I just got my first order and have other pre-orders I am waiting to come in to stock. I really like how everything is packaged and little clear file that has my order information in is a nice touch. The figure I just received is probably one of my favorites as well and it came in with no damage. The one thing I always get scared of is that shipping might damage the item but they carefully packaged it. I look forward to making more orders with them. I also recommend Tom point system if you buy a lot of figures as I do. If you don’t then it might not be worth it.

Don’t expect items to deliver on time

The app itself is fine. The problem is, there have been delays after delays for nearly two years. I ordered an item that ended up costing me $87 back in the very beginning of August. I haven’t received any confirmation about it being on its way. Everytime I do try to reach out in regards to my item, only customer service I get is “items from our warehouse are delayed”. What was originally supposed to be a week delivery time has turned into two months with no sign of my package being delivered. No refunds, no apologies or anything. Not even a discount to make up for being a loyal customer. Don’t order from here. Might as well go to literally any other shop than this place.

Best place to buy.

This is the best place you can go to to get real figures at a good price. They have about everything Japanese in it as well. The variety spans from figures to plushies all the way to kitchen goods. Tokyo Otaku mode also offers good free shipping deals, other customers reviews, and great descriptions on what you are buying. The shipping is very secure where your item won’t get damaged.

Great App for anime shopping

I love using this app to look up and buy anime merchandise. It’s sometimes addicting that I look up merchandise even though I know I won’t them 😅. You can add things to wishlist, there’s rankings, and many deals/giveaways all the time. There’s also a premium version that gives you many bonuses and I think it’s really worth it. Again, it’s an amazing app to look up and buy anime merchandise and I highly recommended👍❤️

Otaku mode

I found this app easy to use. I don't know why there are so few reviews on here. Sure there is room for improvement. I use this daily to check what new figures are available on the website and add things to my Wishlist. It's also easy to check on your profile account. If you do buy figures though, the shipping can almost kill you :/ although most recently they have been offering coupons and other opportunities for deals so that makes me real happy :)

Great Place to hop for Plushies!

I’ve been ordering plushies here for quite a while a I love the custom support! They always reply and very polite. Recently I got a plush in October 2nd and I didn’t notice the defects on the eyes. The policy says you only have 7 days to replace it. But it’s been 7 days. I’m really upset they can’t replace my item. I’m gonna try to convince them, but that’s the flaw of it all. I barely touched the plush, never handled it hard, and I never dropped it. I recommend this app, but the shipping is just way too high. They have gave me Points for the damages and such. But this particular time they haven’t. Also, I’ve been waiting for an item that shipped last month, but it’s not at the usps facility where they ship it out. They told me it’s gonna take until November 28. That’s just way too long. I got my items in like 1-2 weeks. This is terrible. From the last plush I was talking about ale in a box with a big hole on the side! I recommend this app. But shipping is too much and too long.

Tokyo Otaku Mode App Review

This app is an excellent version of the online website. You can easily search for whatever you want and manage your account, orders, etc. Being used to the website, it was easy to understand the way it was setup. I only have to issues with the app. The first is that it will not show me items that are out of stock when I search. You can do this on the website, but not the app. Secondly, it only shows what I have wishlisted if it is in the default wishlist. This means that I can’t see anything in custom wishlists. They aren’t major issues, but can be slightly annoying. Overall, I really like the app. It can be really nice to just open the app instead of having to open my browser and type in their website.

Notes

I’ve been using the app for about 3 years now, and it’s very user friendly and helps with my shopping for anime and manga related items. However, the shipping methods are very expensive even the “cost effective” ones. Another thing that bothers me is the wishlist may hide products for unknown reasons. I also noticed that when I try to refresh the notifications page, the app keeps crashing.

Extremely Good App

I shop regularly from Otaku Mode and this app helps a ton. Easy to navigate, great service, fast shipping and an amazing amount of products. My only criticism is the shipping can be expensive unless you buy a lot at one time, stock often runs out very quickly and the wishlist feature doesn't seem to be working fully. There's a limit to what items you can see on your wishlist and will not load the next section, only being able to view your most recent products you added to the wishlist. Please fix that.

Love The App, Have Some Wishes

I love the app overall, that favorites weren’t integrated very well from my experience is easily fixable I would imagine. My issue is that I can only pull up my first favorites list, but I have a ton! If we could just be able to manage our favorites in a similar fashion as seen on the website, I’d be very pleased. All things considered, it’s a minor gripe (which is why I chose not to dock any stars) but I’d like to see that fixed in the future. Other than that, love the interface! Keep it up TOM and I’ll keep shopping!
