Easy set up
Super easy to set opt-outs and select or not select interests. Have not had long enough to see if it influences ads targeted to me.
Two years since update. Only covers 20 companies
This is a pathetic excuse for an opt out app. I tried it because the website was horrible. Most of the sites require that you visit them personally, individually one by one, and read through a complicated opt-out process that often doesn’t work and usually you can’t even find the instructions. This app does not make that any easier. It is clear that there is no oversight being offered to ad companies to force them to be compliant with consumer privacy regulations.

Doesn't do anything
This app doesn't really do anything. All that it does it takes you to an online opt out page in Safari. It relies on cookies, which means the only way to keep your opt outs is to keep all of your cookies, which is not very private. This defeats the purpose.
Ok but TRUSTe could do better
Appreciate the opt-out app but too many of the ad networks (the majority of them participating in this app) make it difficult to opt out. The ones that require manual opt outs are difficult to use in many cases. In some I couldn't find the opt out even after clicking through one by one. Not sure why TRUSTe allows this -- how is that "trust"?
Finally, more choices around ads
Happy to see opt-out choices for those that don’t like ad tracking, but also like the fact that I can filter ads. in some cases, I just don’t want to see continuous ads for products I will never buy, but wouldn’t mind ads for something I am interested in (assuming I have to see ads in some way shape or form). Look forward to future versions and more features….

No more junk ads! I’m a gear-head so I like car ads. Now I can select that area and get ads I want.
Doesn't work
I just downloaded the TRUSTe app on my iPad mini and the IOS is current. When I clicked on the Icon, the TRUSTe app screen displayed and that was all. I tried touching the screen in several places and eventually the TRUSTE screen just disappeared. I sure am glad to did not pay for this. Another strange thing. When I clicked on support is seems that TRUSTe is now TrustArc. I'm disappointed this app doesn't work because it has some features I've been looking for.
Description
The TRUSTe privacy app allows you: - To notify advertisers that you want to opt-out of behaviorally targeted ads on your mobile device (apps & browser). - To share data in a safe manner about the types of ads you want to see directly with advertisers. With our app If you elect to opt-out of targeted ads (no cookies), you will continue to see ads, but advertisers will no longer target you based on your mobile web and app usage. If you continue to receive targeted ads, you can let the advertiser know what type of ads you do and do not want to see.
