Good concept, but...

Tried to unlock more levels, the game tells me to watch a video, then says they're out of videos which by default gives me the only other option of buying the game? Also I always have a problem with joining the numbers together/disappearing them, I don't know why that is, but I have to drag my fingers over them about 2-3 times to make progress.

Fun...at first

This game is super fun for the first several levels. However, my problem is that you can't build on higher numbers for a long time and that gets a little boring. The second (and bigger, IMO) issue is that game play starts to speed up so fast that my swipes aren't registering, which makes me lose the round. That's really frustrating. Because this game was more of a speed challenge than a mental one, I deleted it.

Fermium PHOOEY!

This is a Perfect Example of why I intensely dislike the Freemium Model. It's a relatively fun game (if you can stomach the Skill/Luck ratio on a small allotment of Free Lives) but the constant Sales Pitch AND ads between each level really ruin the experience. Once you have "waited" long enough, the pop-up says that "you have received 10 lives," but the game shows only 5! Hey Ivanovich, just sell this simple game for $1 and I believe that everyone who bought and enjoyed it would come back and buy your other games. Disappointing.

More luck than skill

Nice clean graphics and good sound. It's a good game at the lower levels. At the upper levels... prepare to be aggravated and angered. The tiles come randomly, cutting off your moves. The board fills so fast that you have to rush to make a move, but oftentimes, the move doesn't register. When that happens a msg appears and blocks your view of the top of the board. Lastly, as soon as the last tile falls, it's game over.Even if you're in the middle of drawing your move. You'll have to spend coins for a few second breather before the tiles come so fast that it's easily game over again.

Addicting…Yes….but

Numtris, while a delightful (and rather addicting) game is still a game. There is nothing wrong with an app succeeding at being a game, however as a way to improve an individual’s number sense it is lacking. It can help older elementary graders get faster at addition mentally up to 6, and for younger elementary age children it can help linking numerals to a group of x objects. In essence this is an enjoyable game with a vague connection able to be made between it and developing number sense. As a suggestion for the developer perhaps for higher levels, or as an extension in the “Classic Numtris” section the numerals on the blocks could go up to 10, and the blocks could be a smaller size to fit more on the screen.

Addictive game BUT

It is a good addictive game but i just can't get past level 54. I might have played that level a zillion times and at times it suggests that I go to the forum for help but if you click on it, it just doesn't load or the forum doesn't exist. It suggests to use power-ups to get past such difficult levels but even after using power ups it doesn't work. So I guess my only option is to uninstall.

Fun game

The game is fun to play. I like the fact that you only have to wait 20 mins. per extra life whereas other similar games may have you waiting 24 hours at least before their lives are fully recharged. I also like the number concept however I wish there were more combinations of numbers utilized, I think this would make the game more of a challenge for older users.

Awesome!

So much fun! The one problem I have with it is that the numbers seem to fall randomly, which means every once in a while you get stuck unable to win a level while other times the level is almost too easy. For the most part though it's a delight! A great way to pass the time between things.

Good....BUT

The game is very addicting. Bought eternal lives because play goes so quickly. Here is the but.....there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the order in which the tiles fall. I cannot figure out an algorithm. It would be nice to know how to trigger numbers or at least have a one number lead time like in Tetris.

The best game I've ever seen even when I have such an old apple tablet

It's very logic. It also trains your brain and it's pretty hard after you pass level 20.i just hate it when I loose all my lives and I have to wait a while for a lot of lives because I didn't pay the infinite lives so I get angry when I'm finally engaged into the game so i just will give it 4 and a half stars for the rating section of this review but I still like it though.

Description

Numtris starts off from a similar concept as the Letris where the pieces start to fall and you have to complete each level’s objective before the board fills up; to do this you have two simple rules: RULE 1: To eliminate a number you have to join as many pieces as indicated in the number. For example: To eliminate number 2 you need to join 2 numbers 2. To eliminate number 3 you need to join 3 numbers 3.

RULE 2: If you join various numbers and do not comply with rule 1 they will be added up. For example: If you join a number 1 and a 2: A number 3 will be generated. If you join a number 1, a 2 and another 1: A number 4 will be generated. Starting to play is very simple. Stopping is not so easy as your brain exercises more and more as you complete the almost 300 challenges proposed by the game, being a very good amusing challenge. CHARACTERISTICS: - Unique, simple and addictive playability. - Almost 300 free levels. - Weekly tournaments with prizes. - Split screen for iPad. - Synchronisation by iCloud or Facebook. - Retina graphics for iPhone and iPad. - Integration with Game Center. - Universal and free.
