Favorite game

Love this game, I had it buy it ad free. Two options I'd love to see. The ability to view it in portrait mode on my iPad like I can on my phone. I hate using landscape mode. I would also like the option to turn off the use of 3 letter words for a better challenge. Great game otherwise.

I have played different versions of word shaker. They need to take the best features and make one really good one. I play for myself. Three letter words are a nuisance. The version that is red has a minimum word option. However, the red version does not have a shake button. Try shaking a 10" iPad. The red version also shows the rank of your score to previous ones. The blue version should too. Also, DOH get's to be very tiresome. Attempts at Humor rarely work when repeated over and over. By the way, you don't build vocabulary if you don't know what the words mean.

Tourney has issues

I love playing the tourney but I have noticed recently that there are people winning top score and top word with letters that are not in my board. For example, I just played 3 minute 4x4 game and the top two people had three times my score, with words like “questioned” and “quantities.” I had no Q in my letters - plus, being able to come up with both of those words in a 4x4? I don’t think so! How is it a competition if we are working off different sets of letters?I contacted the game admins and was told that maybe those other people have not updated their game. That makes no sense. Mine updates automatically and the last update was three months ago. Keep it fair, or stop pretending it is a competition. With different letters, the scores can’t be compared.

Entertaining & educational

After giving this 5 stars, I have to complain about a couple of things. First, a sound effect for words 100 points and over appeared suddenly, then disappeared just as quickly. No explanation from the provider. Then the game was keeping track of consecutive days played, which I had around 300 or better. Now, that has gone into the black hole of app fails. Since I get nothing for the consecutive game days, why complain. It made it more fun, but I’ll just do something more constructive that this from now on. Too bad…those features made the game more interesting, and now it has lost much of its appeal

Multiplayer Stopped Working

My fiancé and I love word games. First used the “lite” version of this... until Multiplayer stopped working. Then bought the real thing and multiplayer worked for a while then stopped. It connects and everything... but the game just won’t quite start. Highly infuriating. Other than that - this is great fun!

App gets stuck

Too often the games won’t load, they just say loading, forever, like days. This is the biggest issue with this paid game. I’m on day 3 of not being able to play since it’s stuck again. Email to developer is till being ignored.

Okay but change letters when update game

I have been playing this game for years. You developers need to change up the letter boards. I’m so used to the games that I have had to play the same games over and over. It’s about time you came out with not a new game, but one where the letters are different! All you would have to do is change a few letters for each of the different games to make the whole game brand new. I get tired of playing with the same letters over and over, so that the games start to bore me. For those of us who play often, you can tell when you’ve played the game before. You have a great game, you just need to update the letters on various games to refresh it!!!

Issues

I continue to have problems with this app! While trying to form words the definitions keep popping up and interfering so that you are unable to form your words. I’ve had this app for years and have never had this problem before. I’ve reported it to customer service several times with absolutely no response or reply. Sorry to see this going downhill!

My heart

This is again and again it calms my mind it gives some breathing room to think Thank you for my awesome gameThis game has seen me through some very rough times in my life it aided me and having some quiet time and for my mind to focus on something that would relax me my husband was sick for a very long time and through the nights this was my game it has five stars every time

Excellent for solo play

When you're only interested in passing the time without a flood of intrusive ads or paying a monthly fee just for offline play, it's difficult to find an app like this one that has a one time fee to get rid of the ads.
