This app requires you to create a sign in. I don’t mind creating an account, but as this app requires one AND doesn’t support Sign in with Apple, I’m deleting it from my device and finding a paid alternative.
I rate this app one star because there is nothing to do besides record your voice and you cants even listen to it afterward!I am very upset and that is why I am deleting this app!
I have no idea what happened to this app as it was cool when I first got it. Out of nowhere the volume just whacked out and you can barely hear it no matter how high you turn the volume up. I deleted-reinstalled, reached out to customer service etc. and they didn’t have any answers. It’s basically useless now.
The app works pretty well and usually gets the key right. But I noticed when I was testing it that it doesn’t seem to be able to recognize modes other than major and natural minor. It will give you a key that has the same number of flats or sharps, but with the wrong starting note. For example, I tested it with a song in Bb Dorian, and it told me that it was Ab Major. Other than that, it works just fine.
It would be great if we could use this app without having to login or create an account. I just need a simple app that detects key, and this app does that well, most of the time. While using the app, I click to detect key and now forced to create an account to continue using 1 simple feature. No thanks, why do you need my full name, email everything else for a key detection program?
This is exactly what I needed, Although some may say its “inaccurate” I disagree I think its pretty accurate considering its an external microphone from your phone. I produce music and this has helped me so much, I love it.
Simple and functional, the pop up keyboard is handy for checking if the key is correct. And the app is free with no ads.
Tried this app on several songs. It would give one key, and when retried gave a different key. I tried to use it again the second day to see if I was doing something wrong and it refused to let me try again without paying, So I deleted and looked for something that works.
I love this app, the idea of an auto-key finding app, and how you can integrate it with Auto-Tune. But, it isn’t always right. I played it over a track I made (B♭M/Gm) and it recognized it as E♭M/Cm. I started over at least 10 different times, and only one of those times it was correct. Makes me wonder how accurate it is on tracks that I didn’t make, or tracks that I’m mixing for somebody. The first chord is literally B♭ Major, and there is no A♭ in the song whatsoever. So I’m not sure how it got it wrong. I know this is a new app, I’m sure this may be fixed soon.
It’s a good and easy app, it just need to be more clear about the key because on same music that i mad it giving me alote of diferent keys
Detect the musical key of any tune whether in the studio or on the go. Instantly share and sync the musical key with your Auto-Tune session running on your computer DAW. Auto-Key detects the key by capturing a few seconds of audio and returns the most likely musical key.
