Horrible but cool

This is a pretty good app...but one problem whenever I go first on the app it’s just fully white and I do not even know where anything is but I have to admit two things one I found out where the stuff are second it did work on drawing BUT nobody like a blank boring screen when you first get on the game I saw the reviews and I thought it can’t be that bad but it is kinda just to boring honestly like guys if you agree

Like having a conversation with a brick wall

The creators of this app don’t seem to be familiar with the concept of user friendliness. You’re greeted to a blank, lined screen and a handful of non functioning buttons and are left to guess what each option’s vague description is supposed to mean before realizing that it doesn’t matter what you press, nothing is going to happen. Well, that’s not entirely true, the pop up ads work just fine.

Help Gimp usage? Wont work. Plz.

Hi how’s it going goes on I would like to say that I want to use camp I love the software and I just think that there’s a little issue a little minor problem basically if you guys can go and check your guises data servers maybe it’s not him showing exactly how to run it right through the relay servers. It could be a technical issue but as soon as I open the app it takes me straight to new image edit image and files in like that when I push new image tells me the name and eventually name it LOL just for testing and it pulls up a blank screen with editing tools in the bottom it does not look like a desktop version it just looks like a regular app but there’s no way to import my picture there’s no way to open gallery for my photo albums can you guys please maybe take a look into your processing servers and see if you can fix this for me thank you very much my email is well you guys should know it’s on here thank you bye-bye

It’s not what it looks like

The app pictures show a promising paint app. But good thing sometimes turn to bad. The pictures aren’t what the app actually look like. So when I got it it looked totally different. I felt a bit cheated! Maybe more but still. It has clickbait. And even so the app wasn’t even that good. I mean I would have kept it if it was actually GOOD. But it wasn’t. I am disappointed in this app. Don’t buy this app it is a scam thank you for your time.

Gimp for iPad doesn’t work

I downloaded it. It only looks like the far right image. It doesn’t respond. The other images never appeared on my tablet. I press reconnect it says there is an internet error. So I deleted it and reinstalled. Nothing works. I paid the 99cents to get rid of the ads. It is a monthly subscription. It never worked for me. I regret the time I have wasted downloading it. There is no mention of help or any type of directions. It is really bad.

Probably a scam

Im a huge fan of the desktop version, and it’s everything you want in a photo editor, but they tried to put the desktop version on the phone, and you can’t even tilt it or use your fingers to make the screen bigger! If you could do those two things I just mentioned then it would be great, but I feel they only made this to get people using it for the first time to look at the ads, then give gimp the money, then they leave, and one easy way to prove this is that the only ad I have ever seen on it is another effing mobile photo editing app

Disappointing app

Like many others, I downloaded this hoping that it would be similar to the desktop version, or at least a trimmed-down version. This app has two modes: a poor emulation of the desktop version, and a half-functional copy of MS Paint. The “remote” version looks like the desktop version, but imagine you’re running Windows 98 with no video driver; the colors are not even close to being correct. Furthermore, after picking a tool, the app with occasionally display a “please wait” message and fail to do anything. The “local” version works if all you need to do is free-hand paint everything. It has a few tools that mostly work (these also have loading issues periodically), but some of the adjustment sliders are obscured by the ads. Additionally, the effects tool covers up a potion of adjustment sliders that aren’t already covered by ads, so if you slide the bar too low, you have to select a different effect to reset the slider. This mode also includes stamps and emoticons, but the selection is so limited as to be unusable. Overall, this seems like an aborted attempt at getting into the mobile market. It may have some use if you just need to draw basic pictures, but for anyone who is expecting Gimp will be very disappointed.

Useless. Absolutely useless.

The point of an image editor is for you to be able to edit images with it—or at least that’s what it was last time I checked. This one will not access my photos. There are some images that I want to touch up, but I can’t do it because it hasn’t requested access to my photos. Every time I use the “magick” function and try to add a layer, the app crashes. If the option to give a rating of zero stars was an option, I would opt for it.

Useless

First of all, I can't import any photos from my device into the local editor. I have an 11 pro. I can create a new image, then edit the blank image, but how do you make an image editor t h a t d o e s n t i m p o r t i m a g e s??? Am I supposed to figure out how to move them into a special folder? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Then there's the remote editor. It looks just like the desktop version, only nothing is scaled to fit a mobile screen so you constantly zoom in and zoom out using buttons, not native gestures. Then ~I guess~ you can import your images but the zoom thing is a huge annoyance, plus it froze up before I had chance to see if I could actually import anything. Now it says to use an iPad or bigger screen, but this is ios not the ipad operating system so why is it even in the app store if it doesn't work with my device?? even if I did air play it onto a larger screen I still have to use that stupid zoom. As much as I love gimp, this port is pure trash and should be deleted from the app store.

gimp

well I too ran into problems i was I thought excited to see gimp for I thought would work on an apple I Pad,,, well it don’t I as well had a blank screen did the same as your other reviewer, opened it up as new and it failed to open up to the images. I love gimp too I’m one of the users from 2010, I kept my older version as I honestly hated the newer version as it was all different and was not as good as the version I have, and I will never take it off from my desk top or laptop,,, the old vein was true if it wasn’t broken then don’t fix it,,, gimp personnel, you thought you had improved it, gave it updated, look I gotta tell ya,,, Stop, Stop, Stop, you can not improve what was already working great. i hate that gray field and white icons, I had to take it off and go back to my old thumb drive and bring back my saved working above perfect version….. It’s annoying actually, with people not stopping to what was fantastic, working apps or programs, and ruin it in a new version. (2. 8. 20) was your best. the simplicity of it never fails ya….now I was hoping to find a version of it to work with the apple I pad I was given as a early Birthday, Christmas Present,,, sad it don’t,,,, I hope you see from that version I listed and work it for I Pads and Apples… You are awesome ,,, yours faithfully terry alan vincent, Illinois
