UPDATE APP FOR LATEST IOS!!!

Despite some back and forth with customer service via email, not a single rep mentioned the need to turn off cellular data to make this work (although the camera remains useless at this point, as others have described). Further, after asking if an update is coming, I was told that they had no idea and that updates are just announced/put out there with no prior knowledge to other employees- kind of sounds like a broken system to me, as communication should be key, especially in a situation where so many customers are affected by something like this. This is why this should have come with a dedicated controller- I realize that they were going for the lure of fancy options potentially available via smartphones, but if the support for upgrading software vanished, it makes the product obsolete- not really fair when a customer is spending a premium price for something that should work out of the box.A solution suggested by one of the reps? To see if I had an old phone lying around and use that!?? We typically trade in our phones, and judging by other people’s experiences, it might be worse trying an old phone (crashing/freezing apps).Please dedicate updating the app regularly- it shouldn’t be that hard.

I had requested that the software for these now legacy collectible be kept up with iOS software releases. Very happy to say to that their latest update fixed all glitches! Camera transmission now works! Once again, thank you for listening and supporting your customers. Keep it up so generations to come and kids of all ages can enjoy it!

Need engine sound turnoff ability while idle

I absolutely love the car and i am still exploring the App’s ability tonstill be connected to car while I operate outside home.But as soon you turn on switch on car, it constantly makes engine sound even though you may keep it idle for any amount of time. This is really annoying and taking the fun out of having this car. Please provide thst abikity to turn off engine sound when car is idle!!!

Piece of crap

Got the batmobile for a great deal at Costco for $80. Brought it home, put it together, loaded the app and started her up. Car ran great, had a huge beefy engine roar but once I connected the app to its WiFi, the app crashed. Restarted the app and re-downloaded it too and couldn’t get the connection again. Tried all trouble shooting and video tutorials and nothing:( super disappointed. Taking this hunk of junk back to Costco as I type this. Getting a refund and using the money to get some Costco pizza. At least the pizza won’t let me down. Sorry bats, we could of had a great relationship

Just a little more tweeks

I really love this rc! A few things that would make this app better would be an option to record some of the live video feed and maybe an option to either power up/down the car from app as long as “on “ switch is active on car. As far as the car itself, LED flashing lights on the cannon and rotating machine guns. And also would be great to see battery life status.

Dosent connects because I have an iPhone

It is completely and utterly disappointing, useless, rude, and just down right disrespectful to your customers that you haven’t provided a software update for iOS devices to use the batmobile, bought it once off of mercari ( a second hand app) and sent it back thinking it was just a broken product, then purchased another one from Walmart and actually trusted brand to see if it would work and it turns out the vehicle dosent work bc Mattel dosent support iOS devices with this app, completely wasted my time and money and completely frustrated because this batmobile is really cool when it works, but if you have an iOS device it won’t.

I figured it out

I just received this batmobile as a gift, and I was also having a problem pairing my phone with the vehicle. So tried resetting it to make it work, and it got me nowhere. I finally went into the app settings for this app and turned off cellular data off on my phone for this app and that fixed it. Worked like a charm after that with no issues. I hope this helps others that are also having the same problem with this that I initially had.

Turn off cellular data then you’ll be fine

Thanks to someone who said that the cellular should be off when using this app. My phone was freeze when using the app. I almost decided to return it to Costco until I read those reviews here. The app worked very well after I turned off cellular data. Please do it if you have problem with the app.

Come on Mattel help us! Update this app so it works

I am saying that the iOS is having issues with connectivity. I have done everything over and over that the instructions told me to do to gain connectivity through Wi-Fi. It just keeps telling me “unable to join network”. I’m hoping that the developer sees this and tries to do something because we are paid a lot of money for this and we want it to work properly. Please help us figure something out

Problems connecting

Thanks to who ever post the fact that you had to turn off your cellular data on you phone in order to connect to the APP control I was almost ready to return the car back to the store because I couldn’t connect. This should be part of the instructions when you are downloading the APP. Mattel should include this on the instructions fast so people are not struggling. other than that the car works great I like all the sounds effect.
