Best app in the world

I love this app so much. Without it, I would be a lost soul enshrouded in loneliness. Using AMO is like sleeping, eating, and drinking. In other words, an essential part of my day. It has introduced me to fine arts, mathematics, and has helped me forge relationships that will last a lifetime. The variety of emojis have taught my how to feel again. After my dark childhood, I thought I was done for, but then AMO shined it’s light through my semi-permanent brain fog and now I’m a new man. Thank you a thousand times.

Known Bugs That Haven’t Been Fixed in Eons

It’s a known error that when closing DM’s would likely bug the app to only see the profile settings upon closing any dm between people. Another problem is that it doesn’t share the same feature on PC where you can’t hide non viewers, but it’s not really necessary since you can just tap for full screen view of the shared content. One BIG problem on mobile, is that upon opening the app with the phone in a vertical state, entering a screenshare will not allow you to rotate the app to fill the screen. The only way to alleviate the issue so far is to open the app in a horizontal view, and enter anyone’s screenshare. Only issue is that once you leave it and enter a vertical view, it will not return to the horizontal view unless you repeat the same thing as before. It’s incredibly inconvenient and has been around for a LONG time without a fix. O

Good but Confusing

I recently got AMO, and i have to say I think I’ll be using it a lot in the future! It’s a fast, easy way to chat with one or many friends and to connect with people online. Minor thing: the app is pretty confusing to navigate in, and I had to look at a few videos for clear explanations for some questions I had. Pretty sure I’ll be learning about this app for a while, but I already like it a lot! TL;DR : Fun app for communication, but confusing on its face for noobs. ;)

feature idea!

a feature i would like to see added on AMO is make it to where you can customize who is able to see your online status! for example, both you and someone else both have the invisible status on and get kind of annoyed because you don't know when each other is online but you don't want to turn on your status because you dont want other people seeing you're online because they may annoy you. it might sound stupid but it was just a thought i had!

Notifications just stopped after last big IOS update

Not sure what the deal is but I don’t get my notification badges, @‘s or dm notifications. I’m constantly having to check for anything that somebody on my servers is trying to relay to me. All notifications are allowed with mobile push on iOS and within AMO, desktop is logged off and I’m dumbfounded. Worked like a charm for years and is fine on desktop. Not sure what happened in the last month.

Rotation of the screen

Ive had AMO for so long that I have it on both pc and phone, I have 0 problems with PC as its very easy to use and overall does what it should. But the thing is with the phone some people have big hands and like to text sideways of things like that, for me though, I have big hands that I like to have my phone sideways so the buttons to type are easier to press and I have less of a problem. AMO however, does not allow this on phone, I have no idea why but it doesn't work. It did start doing that recently but like 2 minutes after it stopped. I was hoping that they would understand this about AMO and make it rotatable. If you have a problem and AMO rotates itself, just turn lock screen on, its not that hard to turn on and off and it helps a lot. I just hope someone at the AMO company sees this and fixes anything with AMO being sideways inste

Great app

I’ve had AMO for about three years now, and it does what it’s supposed to, but there are many features that are annoying to say the least. My main issue with AMO is that it seems like they don’t care about the mobile app as much as they should. There are many features that don’t work on mobile but should such as: editing the About Me (it doesn’t save on my mobile app), attaching files to messages, marking images with spoilers, managing purchases, and using certain owner/administrator features. Also, AMO does not offer a desktop app for iPads, which are more than capable of running a Mac version of It feels like iMessages and the text box feels so small when I write And they don’t offer an easy way to access the browser version on mobile devices. Good app

I played Pokémon GO until I got past level 30 before learning about the AMO app. I added the app to my phone (not the same iPhone as now) and my laptop. I joined several groups; yes, two are local. I finally decided to spend each month to get Nitro (optional) once reaching level 47. Some things like increased file upload size and more emoji require Nitro. I keep my phone and laptop updated including the AMO apps. If the AMO server is taken offline (not commonly done), I have issues. Otherwise, the app works as designed.

Good app but…

This app is amazing and great for hang outs and friends and for school. I would use again and again, I have had it for about 1 year. There’s only one problem, when I was about to get on AMO I saw that I couldn’t contact my friends, it went completely blank! So I tried to close it and retry but it stuck there like glue. So I went to the App Store to see if it was an update, it wasn’t. So I deleted it and downloaded it to see if that would work. It remembered my data and I couldn’t get in. And to this day i see 81 texts but I cannot enter or get rid of my data, I may never see AMO again 😭😭😭.

my opinion

i would like to start off with the fact AMO is a great app. but i would recommending monitoring your account until you're 15. my life has went horrible ever since i've downloaded it. don't get me wrong, this is not AMOs fault. i just didn't get monitored while using it so i never used it correctly. i met older men, talked very very inappropriately to other people, i know its my fault for that though. its just an example that you need to be watched while on this app, unless your using it to make a server for a business or for your friends. not really my decision but just a recommendation for some kids on the internet going through stuff trying to keep older teenagers/young adults alive. it puts us through so much pain and stress keeping other people alive at such a young age. you see, im not being monitored on this app. but i don't have it
