store. When I got check in the App Store there isn’t actually and update. That is all for now. I’ll update if anything changes. Thanks for reading!

I’ve been using the app for about two weeks, and so far so good. I feel like it allows the time pass energy I seek when it comes to online dating; not intrusive or going way to anxiety. You have a pretty protective profile, all changes are approved by an administrator, and the various sections of msging, winks, “see who’s viewed your profile” and block profile seem to allow you to manage your profile in relation to the privacy you seek. It doesn’t feel like approvals are a free for all, and so far users have aesthetically pleasing profiles. I’ve sent msgs to admin and have received responses, and I hope they continue with that sort of care, as with any relationship, the communication should be transparent and receptive to concerns of the community’s safety of self. Looking forward to exploring elevated levels of real Black love.

Save your money

The positive reviews are written by people who in exchange, get a free month subscription—if you read them carefully, they simply describe the app, but don’t speak to any success or actual connections being made. That’s because the number of members is minimal—which by the way, is not a big deal for a new app. However, RBL claims to be the #1 dating app for Blacks since 2014…so the low membership numbers are indicative of the real truth. The app is aesthetically appealing…that’s the only positive. Only some of their links work, and even if you’re a premium member forget about making a connection because unless your desired matches are also premium (which most aren’t), they cannot connect with you nor you with them—makes absolutely no sense. It’s the reason I terminated my premium membership after just a few days. It’s a useless app with outdated technology with all the bugs. There aren’t enough people here and that should be the first clue to customer dissatisfaction. The catfishishig prevention really shouldn’t be a sales point as just about all other dating apps use the same verification technology. I was happy to join the site because really wanted to support Black business but quickly became disappointed. I can’t endorse poor quality service or a business that in reality does not provide what it propose to sell. There’s no way they are, or have been #1.
