Awesome app but one thing....(Devs Plz read)

Google Classroom is one of the best school apps I have used. It is easy to navigate, and its very interactive. I had never had a problem with it in my life until now. During COVID-19 almost all of us have had our work done on Classroom. I don’t know if this affects anything but let me say this, to turn in work is a huge problem. I have never realized this before but since all of my work is now on Classroom, it has been nearly impossible to keep track of what has been turned in or not. I’ve tried using the Calendar feature in Classroom to keep track but sometimes the work doesn’t show up on there. What happens to me is that I do the work, then I move on to different work and end up not turning the first work in. This usually happens when there is no work attached to the turn in button but instead to the actual assignment. I finish it, but then forget to press “Mark as Done”. Even then, sometimes when I know I have turned it in, it DOESN’T TURN IN. In the end I still do think this app is awesome. Besides from the above complaint it is very easy to do things like organize work or talk with your peers( stream ). But developers, please please add a a feature where it makes it easier to know if you still have to turn something in. I think it would greatly help everyone using your app.

MrBeast

I downloaded this app one lovely day to find out that it was controlled by secret spies. Not just any secret spies, but Hillary and Bill Clinton themselves. Suddenly, at my door they stood— knives in hand. I dipped my huge mansion home (Because I am Mrbeast) And I hid in a trash can. I opened up my phone to see google classroom once again on my screen. I screamed as my phone light revealed the two of them by both of my sides. I activated my emergency jet pack and then fell from the air because it was malfunctioning. I woke up in a dark hospital room chained to a big white bed. This is all because of Google Classroom. Never using this again. Luckily I am mrbeast so I killed the both of them and ate their body parts. May I mention that i also was influenced by this devilish app to eat and grill my own penis. This is not okay. Google Classroom is NOT safe. Stay safe, kids. Be like Mr Beast. Because I AM Mr breast.

please student archive permissions or…

ok i hate the large scroll of classrooms on my screen, as a student, after one school year and adding on more for the next because I don’t want to unenroll in the chance that I may need references or materials from classes i’ve taken before and would help this year.OK I know it’s the teachers permission but I fr can’t go back to the teachers i’ve had just to tell them to archive. could there be something where students could also archive from their end only (that may be weird) or classes could automatically archive after a month or two if a setting like that is toggled. (please make that toggle automatically on if so🙏🙏)

A student’s perspective

Google classroom as a website is useable but can be very frustrating to navigate and find assignments that are missing with no “missing work” folder or anything like that. The app takes all your frustration from the website and doubles it. All the flaws from the website remain while adding many on top of it. If you want to do any work on mobile devices to bad, the navigation on this app is terrible not helped by the impossible input lag and extremely long load times to even just view and assignment let alone do one. What makes this even worse is the team that made this has barely touched it sense it came out, this app has been unusable for years and continues to get worse as the hardware in my phone slows down. As a 14 year old I can’t afford to buy a new phone every few years and am currently using an iPhone 8 which is about a year old right now. From day one of me getting this app it has been nothing more but reminder to do school. What makes this even worse is the fact I do online school, I’m fortunate enough to have a personal computer that’s able to do what I need it to without much struggle but if a student had to learn from a mobile device with this app they would have extreme lag problems. Even testing this app on an iPad (6th gen) I was extremely laggy to the point I would be spending 5 minutes to even load into one class. This app is a disaster and needs to be fixed ASAP

The google classroom curse…

It was a dark, stormy evening when I downloaded this forsaken app. I had no idea of the misery and treachery it would bring me. I opened up my laptop, to download the app. I felt a weird sensation hovering around me, as like the air was telling me this app was bad news. I clicked into the App Store, the mystical , magical, mysterious blue thing. The search bar was calling to me…. I typed in the words “Google Cl-“ before it popped up. I entered the final stretch. I didn’t check the review’s although they might have saved me if I did. Finally, I clicked the download app and waited for it to install. 10 %. 20 %. 50%. And just like that, the awful green app was on my Home Screen. I felt a gust of wind flow into my room, even though all of the windows were closed… I then shut down my laptop, and laid down in my bed. I then awaited for sleep to come. It never did.

