Lighting Issues

Overall the avatar quality is good but the main issue is the lighting. I have a very well lit family room I do the scans in and it shows the good lighting at first but then dims the camera instantly and says poor lighting. Its dimming the camera itself. I haven’t tried it outside during the daytime yet but overall indoors is a pretty poor experience.

Deceptive

When you buy a one month subscription for $20, that’s not what you get. You get 5 scans and that’s it. After spending $20 for a month of use, my son used up all 5 scans in about an hour.

Needs more games

Hi, I love the app but it could use more game/software options, maybe like Garry’s Mod and Source Filmmaker.

Not worth a subscription

You get two free scans, which is fair. You should be able to use your first to kind of learn how it works and get a feel for it, and your second as your actual avatar. What isn’t fair however, is that it’s 20$ a month for FIVE scans. It shouldn’t even be a subscription, let alone a limited number or a price over ten, especially considering it costs 10$ to export it to a game, even with pro. The avatars themselves don’t even generate right if you don’t have pro, even if you follow the directions to a tee. It says it takes two minutes to upload, but in reality it takes around ten. God forbid you wear baggy clothing, because it will render the rest of you as obese. Such a shame, as I would spend a one time fee of 10-15$ on a permanent pro membership in a HEARTBEAT. Devs, you’re so close, please listen.

Super upsetting

I’ve had this app for over a year, I put it in the back burner for a while to try out similar apps. Coming back I’ve realized you don’t get unlimited scans anymore. Plus they’ve cut many features. At one point it was worth the money, I have an old rigged model of myself thanks to the original version of the app. Devs scale back to the original settings of the app.

Love how it captures the scans, but…

The subscription seems too expensive, I understand how much it needs to process things quickly and everything. But at least add a trial so we can experience and experiment the app for a week or few days. So we can value the app and its features and see how worth is paying for a subscription.

Frustrating experience

The in app tutorials are obtrusive. Please give an option to turn these off after the first scan. The low light warning pops up when I get close to the camera and goes away when I’m back in position for a scan. The problem is I can’t start the scan because I have to walk up to the phone to press start but this blocks the light.

Expensive as balls

Really cool but costs so much for more scans. When I wanted to make a 3rd one, it said “buy more” so I deleted my one with the funny face expecting it to give me another scan, but no. You can only make 2, and if you delete one you lose it forever, unless you buy it for 20$ a month, or $180 a year! Really cool and I love the animations, but please add more than 2 games and add more movies. Fun but super duper overpriced…
