Lost goals really are lost?

LOST GOALSAfter playing and unlocking the new character I could not find any of the aforementioned lost goals. If you need to level up all the way to get them that is deeply disappointing as I am only level 31.NEW CHARACTER(SPOILER)The new character does not offer much of the promised new gameplay opportunities other than a cool backflip animation (which can make it hard to land sometimes) and a revive function.PROGRESS TRANSFERIs a cool feature and I am glad they added it in although for some reason instead of porting my save of level 31 it moved one of level 25 for some reason; so I had to level up to 31 again.BASE GAMEIs still beautiful as always, so if you have not downloaded the original version this is still well worth getting even with the somewhat underwhelming bonus features.CONCLUSIONI think this game is a 8-9/10 if you have not played the original, but if you have played the original and are here for the bonus content, 6/10.

I love it, but what if…

I love this game. I love the goals, the art, and the concept in general. The only reason I bumped down to 4 stars is because of the darkness. I have good vision and can’t enjoy the game once it turns twilight. If I turn my brightness all the way up, it helps, but it doesn’t solve the problem. I’m sure those with vision difficulties would not be able to fully enjoy this game. I would love the ability to “turn off night time”. I know the day-night cycle is part of the design, but I can’t fully enjoy the game when I can’t see.

Incredible game but there is an issue

I have an iPhone 13 pro and I played Altos Odyssey Lost City first and really like the way 120hz felt and once I downloaded altos adventure and turned on pro motion I noticed that altos adventure isn’t utilizing 120hz like altos odyssey after comparing them back and forth so I just wanted to bring it to your attention so it could get fixed because the game is great so I didn’t want to give anything less than a 5 star review but it would be great if altos adventure could be made compatible with 120hz on iOS

Boring

Ive never written a review before but I just don’t understand why people love the game. I’ll give it 3 stars for graphics but the game play is just not there. It’s so so boring. I can understand how it can be a relaxing game but it’s also frustrating when you want to see a little action and try to do a mediocre flip and fail because the level design rng doesn’t give you big cliffs or actively change and render based on your characters movement. Why not let me have fun in the game? Only one control with only one trick and the same level time and time again. There is no “challenge” other than not dying which isn’t very enticing.

One Word: Pitu

The game is a great successor to the Lost City. I love how smooth it runs at 120 fps. But once you unlock Pitu the game turns to easy mode. I unlocked him at level 14 or 15 and sprang to level 20 in one sitting. Almost all the Lost Goals require him. He doesn’t trigger any of the Elders and he gets to reset after crashing. Additionally, his backflips are Whirlwind backflips that take him further and higher than other characters. It kinda turns the game to easy mode and leaves little reason to play as other characters. It’s still fun to play in Zen mode and go forever essentially but the challenge feels removed after getting Pitu.

I love this

Set a reminder for this game 2 weeks ago and I’m excited it’s finally here. The game is good. Great even. It’s full of fun challenges that even make you wanna chuck your phone or controller sometimes. The design is great and immersing. The sound of sliding on the AirPod pros are crisp. One tip to keep in mind for new players do not and I repeat DO NOT try to double backflip. It is something you think you can make but after 3 hours of gameplay I’ve come to the conclusion you can’t. Anyways this is a well thought out game apple you’ve done it again I can’t wait for more in the future.

Overall good game

Overall good game, worth the download, but I wanted to share some thoughts. I like the concept and the zen nature of the game, but wish there were a bit more challenge/reward aspects to it. I took one look in the shop and realized I wasn’t playing for any of that stuff, so I’m pretty much only playing for fun at this point, not to progress at all. It would be cool if you could upgrade things in the shop such as your backflip speed, your goggles/vision to see rocks easier, upgrade your board or strength to jump higher, etc. I also think it would be cool if you could front flip using the right side of the screen so you could have a chance to even yourself out and stick song landings that you currently cannot

Very Nice Game, But Needs Some Improvements!

First, this game is beautiful. It's like a more sophisticated version of Ski Safari.Basically, the game is centered around a snowboarder that infinately travels down a long mountain. The game is pretty. It has a day-night cycle too, reminiscent of it's sibling game Skate City — also from Snowman. However, that's where I see the biggest problem with the game. I can't see the rocks! I'll be sliding down the mountain, having a good time, then — WHAM! This little siloette of a rock got me.Worse, I'm not here to see if the game meets WCAG 2.1 compliance, but come on — there's dark text on a dark background. It's just not legible. This game could take a cue from Mini Motorways, where a high-contrast mode is added. One goal requires playing at night, so the dark environment is part of the game. Yet, I think they could fix it.— Make the rocks easier to see— Make the text easier to seeOther than that, beside the fact that I miss and prefer the zaniness of Ski Safari, this game is alright. I like it.I played it in 4K on my Mac — looks good!

This game got soul

This game looks hard and difficult at first, but when you keep playing it, you will be amazed and shocked by how beautiful this game is. The loneliness and spirit in the game makes you obsessed. Each character has its own soul and personality, the skiing style for each character is also different. The more you play it, the more you will feel a sense of freedom and joy.The vibe of this game is hard to tell, it’s lonely yet free, light yet strong, excited yet chill. That’s why, I think this game got soul…Great work! Thanks to those people who build such game!
