Been here before. Still a great time!

I have played a lot of gacha and this one stays true to the path laid out by Summoners War and closely, but not entirely, follows the model of Epic Seven. Although it certainly doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it does just enough to keep me hooked. First, the characters are incredibly well designed. Very cool subtle animations which helps each stand out. Progress with a character is not locked behind multiple summons, thank God. A lot of characters (over 200 at the time of this review). It borrows the low drop rates from other games which both adds to frustration as well as to the joy when you get a good drop. This helps make your team feel like your own. Skills, gear, and leveling can all be obtained through grinding. A bit light on content but PVP is done well and will keep you coming back. If you’re looking for a different take on a good formula, it’s certainly worth a try.

HONEST REVIEW!

This game is only for whales, if you don’t have any money don’t even bother playing this game… you will be stuck in a loop of getting the same stuff every day and never progressing! I’ve played this game for a month now and I am still not even done with the story mode because I get the same stuff without being able to upgrade… but oh if I spend some money then they will give me exactly what I need… come on just stop it! I gave it 2 stars because it is visually stimulating for a while… but after having to farm the same level for 3 days in a row because I need 10 purple glyphs is absolutely ridiculous! Oh wait I got another terrible character that I’ve never seen before? There’s another 3 days PER GLYPH which mind you there are 6 per set… absolutely insane… by the time the character becomes viable I’m so bored that I don’t care! And again this is coming from someone that is still playing it…

Best Turn Base RPG Available

This game has surpassed all expectations. I started as a free to play player and loved all the content this game provides for those who don’t spend money. The pity system works well and though obviously anyone would love for the developers to hand out legendary units like candy the way it’s set up keep me playing. The QOL is also present with constant updates adding new feature and characters that the meta is constantly changing. For a game that’s only been global for a few months it shows so much potential. If your looking for a well polished game with a development team that cares about what they are putting out then this game is perfect. I also want to note the the character designs and graphics as a whole are detailed and stunning.

Worth the time

Gives so much to the players!! It’s incredible to think that a gaccha game would take care of their players. This automatically keeps it in the running and keeps ppl coming back. Little slow at first but gets great! edit: It’s been a minute since last rating and I can honestly say I’m addicted. Just nonstop able to play and it’s very ftp friendly! Would recommend any day over the other big ones!Edit#2…. 40 days I’m still playing everyday. Resources are a little harder to come by and summons are very limited now. If you play smart you can easily excel being ftp still. Still better than raid in my opinion and I played raid for 2 years.

This game is not new

This game has been out on pc a few months before it came too iOS, So everyone has an advantage over you and you’ve missed a lot of events and the chance to reroll your account before they nerfed it soooo those people also get to start with more legendaries then you do.. The game will give you a free legendary around chapter 2 or so and it will help you a lot for a few days but that legendary will quickly become irrelevant unless you have alot of money to summon duplicate copies of that legendary too ascend them(7 copies to be exact) that’s where the real P2W kicks in and as the champion pool becomes more and more saturated over time this will be impossible for F2P and low spenders. The game has absolutely no marketing team so it’s very unlikely the player base will continue to grow and with there HUGE pay walls and clunky overall gameplay I think it would be best to pass on this one. Gacha games are a dime a dozen and released frequently so I would wait a little longer for a better one

As far as Gacha goes, this ain’t bad

I was able to get a 6* within the first week, something that took a month in Raid Shadow Legends. It could just be they are allowing this to lure people in though so beware in time. I’m working on a second one which I might be able to get at the end of the week. Other nice things to note are graphics, unique characters, a variety of different game modes, and above all how easy it is to get around the UI. You can access any part of the game in about two clicks. Very nice. The best thing above all is the lack of equipment removal costs. I’m a game where you want to try different characters this is the most important thing. You can play everyone you get. The downside is the beginning. It will take some time to get to a point where you actually get to do something. It’s so easy you don’t have to think for the first 30-60 minutes of game. Other than that, there is the fundamentally flawed pvp of gacha. Nothing matters except how much money you give. I’m not sure yet if there are any missions that require you to get to a certain unattainable rank. There are also about 10 pop ups to close each login. These offers priced the same as other similar games (less than Raid ofc).

Awesome and addictive game.

I’ve never done a review I don’t think, but I feel as if this game deserves one. Although it’s a gacha game, it doesn’t make you feel like you HAVE to spend tons of money to be able to play and enjoy it. The characters and their abilities are great, the graphics, the dungeons, the gear, everything is great imo. It’s one of the only gacha games I’ve been able to enjoy without being pressured into spending tons of money to get a little farther ahead. The rare heros are also very usable, and in some instances better than some legendaries, so there’s a wide variety of teams and builds you could do for everyone. Many other games keep only the epics and legendaries as usable, but here, even some rares have a spot on many amazing teams. Top notch, devs are consistent and always tweak the game every week, apply buffs to those who need it, they listen to the community feedback. A 5/5 for me.

F2P Friendly

First time I’ve written a positive review for anything. If you’re playing Raid: Shadow Legendary Money-Grabbers and not Awaken: Chaos Era, you are wrong. First off, I haven’t spent any money on this game since it came out and I’m still progressing in the game. That’s a big win.The characters are varied and look great, and not just a lot of B.S. re-skins. The storyline is good. My only complaint about the game is just that: the dialogue text is longer than it should be. Even skipping it takes time. But overall, that’s a minor complaint for a solid, well-made game without money-hungry devs tricking you into spending money. I get it, a company needs to make money. That’s ok with me. Just don’t be a bunch flashy, thieving little $h*+bags.I’ll probably purchase something soon, just to show support and appreciation to these guys for not being giant d-bags.

Pleasantly Surprised

This game has just about everything I wanted. Top notch graphics, great story, creative environments, awesome and abundant character design. My only complaint is that this game has way to much verbiage in its story line. I wanted to show it off to people but they lost interest by the time I could get to a fight. I also felt uncomfortable because the tutorial just never seemed to let go. I needed it for a little while as I am really just getting into playing phone games but there were times I wanted to start doing things on my own like level up and the auto tutorial was like no select HERE blink..blink. These things should be introduced at different points in the game inmyop. It was so controlling I started to wonder things like how random is my random character or is he just part of the story. Anyway those were my only two complaints. This games awesome in every other way.

Poorly Made Pay to Play PvE

Honestly, if you don’t plan to spend in this game, save your time and don’t even start it. Like all of these kind of games, it initially has a decent amount of rewards but that dries up fast and you are left with two choices: pay to play or spend over 7 minutes to grind one dungeon level with a drop rate that yields one item every 3 battles. That’s 20 minutes for one glyph and you need 80+ of them to upgrade your skills one level. Keep in mind that there is nothing else you can do during this time—even if it had a useable chat function, the incessant fight scene animations close the text box. The legendary hero summons is 1 hero per 100 summons so if you want to progress in the game, you either have to pay or wait weeks…months…to get 100 summons. There is no PvP and no purpose for guilds other than to try and get a few guild coins a day to save to someday have enough to buy something worthwhile in the guild store. There are pay to win games where you compete against other real people (PvP) and it’s understandable why someone would spend to gain an advantage. It’s beyond me why anybody would spend real money to battle the same bots hundreds of times in a PvE game where there is no competition, no tangible reward and there isn’t even a social aspect to the game.
