Best English learning podcast !!

They are super smart girls that teach real speaking English. We can listen many times the same episode and we still will have something to learn.Question: sneak peek. Is it only used in writing English, like in websites to introduce some ideas about what people will find inside? Or can I use it for example talking to a friend , giving her some ideas about how a trip was, or sending her some pics to give her the understanding about the atmosphere from some place? Also: is it always a name or can it be used as a verb??? ‘She was sneak peeking through the fence to see what they were doing’. And as a nome, how can I use it in a phrase? ‘Here are some sneak peeks from my trip’.Last, could you give me some other ways to express the same idea, that are common in speaking? Thank you so much!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

How do you use "over here"?

I have started living in the US since the last April and keep lisning ali ears English almost everyday in the morning. It is very useful to know the expressions which cannot be learned in textbooks and are necessary to communicate with native speakers effectively.Also, I'm listening this podcast to get used to the natural speed and pronounciations by native speakers as well as to practice my speaking skill by shadowing what Lindsay and Michelle says in the show.If you want to establish good communication with native speakers, you should definitely listen to this one.Here is my question. How can we use "over here?" and what is the difference between "over here" and " over there"?I came up with this question this morning because when I asked a staff member in my company to let me know the location of a product. At the time he said "Oh, its over here" with pointing out one direction.Lindsay and Michelle, could you tell me the meaning and its nuanc and difference from over therevThank you very much.I am going to keep all ears english to be a pearson who can communicate with native speakers easily and establish good relationship with them.

Fantastic app

I really enjoyed using this app to not only learn English but to hear it discussed in very marvelous ways. I love the videos that are built-in such as surviving the cold in Boston or traveling through Union Square in New York. The creators did fantastic job at being very personable and speaking clearly, concisely and with confidence putting the listener at ease. They are extremely passionate about others being able to confidently speak English and making connections with other native speakers. Very dynamic content being discussed in the audio including such topics such as is there racism in this country? Love the other speakers that are included as well. The layout of the app is phenomenal and is on par with all their professional apps I've seen regarding language and even sports talk radio. Job well done!! Phenomenal app😇

Your app was recommended by a influencer so I should confess how much lucky I was to get familiar with your app. Listening to your podcasts has totally improved my listening skill! I’ve been getting prepared for ielts exam in order to apply for a university. I’m gonna take it in 3 months. There is one question I wanna ask :: is it alright to use “you know” as a time filler in speaking sections of ielts?Also, I really wanna buy your 3 keys but unfortunately it’s too expensive for Iranian due to cost of dollars! beyond that I haven’t got any credit card of some sort☹️ I really don’t know what to do! Best podcast hands down

I started listening to this podcast 3 years ago. I wasn’t able to understand more than 40-50% of what they were saying on the episodes. Now, I understand more than 99%. It takes time to learn but you have to start at some point. It doesn’t happen automatically. You have to make the “conscious” decision to start listening it every day and you’ll see results. I’m originally from Venezuela (I speak Spanish) but I’m living now in Texas. 3 years ago I was working in a restaurant as a dishwasher. 7 hours a day. I decided that if I wanted to reach my goals, I had to learn English. I started listening to this podcast 7 hours a day 5 days a week. I also had another motivation. My son has a rare muscular disease. I didn’t want to keep using interpreters to be able to talk with my son’s doctors. Now, I have my own business so I’m able to support my family and do something that I love. I’m a Real Estate Photographer/Videographer. 99% of my day is in English ( Even on the phone, sounds terrifying isn’t it?). I make mistakes in English everyday but we believe in connection, no perfection 🤗. You can reach your goals too and this app is going to be crucial in your journey. Michelle and Lindsay, thanks so much for your ward work.

Because of one occasion i started listening to your podcast, and i’ve listened to your podcast for almost 4 years. Initially, I couldn't quite understand about what you said because at that time my English is so terrible. But after a period of time, I could understand almost. Girls, you don’t have idea how I’ve improved my listening with you. I’m from Venezuela and I came to San Francisco, (USA) a year ago. I’ve studied English but I have a problem, around me there are so many latin people, then I can’t speak English whole day, as I’d like it. But thanks help me a lot. I have to petitions:I was journalist in my country, so I’d like to listen suggestions, vocabulary and common things about this world in EEUU and how a non native speaker can be a good and competitive journalist here. I’d like to work in that field so soon. Maybe you could invite to someone. A American journalist. That’s would be great!!!! The second one but not less important, while I try to improve my English for looking for a job as journalist, I’m working in a cafe/bakery/restaurant and I got a promotion as Barista-Cashier (I was cook) I’d love to listen from you vocabulary, suggestions of how to be nice with the costumers. Which are the best words or sentences for getting a small and nice conversation while I’m taking the orders on the register and offering ours best breads, drinks and plates. Hi Lindsay and Michelle. How y’all doing? Don’t worry about me. I am fit as a fiddle. I started listening to your podcast ( may be 6 months ago) and fell in love with it in the first go. hehe. Since then I have been listening to your podcast every single day.I love the energy level, quality, articulation, and intricacies you ladies bring to the table. Keep up the great work. Claps.My question to you is how to acquire American accent. People like me who are 30 or above, they have slight or strong mother tongue influence. It is hard to do voice modulation and pretend to have American accent. lol. Any tips for that? I also found out that 99% of the time I cannot get the hang of southern accent. To some extent, it is slightly annoying. Is it only with me or others find it the same way as well? I hope nobody from the south reading this. hahaAnother thing is that I reckon I am a fluent speaker when it comes to day to day conversation but when I have to talk about any specific topic, I run out of ideas or take too long to generate thoughts. Hi guys my name is Vagner I’m originally from Brazil and I’m living with my family here in the USA now! I’m 42 years old and I loved your pod cast lessons it’s helping me a lot to improve my English! I was always worried about if I would make mistakes while Im speaking in English but soon as I heard your pod cast saying that we believe in connection NOT perfection made me think better in order not to worry if I’m gonna say right or wrong what really matters is about to make connection! I have been living in the US for more than 8 years now, but still I found the podcasts are super helpful. Thank you Lindsay and Michelle. I have a question on how to express the feelings that someone doesn’t treat you the way you expected and after that happens, you just couldn’t let it go and think about it all the time? I am sure it happens to a lot of people. At the same time, I want to say that I especially love the podcast related to American culture such as the episode on Diner. If you could do more episodes related to American culture and common idioms that you guys use everyday, it would be fantastic! Thank you again!
