Faith

This online bible has been a big help because I’ve been questioning my faith or my lack of after seeing a friend of mine who was a pastor out in Tucson Arizona who was dying of cancer document his journey and experience and his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and how he was in total piece with everything! It was as if he was traveling to Europe and he was excited to be beginning a new chapter in his life. Jim and I haven’t been friends since H.S., he was my age which is in my mid 50’s. We reconnected last fall when I was in the hospital for a life saving surgery on my right leg and during that time while I was in the hospital I was looking for old friendships on FB and Jim and I connected! Now more than ever I’m aware of my lack of faith and I find this Bible a big help! Thanks!

King James Version of the Bible is the Best.

In my opinion King James Bible is the best. I am 68 years old. I have read King James Version of the Bible since I was a child . I love it.I am 70 years old. King James is my favorite version of the Bible. I have been reading it since a child. Even at Church or on Television when a Minster use a different version . I refer to KJV, Our Church Sunday School Books are King James Version parallel to another version. I read the KJV. I have read through the Holy Bible , 8 times only King James Version. Also God has given me a special gift to remember some of King James Version, Scriptures. May God bless your organization for publishing it.

Thank King James AV1611 for the Bible

Blessings can come through the Lord, even when your down and at the lowest point in life pretty much rock bottom in a sense and just when you think there is no hope or no way up or out. That’s when the goodness of our God steps in arms open wide and to reach down from the heavens above with greatness and love and his mercy is ever so powerful and kind. Jesus Christ gave his life for the world so that you and I could live a sin free life. I know God loves me even when I don’t think he does and just when you think he isn’t listening that’s when your prayers can get answered, dreams can come true, all help comes from the lord. And rest assure that our Savior Jesus Christ is coming back to this earth to gather all his children and who are saved and soon that great white throne judgement day will be upon us and if you are not saved or your heart is not right with the Lord Jesus Christ. All I can say is believe and wait and see. God Bless and God loves you!

Faithful Work

If you want a bible at your fingertips to grace your phone screen among all the other busy icons looking flashy and tempting to just touch and enter into their labyrinth of effects and time suction...get this. Tap it instead and enter a peaceful environment with slight elegant additions that speak of reverence and love for God. Easy to use and access what you want to read on the go or make it a study to return to when it is silent and peaceful. Thank you for developing this and offering it for us!

Needs some work

It’s okay but it definitely needs some work. When I’m listening to the audio version, the audio constantly cuts out. The text will keep moving but there will be no audio. I usually have to restart it for it to work again. Yesterday, it stopped working during all four chapters I listened to. Also, the options for audio voices are terrible. They all sound robotic and they pronounce things weird. Let’s get a real person on there! I like the concept, but I may need to look for a different app.

Enjoying this app

Dear Future User,I downloaded this app about 4 months ago & I am really enjoying its features like highlighting verses & underline to name a few. I was using King James Online. The only draw back is that if you are not connected to WiFi then there was no access. This app is like an actually paperback Bible because you flip pages. There were a few draw backs, like going back to the table of contents to get to a another book. All in all, I like having access anytime and I am using the free version. Sincerely, Dee

The Bible is my hope

I have always had the time to read the Bible but because I was “walking the earth” I chose to go farther away to see what I can explore but as my journey of life went up & down, I find myself that God wouldn’t let me go through life without him. I kept on coming back to the Bible for his knowledge and to learn. I find myself a quiet place and read and just want so bad to be there in Jesus’s time. To walk and talk to him might of been such a amazing tell all. I will never be as great as Jesus but I will follow his word to the end of my life time. My name is Oi-Wah and in English it means Love Glory.

Wonderful apps!

I really enjoy this KJV Bible app and all of the Bible apps by this app builder that I have tried. I enjoy being able to just ‘flip’ the page to the next chapter, as well as the functional controls and offline use that they have, plus, the apps controls being pretty uniform from one to the next is nice as it makes it easier to learn to use them more efficiently. I really have no complaints about any of the several different bible versions I have downloaded from this app builder except that they are all suddenly freezing whenever I try to use them and, hopefully, it’s just a glitch in the programming that will be corrected quickly, otherwise, they are about perfect, for me and my preferences in operation...

Great app!

This is an excellent app from what I have seen so far! The daily verses and everything are great! And the ability to highlight verses and then find them all together in one place is a major plus! Is there any way you could add the ability to set up the daily verse to appear in the widgets though? It would be amazing to be able to read the verse straight from the widgets without having to open up the app if you are in a hurry or something!

First printed by the King's Printer Robert Barker, this was the third translation into English to be approved by the English Church authorities. The first was the Great Bible commissioned in the reign of King Henry VIII, and the second was the Bishops' Bible of 1568. In January 1604, King James I convened the Hampton Court Conference where a new English version was conceived in response to the perceived problems of the earlier translations as detected by the Puritans, a faction within the Church of England. James gave the translators instructions intended to guarantee that the new version would conform to the ecclesiology and reflect the episcopal structure of the Church of England and its belief in an ordained clergy. The translation was done by 47 scholars, all of whom were members of the Church of England. In common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was translated from Greek, the Old Testament was translated from Hebrew text, while the Apocrypha were translated from the Greek and Latin. In the Book of Common Prayer (1662), the text of the Authorized Version replaced the text of the Great Bible – for Epistle and Gospel readings – and as such was authorized by Act of Parliament. By the first half of the 18th century, the Authorized Version was effectively unchallenged as the English translation used in Anglican and Protestant churches. Over the course of the 18th century, the Authorized Version supplanted the Latin Vulgate as the standard version of scripture for English speaking scholars. Today, the most used edition of the King James Bible, and often identified as plainly the King James Version, especially in the United States, closely follows the standard text of 1769, edited by Benjamin Blayney at Oxford.
