Liked it when it worked but now broken

I enjoyed it and how simple and all it is till the 1.7.0 version came out and even after an uninstall/reinstall it just crashes at boot. Now that off my chest I kinda wish the presets carried over from whatever device you use to control the lights and had some more stencils for the light locations like a car or such dice they only had pickups or a jeep. I wish when the color is set to yellow you could see it highlighted since the highlight ring is white and can't been seen with the yellow color for the led light. The strobe could be better maybe customizable the strobe pattern/color. The lights spot could be a better focused pattern and the flood could be improved but what to expect for the really lost price it's still a good value thou hence why I've got a couple of them and will get more for my other rigs. I do wish it kinda had a standalone controller along with the Bluetooth access but I could just do with the Bluetooth with just a stand alone dedicated a tablet or phone which I've got a few laying around so not to big of a deal for me.

Could DEFIANTLY use some improvements. The speed “slide” is backwards. So what you would think is slower, is actually faster and vice versa. It would be nice if you could select multiple colors on strobe. Last thing, a for sure off button so I’m not driving down the road impersonating a cop and not even knowing it. I can turn it off and know that it’s off. Besides all those requests, it does work and does have some nice features. But let’s face it, if your looking at this app it’s probably because you’ve already bought the light kit.

Surprised 2

Firmware needs to be updated with breathing, auto color change and so on.Gotta say that type s has really stepped up their game. I was surprised at how bright and clear the off road lights are. I just bought them a couple of days ago and last night was the first time I had the opportunity to use them at night. I think for my situation the only thing to make them better for me is custom brackets. Other than that they work perfectly. ❤️Only question is why don’t they have headlight kit that act as an expansion for this kit too. I really want my low beams to be app controlled too.😢 I really don’t want to buy them from a different company and have two separate apps, just makes it more complicated 😞Thanks you guys for such an amazing product 💯❤️

Lights Turn On On Their Own

Not sure why but I’ll go outside and see my light bar has been on. Haven’t even opened the app in weeks and the lights will be on. Gonna have to pull the fuse so it doesn’t drain my battery overnight if I don’t notice theyre on. I have a cover on the light bar so it’s really hard to tell when the lights are unintentionally on. Otherwise I really enjoy it. I do wish I could change the preset truck icon to a photo of my car without having to go out and take the photo live. Wish it could just access my camera roll.

Shuts off after 10 seconds

Went through the trouble of checking the lights first, then installed them in my show car, having to run wires very carefully so they didn’t show . Get them all installed and the lights turn on only for about 10 seconds, then they shut off. The master says it is still on but the lights aren’t. Tried everything I could, including uninstalling the app and reinstalling. Still the same. Would like to hear from someone, anyone in their company to try to get this resolved.

Very nice app

The app works great haven’t had any issues so far with it. One suggestion to the creators is and it’s a long shot but see what I’d take to make the app Apple CarPlay compatible. It would be very nice if there was a way do change the colors and setting from my head unit in my truck rather than pulling my phone out to do it. Just a suggestion don’t know if it’s even possible but that would be an awesome feature.

This could be so much better!

I was excited seeing a new update today but as the case with most things these days, they didn’t address the actual issues. The color wheel shades are still way off and the UI (which was listed in the update) hasn’t changed. It’s still confusing and clunky. For what these lights cost and their cocky advertising you would think they would have a better app. Figures they’re just another company that reels you in to make money then drop you.

Too slow but works.

I really like the Type S Off-Road Light Bar, but hate the Bluetooth capabilities. It takes a while for it to connect on my Iphone 11 Pro Max S/V 14.6. Because it was too dark i turned it on via bluetooth. Few minutes later, oncoming car approaches, i grab my phone to unlock it and turn off the Light Bar, but by the time i actually get into the app, oncoming car has passed by me with a blinding face. If theres an update to where it defaults to have it turned ON when power is applied via a relay/switch and then only use the actual app to mess with the RGB colors and settings, i would give 5 stars. PLEASE UPDATE

Great, but could use improvements to UI

The product it self is great, works as expected. But that being said, it would be nice if you could change a few settings for the Music mode, especially sensitivity, for when I play on a loud volume, it picks up everything and it doesn't have too much of an effect. And the UI itself could use a cleaner look, the quality is a little low in app but as stated works as expected

Update ruined my whole setup

Ever since the last update that changed the game way the app looked none of my lights function properly, they’re literally not even worth using at this point, it’s that bad. Speed adjustment doesn’t work right, it almost doesn’t even work at all, when adjusted all the way up the lights appear to be steady burn then flash once every like 1 minute or so but when adjust at 1/4 of full speed they are kinda fast but not like before and I haven’t been able to find anything wrong with my lights, vehicle or phone and this is phone #2 that this problem among the page long list of other issues I’m experiencing that this has persisted with. And I’m now considering the hundreds of dollars I’ve spend on Type S lights to be a loss. To other people who are on the fence about buying some, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! You guys really need to fix this crappy app you have or provide your customers with an update or some kind of solution to this problem because I’ve spent well over $600 on these products only for them to randomly be rendered useless.
