Great game, 2 issues

1. Saving up for 500 billion for the last event auctions is ridiculous, you have to constantly get coin multipliers or wait until the next event comes around in order to get anywhere near it. It’s incredibly frustrating, and it took me months to even do it on the Egyptian event, which was the first one. 2. The rates for getting new caretakers is also garbage. I’ve been playing this game since it came out, and I’m just missing one caretaker. I get a free caretaker every morning and every night, every day, and I’m just missing one in the 1-4 star area. I’ve almost maxed out everyone of that level, and I just need the last guy. On top of that, I’ve spent over 3,000 gems at least buying 4-6 star caretakers, and I only get repeats now. No new caretakers in any events. I’ve even gotten the same 6 star character 5 times, it’s so dumb.Other than those things, I love this game, that’s why I’ve kept it around. But because of those two issues, I’m frustrated. The gala has really helped though

LOVE THIS GAME!!!

I got this cause I thought the art style was cute and I needed something to do to pass time between my classes during my longer days at campus. I did not expect to absolutely love this game but I do! It’s incredible! The art is adorable, it’s simple but just the right amount of details. The stylized versions of famous art pieces are very well done, and the overall design of the game itself is great. I normally feel like these games can become a bit of a chore but I enjoy playing this game and checking how my museum is doing. The auction system is very good, although a bit slow in the bidding sometimes when a certain character lets you get to the third count before out bidding you. But that’s just one character and kind of funny lolol. Overall it’s a great game and the ads are totally not a pain at all, since they’re totally optional and you always choose to see them rather than having them everywhere. I love this game and I’m very impressed by it, so I had to write a review to share my love.

Needs some tweaking.

***I’m revising this review and reducing the stars as I’ve had more time to play the game. The art stealing really is game breaking. I have it happen basically every time I log back into the game. Barely 1PM and I’ve had it done 5 times today already. There is nothing I can do to prevent it from happening. On the off chance the caretaker finds the thief, he gets immediately incapacitated by the thief and the art is stolen anyway. They always take my most profitable item and I lose hours of progress for NO REASON. The art theft adds zero gameplay value to the game and arbitrarily punishes the player. It’s infuriating to have this happen virtually every time I load the game. Give the user an active chance to prevent this with some kind of mini-game if you insist on keeping this unless and frustrating element in the game.Original review: Interesting game, but needs some tweaking. You’re art gets stolen waaaaaay to often. It cripples your income and sets you way back. It’s basically punishing the player unnecessarily and creating an ad grab. Tapping the visitors is pretty pointless as it provides essentially no income. Progress is slow and the price increases on certain things like exploration is ridiculous. I like the style and unique gameplay, but needs some fixes if it going to hold my attention for more than a few days longer.

One problem..

I love this game, it’s incredibly fun and I do recommend it... but the one thing that bothers me is the huge prices. I’m always getting new paintings, right? So, naturally I need more space to place them. The problem I have is how HUGE the prices are! It went from 1 million, 10 million (which already took me awhile,) and now 1 billion coins? That’s really annoying and time consuming when it only gives you ONE extra space. It’s not like you can buy more coins with real money, because the maximum number you can buy is 2 million. Fix the prices and it’ll be 5 stars. Thanks!Edit: Taking the score down to 2 stars, it’s getting really annoying. First of all, I get a painting stolen like two times a day. There isn’t a moment that goes by without one painting being stolen, and not only is that annoying, but it also makes the coin issue and the extending space issue worse. It gets rid of the money that I spent hours attempting to get. If you expect me to pay the ridiculous price of 1 billion coins to get more space, I expect you to get rid of the stealing feature. It’s incredibly annoying, and it used to be my favorite app on my phone! I no longer recommend this app, unless they fix these features. Please fix this! I know apps are hard to create and update, but this problem should be fixed for the happiness of the users playing the app. Thanks!

Fun and cute, could use some tweaks

I love the art style of this game, its so cute and charming and the nods to real life art pieces are fun... although why it mixes contemporary art with dinosaur and other artifacts seems like a mix of settings. After playing for a bit there’s something really off about the way the game scales up in regards to in-game currency. I’m finding it impossible to progress beyond the 1b tier of upgrading the museum, and in app purchases seem to only grant coins in the millions, which i can generate easily in a matter of minutes. I upgrade my “artifacts” as much as I can but it doesn’t really increase my earnings. I’ve purchased all of the items from all auctions. The paintings being stolen is very frustrating at adds nothing to the game. Characters give me tasks to complete but the payout is less than I earn in a matter of minutes. Basically, this game is charming but deeply broken and a good example of why the math for this type of game needs to be very carefully planned out in order to retain players. Hopefully can be fixed!

