They fixed it! Edited review.

Through some glitch, eStories was not able to contact me. When I reached out again, they used a different means and worked with me consistently and tirelessly until my problem was solved. Now that I am able to listen again I am very happy, once again, with this app. I highly recommend eStories! This app worked perfectly until it did not. Now I am still billed but can't download or listen to any of my books. The worst part is that I contacted eStories 10 days ago and they haven't bothered to do more than send an automatic response. Really disappointed!!!

Problem fixed - EDITED REVIEW

I got a response from the developer telling me how to remedy my situation. But before I had a chance to do as instructed, my problem was fixed. The developer acted quickly. I have upgraded my rating to a 4 from a 3. It would be a 5 if I hadn’t had so much trouble to begin with. Thank you developer for getting my account back on track! If my rating was based solely on customer service, I would rate you a 0. I like the audiobook service and the price. I have an issue with trying to reach a REAL LIVE PERSON. I need to update my payment info and I keep trying to use the link you send in my “turn off” emails. Usually the link doesn’t work. When it finally worked, I put in my new info and I’m still getting turn off email. I’ve searched for a phone # and can’t find one anywhere! I’m leaving this feedback because I don’t know how else to reach you. Feeling really aggravated.

Enjoying the digital freedom of eStories!

Just started using it and I’m really enjoying this app so far. My favorite functions are being able to upload my own audiobooks into my library and downloading purchases, DRM free! It’s nice to be able to store my downloads how/where I want and manage my own library. Keep up the great service!

Killing my battery

Every couple of days the app will drain my battery from 100% to 50% within 30 mins and It keeps cutting off as well so I have to delete the app and reinstall it and that is usually fix it for a few days. If it wasn’t for that issue I’d give it 5 stars cause it’s great other than that. I’m a little worried that it might permanently mess up my battery because of that

Really buggy lately

I really liked this app until a few weeks ago. Now it seems really glitchy. If i open another app while this one plays in the background, the screen is black when I open this app back up. I have to completely close out to pause the book. On the locked home screen I was able to pause or play. Now it just shows the play button even when the book is playing (instead of showing a pause button). Other times the chapters don’t seem synced and the playback will just stop playing. I’m hoping some of these bugs can be fixed soon.

App glitch and ZERO customer service response

I am so frustrated! I have two audiobooks in my library that will not download and I get the error message “playback failed” whenever I try to listen. I was super excited about starting these titles and emailed customer support right away to get some help! After no response for 2 days I tried again and still nothing!! Luckily it was an intro offer and I didn’t pay that much, but I’m going back to audible because this isn’t worth it.

Good audiobook app

This app is great! Functions a lot like Audible's app. My only complaint is about the forward/backward skip feature: you can't adjust the number of seconds, like you can with Audible's. Gets annoying having to listen to the last 30 seconds just to hear that one phrase you missed. Other than that, I've thoroughly enjoyed it!

Screen Black When Playing Stories

EStories is wonderful for content. However, it doesn’t work so well on iPhone. The screen is black. I would also like the search bar to give me a choice to play my book, not just show me I own it. The navigation is challenging with over 100 titles and the font being so small with no ability to zoom in.

Now great

UPDATED: the update I downloaded fixed the problem. I don't like that this app restarts my book chapters when I pause reading for the day. Frustrating for sure. Also, the skipping ahead feature or dragging the dot to advance the chapter the book place doesn't match the words until you pause and restart. Some annoying bugs. Hope to update this with a review saying it works great.

Garbage app, don’t waste your time

I hadn’t used this app in awhile but decided to try it again since I had books I hadn’t listened to. Two days and and unknown number of chapters into a book it reset my listening host to the beginning and now won’t let me fast forward to try to find where I was in the book. So frustrating and no easy way to get help!I tried a different book and was able to finish. The listening time and chapter count and worthless. They are never correct. While listening it told me I had reached over 200% of the book before I got to the end. For the same book it claimed there were 18 chapters but the book was over in less than 10 chapters. You cant see the chapters separately and you can’t listen to specific chapters. Which would make it easier to jump back to where I was listening when it resets the book to the start. Bookmarks don’t work at all. I tried adding book marks to several books and none of those saved. The saved button was completely unresponsive. This means I can’t address the problem of the resetting the book to the start by setting a bookmark to go back to.
