Best scanner app in the store

This scanner allows you to monitor multiple channels simultaneously. I live in a big cityAnd the police use five different channels. This app allows me to monitor all of them at once. No longer do I have to use multiple scanner apps all at the same time flipping between them just to keep up. I just set my five channels and sit that well the app does all the work for me. For that feature alone I say this is the best scanner app in the App Store period.

Keep Updating!

This is the only scanner app that allows you to actually scan up to 6 frequencies per band, with 4 total bands. With the rioting going on around the country, this app is a necessity to have with you. I have a bank programmed with my county police and EMS, as well as surrounding counties so when I travel, I can avoid trouble areas. Sometimes the app freezes up when in the background and it does make my 6S run hot, as well as drain the battery, though the battery drain is to be expected with how busy this app is. It would be very helpful if we could find “nearby scanners” as well.I’ve used many but still come back to this one since it’s the only one I’ve found that actually scans. I use it everyday and play it through my Bluetooth as I go out in public in this hostile world we’ve found ourselves trying to earn a living in. Stay aware, stay safe, have personal self defense plans for various scenarios. Things change rapidly in what used to be a stable environment. If this is the “new norm” we better be very prepared to survive in it. Please keep improving this app, it’s a very necessary app to have when out in public, as well as when you’re in your home. The country is under attack by deranged terrorists and we’re on our own.

I am impressed!

I haven't found another "police" scanner except this one that is able to scan more than one frequency at a time. This scanner allows the user to scan up to six channels simultaneously; even in the background, while other apps are open. The volume then comes through loud and clear and other apps are temporarily muted. The options are adequate, and you can adjust volume and squelch for each channel individually. Frequencies can be selected with the usual search options such as city, state, country, etc., and by categories such as fire, police, EMS... with addresses can be entered for online scanner radio channels and each can be labeled with an appropriate icon. I have purchased many other scanners available in the iTunes Store but this is the first one that satisfied my need to be able to search more than one frequency at a time similar to a hand-held portable police scanner radio.

Multiple feeds....wonderful!

The ability to scan multiple feeds simultaneously makes this the best scanner app available!!!Feature request: the ability to set the priority for channels in a bank. If multiple channels are receiving, the feed with the higher priority will play.Nice work!

Worst scanner on the market

Tried because I need to play in the background with other apps.Constantly just stops playing, and you don’t realize until you missed 20 minutes. Also murders your battery. Like 100%-0% in 90 minutes. Claims you can listen to multiple scanners at once, but I’m always down to 1 scanner within 5 minutes because the others will just disconnect out of nowhere. 5-0 radio pro is the best one out there!! Light blue app.

Does not stay connected

Scanner does not stay connected. At times, when you have several feeds going the app shows “preparing” on feeds after being used for awhile. This occurs in 1-2 out of 6 feeds and it’s takes a bit of time. Sometimes 15 minutes sometimes longer. I have verified that the feeds are up by using other apps and the Broadcastify site. To fix, I have to close and restart the app.

New update a few days ago

I absolutely love this app, but have 1 question.What did y’all do with the new recent update a few days ago? Since the update my battery gets sucked down literally 50% in about an hour and my phone gets really hot. As well as my phone no longer charges while plugged in if the app is running.I took my phone in to apple and the could not replicate the issues. The app wasn’t running.Please fix this. I can’t live without my scanner.Thank You!!!

This app is on point. Very easy to use and navigate. No programming problems like old school scanners have. I highly recommend this app for anyone trying to stay up on law enforcement or a step ahead. Remember now people… 12 is the opp

Best scanner

The only scanner that will scan 6 frequencies at a time and listen to 6 at a time. True meaning of a scanner. I am not sure why they have not updated the software and take out a few problems.

Over Great App

Love this app, but it does have some things that could be fixed.1. I would like it to scan all frequencies in a bank simultaneously and give priority to whichever frequency opens up first, as opposed to sequentially running down the list. 2. I would also like the ability to have more banks of channels. 4 banks seems like a lot until you start adding weather banks, and more than 1 county or separate police and fire.3. I would also like to be able to activate/deactivate channels within a bank without having to remove them, or lock scan on a particular channel. For instance, say one channel has an event or something you really want to listen to, without isolating that channel in its own bank, you're at the mercy of the other channels and the sequencing.