Just meh

This game is FULL of glitches. Let me start off and say that this game isn’t all bad. It is a fun game. I enjoyed it quite a bit in the beginning collecting all the artifacts. When you start off and you have lots to do the glitches don’t bother you so much but after you’ve collected 95% of them and are just waiting around for a caretaker to go searching for the last ones each unaddressed glitch after another it really eats at you. Example? In the Gala Museum I somehow have 11 slots to display artifacts when there’s only 10 in game. The caretakers are in the incorrect spot. Boosters aren’t applied to roaming guests. Missing puzzle pieces on artifacts in the new challenge. You are sometimes unable to exit a screen after viewing an ad. (They claim to have patched all of these) The list goes on and on. This team hasn’t really invest much in this game and it shows. Just trying to squeeze as much money out of you buy special caretakers, boosters, or upgrade. Unless you HAVE to collect all the artifacts this game isn’t worth playing after the first week. Like the title indicates, just meh.

Great game but progression stops

This game is really great, but I give four stars because it seems to stop your progression for collecting everything. I am missing several art pieces and have no option to get them. I have completed all auctions, and no matter which caretakers I choose, I have stopped getting exploration quests.Similarly, with the fountain fully upgraded, I am recruiting quite often. I have yet to unlock four 5 star characters and two 6 star, and I have opened a lot of doors! Instead of helping you complete your collection, I have gathered 3k in dollar bills from caretakers who are maxed out. I feel that you should unlock new stuff before this happens, until you truly have everything maxed, or at least lower the probability. It just feels that either the game isn’t actually completed yet with the proper data, or the developers are purposely stopping progression so you will keep playing for nothing, or worse, keep spending money on gems that won’t actually help you compete your collection.The way to keep people playing is to add new stuff to the game, not stop people from getting 100% by throttling the progression. I hope this gets fixed soon, as there has been no more point in playing for the last week or two.

Good game, could use improvements though.

I’d like to start off saying this first, overall the game is extremely enjoyable and easy to pick up whenever even if it’s at brief moments at a time. The artwork is really pleasing to look see and the game is pretty fun to play. My biggest issue with this game is moreso the fact “higher valued” artifacts don’t really generate more coins. The player could purchase a painting valued at 10+ million but generate the same amount of coins as something worth 1 million. It’s somewhat of a drawback for me since it basically slows progress. Another problem ( bug? ) I found was during auctions, is telling some of the artifacts apart. There’s been a few times throughout my play through where a sculpture/painting had no differences from the fake ones. Finding the real one in this case is purely dumb luck. My final thought and suggestion is I’d like to see is more options to customize the museum since there isn’t a whole lot to choose from ( why not character customization too while you’re at it? ). I look forward to your next update!

Great Game!

This game is a one of a kind. At first I thought it was going to be a lot like tiny tower, and I did for about a day, until I figured out what the featured artwork icon in the top left meant. That makes the game much different from tiny tower alone, not to mention the horizontal gameplay vs vertical gameplay. This game is also a collecting game, rather than buildings game, which I really like! I’ve always loved collection games and this game is no exception! I would like to see some more variety in the visitors behaviors to add to the ambiance of the game, along with more decorations and more to do with diamonds. Some visitor behaviors I had in mind were people sitting in the chair and sketching, people either taking pictures or looking at it more carefully, or people that are reading the plaque. These might seem nit picky, but I think it will add a LOT to the atmosphere of the game similar to Disco Zoo. I also think people should make more comments to their friends or family about the artwork. Maybe add some art specific lines? I also think a section of collection should be earned from an online auction, like you have to bid against other players or something, the only problem would be people who paid to get a ton of coin, but I guess it’s up to you as a the devs what happens next. These are a few humble suggestions as an app lover. Thanks! Can’t wait to see what’s next in the game!

AMAZING, but....

Updated review: have to give 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 because I stopped playing. It just takes way too long to expand your museum which makes me not want to go to auctions which makes me not want to play. Also, my art gets stolen so often and the app freezes when that happens. This game is amazing. I saw it on the App Store a month ago and preordered it. I was super pumped when I saw it appear on my home screen. The game itself is fun and you actually do make money fairly quickly. I do have a few suggestions though... firstly, I wish I could display more art in my museum without it being SO expensive. It goes from 1 million to 1 billion to 100 billion! It’s just too far of a jump to keep me interested in playing the game. I’ve already reached a billion, but I want to actively grow my museum and 100 billion just seems like it’s going to take a very long time. I really enjoy the double money with ads, and that you can watch multiple ads for more time. I don’t mind watching ads because this game is great, and whoever designed it should be making money from it! The museum needs more personality too! We should be able to paint the walls, change floor, add decor, etc. it’s annoying seeing an ugly boxed area at the end, despite being a billionaire. Also we haven’t earned cash which can buy other things. Overall, a GREAT game! Just please add more things to keep the game interesting and fun!