It’s glitching a lot

When I first downloaded the app everything was working fine and I had no problems. I was receiving assignments from my teachers like normal, I was getting them graded, and I was able to ask questions by messaging or in-class comments. Lately, I’ve been having some major issues. The app won’t let me check my grades with glitching me out, I don’t get notifications even when I have it on, and my assignments are always going missing. I don’t know if it’s a new update but whatever it is it needs to get fixed ASAP. I personal have nothing against school and I love working from home but not with an app glitching 24/7. There are also many other reviews about this. So it’s clear that this app has many problems, the developers don’t really seem to care about this problem. I’ve seen 100+ people share about this happening to them and all of them agree that students and teachers shouldn’t use this app until the bugs are fixed. School is already stressful, and having to use a glitching app all the time makes it more stressful for students. For people saying that we’re lazy and don’t want to do work, it’s hard to use a app that glitches you out 24/7. How would you be able to do assignments if there missing? The app setup is good, but the way it carries it out is horrible. Students and teachers should use an app that is easy and enjoyable for everyone not a few! I wouldn’t recommend downloading unless you like an app that glitches every second.

Google Classroom App for Apple MacBook

I truly DO NOT understand why there isn’t a Google Classroom app for Apple MacBook. I’d think that most people would be able to do more with the app if you could use it on a MacBook versus an iPhone and/or iPad. I have many iPhones & 5 iPads, but only one MacBook that only I use. I’d have more privacy if I could use my MacBook versus my iPhone or iPad. Come on it’s 2023, let’s move Google Classroom up into the world. Ever since Covid hit & my school learned about remote learning, these lazy people (admin) still uses remote learning as a crutch to be able to have off a day but still have that day counted as a school day by dumping their work onto unlicensed and some uneducated parents. Then you hear ppl say, “I’m so worried for our future.” Well if these teachers don’t buck up & take back their classrooms I don’t know why anyone would expect anything else. Look, when these kids are being placed into their parents’ hands (this isn’t for all parents, but I’m also not oblivious to who these kids parents’ are - I know bc I went to school with these people), then we can only expect to them to behave in a way in which they are aware they’re being shuffled around just to appease school administrators who want to work less, but keep asking for more.

Constipation

It was a stormy friday night ⛈️⛈️, I was exhausted from a week at school, now relaxing and eating peanut butter 🥜🥜straight out of the jar with my bare hands whilst sitting on my bed. I was live-streaming on TikTok “mm flowers💐, smells so good!” I say, rudely inturrupted by a notification on my crusty Cheeto dust IPad😡😡. The vibration from the notification made my little tummy start to rumble! The rumbling was louder than the booming thunder outside😥😓. My livestream watchers blew up my chat with roses🌹🌹🌹, and the dogs started barking across the street💥🐕, alerted my my rumbly tummy 😱😱 I clicked on my notification, it being one from my favorite extracurricular in school: TikTok AI live AP intro course. As I read the notification, the got louder, and louder, until… KABOOM 💥 After the explosion I felt much better😇😊, finally relieved from the weight I’d been carrying for so long. That was, until it returned next Friday night, but… that’s a story for another review!😳😳😳😳 Thanks a lot google classroom 🙄🙄🙄

Good app, but what's with all the negative reviews for?

So since the coronavirus we have been doing online learning. I've been using Classroom for school and post secondary program that I do. It's pretty efficient and let you turn in assignments, gives notifications when a teacher posts and assignment, and everything else it's supposed to do. And for those of you who are complaining about too many notifications, that's all on your teacher not the app. Of course there are problems that do occur, but that's because so many people are using the Internet during the pandemic. Besides, if classroom went away, then schools and organizations would have to search for a different way of doing it, which may be hard than you already know. I use voiceover which is a screen reading software for blind and visually impaired people. The navigation with voiceover is pretty good on the app in my opinion. I also like how it uses Google calendar so you can be reminded about assignments. So for those of you who make fake negative reviews, stop it! It won't help you or anybody else, in fact it will only make it worse. You do realize that we also have the online version of Classroom right? Of course not all apps can be perfect, but this is crazy how people are just spamming it was one star reviews.

Good but the updates are inconsistent and make the app hard to use.

I use Google classroom as that is what my school uses. However I have ran into so many issues that the app has just become plain annoying. For example my math teacher requires us to scan our work and turn it in via Google classroom. At first we were told to use an app called GeniusScan however the app wouldn’t let me upload files from my iCloud drive so I used the built-in scanner instead. This worked fine until the newest update. In this update they took away the built-in scanner and now I have to go back to using Genius Scan. I do not have an issue with GeniusScan but I find it annoying that I have to switch what I am using all the time. Another issue that I have is the menus. This is my opinion however, I find the menus a little bit annoying and hard to use in some aspects. For example when you go to add an attachment to an assignment the menus are a bit confusing. What I want is consistent updates that I keep old features and add new useful features improve the app experience. I want to keep all features as they are what we are used to but I also want new features which maybe will improve the way we hand in work. My hope is that Google will see this review and improve their app based on customer feedback. These solutions could be fixed. It would take a while, but they could be fixed. And that is why I am writing this review. Thank you.
