The Perfect iPad Game

This is what gaming on the iPad is about. Great graphics, sound effects, and solid design throughout. Gets more complex as it goes along, but not overwhelming. Once you discover little tricks like upgrading bases, it’s quite manageable. It keeps you busy but not so frantic that you can’t enjoy watching the mayhem unfold. The story/level writing is excellent too. Good job. The aesthetic reminds me of Metroid Prime. Quite addictive. One of the few games in the ten years of owning iPads that I’ve really gotten hooked on.

Nice TD game with some new twists

really enjoyable TD game. “Missing” time multipliers and cant zoom out to see whole map, but it’s part of the gameplay, I think. Need to keep an eye on special attacks and fortifications for timing so the x2/x4 multiplier would make that nigh impossible. Monsters are a tad small (graphically) on a phone device, but attacks and types vary and enjoy the interesting tower mixes needed to successfully fend them off. Definitely not a game where you get an OP tower and just rely on that to wipe everything. Need to carefully consider the pros and cons of each tower type (and advanced branches) to ensure a win.

Pretty good, has some flaws

It’s a fairly enjoyable game.... the levels are a bit too long I think. Generally you have to play ‘zoomed out’ which makes all the enemies really too small... they just look like moving blobs or dots so it’s hard to tell that they have any character. The user interface is ok but it needs some usability refinements. Some things are not obvious enough. Charging bars which you can hardly see. Charging weapons which are hidden in a pop up menu. Cryptic weapon upgrade system. It’s just kind of hard to see and tell what things are, it should be easier. No idea that there was a ‘wall’ you can pop up occasionally, or when it’s ready.. tiny little green dots to tell you? Also setting up a tower upgrade takes like 10 seconds before the weapon fires.. it’s too long. Most of the issues I see really are to do with usability/user-friendliness. But overall the game is fairly playable.

Short lived excitement :: update

Update to the update: normal a lot better, now you all need more experience point levels & a 2nd tier of unit upgrades, no way mining facility through end of game be even close to possible on “hard”. Also, majority of levels game don’t last very long on “endless”, even before the update.This was on its way to be a great TD game. It has two shortcomings, 1.) the “upgrades” you get with tech points are an insult to be called that. 2.) 6th stage (mining colony), game becomes absolutely impossible, even on “normal” setting. I have tried more than dozen different ways to start it out, all end in being crushed. I’m not asking for things to be easy, but this is insane.

Pretty good tower defense game

I love tower defense style games so I thought to try this game. This game was way better than I thought and instead of preventing anyone from reaching your base this game is actually about keeping your base alive. Which I thought was a nice twist to what you see in most tower defense games. I like the pre rendered 3d art work really takes me back. Liked the upgrade system too. The weapons were pretty good only ones I didn’t use that much were the Gatling gun and flame pool gun I felt their counterparts were so much more useful. I wish there were more options for anti air the missle gun does do the job well and you can get a link to air units with lightning gun from ground units. I just wish their was a little more variety to anti-airPretty much if you see flying units get missle guns. Overall great tower defense game definitely a hidden gem I recommend this game if you like tower defense.

Love this game!!

Needs more levels. I’m very happy to see responses from the developers on recent reviews, am hoping that means more levels are coming.So,e things could be better explained; It’s a little bit confusing figuring out how to use the support units such as the drones. The game was crashing and didn’t save my data so I had to restart the level. But I love tower defense so much, I kept playing. This might deter others, though. I’m still not quite sure what upgrading the big base does. Honestly, I’m surprised the game hasn’t been monetized at all. I’d pay money here and there to upgrade units. I actually hope that’s coming because it means more gameplay and more levels. I think developers of great games should be fairly compensated! Beautiful graphics. Love this for a tower defense game. More tower defense! Thank you. Forgot at add, are you Rush fans??

This is a great TD

Solid TD game, with some pretty fun creeps, decent amount of variety, and fun weapons with rewarding upgrades. Even once you figure out what works well, there's still a good amount of challenge—and the increased difficulty settings do genuinely increase difficulty. Yeah, some levels you blow through, but some levels really did take me a number of tries. Tower Defense enthusiasts will enjoy it! My only real wish is that you could zoom a bit closer, to see more details on the creeps.

A great TD game!

Tower defense is one of my favorite game types for playing on my iPad. I have been waiting awhile as not many new TD games have come out. Well waiting was worthwhile as this is an amazing TD game. Great graphics, great gameplay. You do have to grind a bit to get the tickets to power up, but that is how it is in every TD game. If you like Tower Defense than you need to get this game. Well worth the money. Nice premium game with no in app purchases. Let’s support good game makers. Buy and enjoy. I know I am!

Nice But Unbalanced

Raised my rating due to the developer's prompt updates and attention to player feedback. Still, I wonder if they've actually played their own game in Nightmare & Survival mode! I’ve been playing TD games well over a decade and this one is a paradoxical blend of great potential while being quite unbalanced. Still, it's fun and well worth the 2 bucks and a relief to play a game without IAPs or Ads. Good graphics, no crashes and nice touches like being able to change the priorities of the towers although, it doesn't always work as advertised :/ Hoping they'll add more maps as there aren't that many. Be glad to pay for them.

Fun but not quite satisfying. Needs tuning.

Normal Mode was fun and rewarding to beat though short. Hard mode was very challenging and I was unable to find way to beat the last few levels. Cash is in such short supply that you never really get to build towers in most spots even in hard mode. Survival mode seems broken as the onslaught of enemy combos is immediate so that you never get enough cash to build more than a handful of towers. The onslaught also ramps up much too quickly so there is not enough time to earn the money needed to have sufficiently enough upgraded towers to survive more than a few waves. The waves are much stronger than “hard” mode which seems to be missing the point. Survival mode should be an opportunity to keep the game going after it would have ended in normal or hard mode so you can really see a lot of carnage on the screen. The secret to doing that is balancing the size of the waves with the money so it’s not too hard or too easy. At the moment, you have more ability to build and upgrade in hard mode because it’s survivable for more than 5-6 waves.
