User Reviews for Archaeologist: Jurassic Games

Son loves it but I have a question

My 3 year old is obsessed with dinos and was thrilled I bought him the full version of this. However I just had to factory reset and renown load all of our apps. It says on the download page that I purchased the full version but I can’t figure out how to unlock everything in the actual game or restore my purchase. Any help would be really great.

Archaeologists study humans, paleontologists study dinosaurs

Archaeologists study humans, not dinosaurs. Advocating excavation is irresponsible. There are local, state, and federal cultural resource laws to protect our archaeological/cultural resource heritage. Also, there are times when excavation is unnecessary. Archaeological resources are finite. Once displaced, they are gone. If “excavated” by an individual or group of individuals who are not trained archaeologists or being taught/supervised by a trained archaeologist, you end up with lost context, irresponsible curation, and an illegal artifact trade. You are not promoting archaeology but treasure hunting. And again...if you want a dinosaur based game, you are looking for paleontology.

Great app!

Very cute and easy to navigate, my son is three and a half and can’t get enough of this game. It took a few tries for him to understand you have to tap the pick but other than that he caught on all by himself. He really loves being read the little information tabs after he completes his puzzle.

Excellent Dino Fun and Learning!!!

I love that you have to dig the Dino bones in the archaeological life before doing the bones puzzle!!! Then you can learn about the Dino and see a 3D image of it. Too cool! Then you can put a puzzle together and color the same Dino in the other section and you get feed Dino’s once they are put together…10/10 app guys!!! Excellent!

Fun But Forces Ratings

My LO seems to enjoy the game so far but after a couple digs, it forced a rating in order to play with a certain animal and we couldn't get anything else to work without it. I'm not a fan of forced ratings, especially when we haven't been able to explore the game enough to truly give our opinion. Best I can tell at this point is that it's a fun little game for kids that like dinos and I'm hoping there's a little more to it as we "dig" deeper.

Puzzle pieces block view

I don’t like being co-opted into giving a review to unlock a puzzle for my child. That being said the puzzle pieces are very large on the screen which can be confusing for kiddo. I don’t know if decreasing their opacity a bit until they lock in place would help or decrease the scale a bit so you’re not trying to find where a puzzle piece goes while there are other pieces on the spot. Otherwise it is very cute and kiddo enjoys the puzzles very much.

Great game but needs fixing

My son LOVES this game, especially the 3D Dino part. That’s what he looks forward to the most after putting the puzzles together, but works when it wants. Sometimes it just won’t work no matter how many times we refresh the app or exit the game. At first we thought it could be our lighting, our angle, the floor or our camera but it happens on both on our iPad and phone. If that could be fixed then the game would be a 5 star hands down.

3 yr old excited to see 3D dinosaurs through camera

We only have the free version of the app, so have not seen the whole game. (It forced us to rate the game.) We have put the bones together of a few dinosaurs and looked for them through the camera. Finding the 3D dinosaurs is so delightful for my 3-year old, niece. She squeals with delight when the dinosaur roars. (I wish they all would roar.)Update: bought the full game. There is not much to it. She has another Dino game that is much better, BUT she really wants to find the 3D T- Rex, and for that, I paid $3.

“All my assistants started by playing this awesome game” Indiana J. “This tapping game is great! Digging has never been this fun!” Dyno Daily Times + Have fun digging and exploring the lost world of dinosaurs Children will all enjoy the various game modes. The most appealing of all is definitely digging.

Like a true explorer, look for all the bones hidden underground to build the dinosaur skeleton. The children who tried it could not stop digging. They will learn about dinosaurs with puzzles and sound effects and can color the characters using a magic brush. Little ones play and learn the names of dinosaurs, their size and their habits. Each dinosaur comes with an illustrative fact sheet. Dinosaurs now have no secrets! The game graphics are carefully designed and full of color. Animations were created for the youngest players and the game is packed with information on dinosaurs. Plenty of fun for your children and yourself. * Dig for all the dinosaur fossils * Assembles the dinosaur skeleton with the bones you have found * Play and learn with puzzles, animations and sound effects * Color all the dinosaurs with a magic brush for Toddlers * Read about all the dinosaurs in the game Try it now, your children will have plenty of fun. * NOTE on title “Archaeologist”: we would like to point out that the science that studies dinosaurs is Paleontology. However, the protagonists of the saga of the archaeologist will not take care only of dinosaurs. Joe is an explorer, he likes to dig, find hidden objects; his wife, Bonnie, is a paleontologist and soon, there will be other characters and new adventures, looking for other mysterious objects. --- MAGISTERAPP Who are we? --- We produce games for our kids, and it is our passion.
