Excellent sounds

My first night using it and I was able to call an eastern screech owl and the little guy responded over and over , then flew over my head .

Not Working.

It's not letting me access the app even though I have an Audubon account. It wants people who are already registered with Audubon to enter their password twice (which seems silly). I enter mine and tap to go to the next field; then the app locks up and I can't get any farther. ERHmdDate: several years later. I can get into the app now. The owl calls make it great all by themselves.

Great app for owl lovers

I love owls and this app has them all. My little one loves looking through all the owls and hearing their different sounds. We have three owls that live on our property and this helps us with all the other owls out there.

Not working - server error

I enter my email address and then I get an error message that says, “Unexpected server error, please try again later”I reached out to the service email address with Audubon and they said that it would be over a week before they have an answer from the developer, but nothing they can do now.

Very Informative apps!

The Audubon apps were the first I ever purchased, starting 10 years ago. I happily paid $11 for each back then...! The apps are so impressive with all of the various descriptors, and I especially love the bird vocalizations which allow one to identify birds without being able to see them. This owl app is in that league as well!

Unethical

What about all the apps people paid for like fish and insects and many others that no longer work? These were not one $1. apps. It was not right to take people’s money and then discontinue the app(s) just because you couldn’t justify support when iOS versions changed. Not nice and until this is resolved, I will never purchase anything that says Audubon on it again.

Great reference

I use this app to listen to their sound. We hear a few owls through the summer at night. I can compare what I heard with this app and make a pretty certain identification.

Cool but buggy app

I downloaded this app for my toddler, and the download video command seems like it could help for viewing videos in the absence of an internet connection. However, the videos appear to be bugged as tapping on any video prompts you to download the app content, even after you have already successfully done so. The pictures and owl calls all work, this appears limited to the videos (which is one of the biggest reasons I downloaded). Otherwise, a nice app!

Great!

Love this app. Only fault I’ve found is the great grey owl hoot. Not really accurate as it replays a tiny snippet over and over but it’s a minor thing and doesn’t detract enough to lower the rating. Get this app if you are interested in owls. It’s awesome!
