Love it

I really like this app, I make some news videos and love having the script right in front of me so i look focused and trained on the camera. I also love the green screen effect it seems like the best green screen app that I could find and works very well. I also have a couple of complaints tho1. Even though it says that the app is free there is still a subscription. And they just bug you about it like do you want this? do you want this? do you want this? I wish that there was a way that you could say no, I don’t stop asking me.2.If you are writing a script and leave the app to look at something else it completely closes on you and you have to restart your whole thing because it just deleted all of it. I suggest that you write your script separately and then Copy and paste it. This way you don’t lose all of your progress

Absolutely Amazing.......but

This is the app you want for a Teleprompter!But I really really really really hope that they fix the refreshing problem that occurs when you have to go out of a mobile device back into the app. It is just way too easy to lose a script that you were working on if you just so happen to check another app briefly. The entire app will just start all over from scratch. To their credit THERE IS a save button but if you are a creative person and you start brainstorming a new script and you inadvertently go out of the app for just a second, all of your magic is instantly gone . This is my second time sensitive project that has been pushed back because of a screen time out or checking relevant information to bring back into BIGVU

Functionality is great until your audio stops halfway through...

I love the functionality of this app and how easy it is to navigate. However, there are some MAJOR issues that I’ve outlined below:1. The audio will randomly cut off halfway through filming. I use a wireless mic that has a receiver which connects to the iPhone via lightning port. No other teleprompter app has this issue with my equipment. 2. There was even a couple of times where the audio worked fine but then the video was nothing but a black screen...it seemed like most of the takes I did had either an audio issue or a video issue3. The auto lock exposure functionality doesn’t work well at all. The exposure was all over the place and the tones of my video were adjusting like crazy all throughout the recording.4. I signed up for their one month free offer hoping that I could then take advantage of the 50% for a one year payment. Once I selected the one month free option, it will not let me cancel that and use the 50% off annual option. So I asked support to help me and literally TAKE MY MONEY for an entire year but they said it would take like 2 days to get back to me and I have yet to hear back...but now that I found the bugs listed above, I wouldn’t pay for even one month of this app.I wanted this app to be good for so many reasons but these are deal breakers for me.

BIG UV Teleprompter - If it would just work on Iphone 11

I don’t understand why there’s certian bugs that make it unusable for a polished professional video. There’s like one part of the app that seems really beneficial and that’s adding the quotations and text on screen and for some reason there’s just glitches in segments that just don’t allow it to work properly- it works for like half the video and then suddenly you can’t add or fix quotations in individual segments, it crashes and I have to repeat the process over again. One particularly frustrating thing is that it’s a 60 dollar subscription by far one of the most expensive on the market- and I rationalized the purchase as a must have for my industry wants.There is one part that is late in the video where no matter what you type the time segment reader or however they manage individual segments to be picked up by the application, divides one section to be much longer and the words freeze on screen for a few minutes no matter how many times I try to fix this it’s just not fixable. It’s otherwise an app with amazing potential. I may come back to edit this but I even just updated the app thinking that would help but it didn’t it’s the same issue.

Incredible concept but...

This app has a lot going for it. It’s easy to use and when you’re at the right distance it really looks like your looking directly into the camera the way you would with a traditional teleprompter. My biggest issue is with the iPad version (I’m using iPad Pro 11” 2018). It always starts in portrait mode, even when the iPad is in landscape. This is seriously problematic when the iPad is on a tripod as you have to physically tip the iPad all the way to portrait and back to landscape between every take. Also, when switching between apps the BIGVU app always has to reload which is annoying. If you use a green screen you have to add the background video or image immediately and once you’ve applied one to a take, you’re stuck with it, making that take useless if you decide you want to use a different background. Once a green screen background is applied the video becomes very pixelated to the point of looking low quality... even with excellent lighting and a perfectly flat screen. Not sure how to fix that issue. Like I said, the app is great. If not for these issues it would get 5 stars from me but these things make it almost unusable for my purposes.

First App review ever

As far as an App and what it does. I tried it for a few days. It’s excellent. I set an alarm to remind me to decide to use it or cancel because I know it’s easy to forget. (And End up subscribing to another app you forget you’re paying for). I went to cancel the subscription because although it was great, $49 a month right now isn’t worth it for me personally. (Again it’s. A great app). When I checked, it had me subscribed for 6 months at $49. I immediately contacted their Instagram (they got back to me very fast) which told me I had to contact Apple. Apple did refund me. But my issue is it’s so easy to forget and you definitely shouldn’t be locked in for 6 months. In conclusion the app is good. And prob worth the money for someone who needs it but from a general business practice it could use a little refinement. Hope this is helpful to all parties.

Great product, awful support

The app is really beneficial and unique in that it's not only a teleprompter app, but a video editing app as well. However, it does sometimes quits suddenly and the log-in system is not set-up officiently (Logging in via Apple on the mobile device becomes problematic later-on when logging in via the desktop). Other than that, it's a user-friendly service. My biggest critique is the customer support. Upon having technical issues and glitches, no one from support was able to assist me and ignored my pleas to escalate the matter further. The responses were like scripted responses that didn't really acknowledge my concerns, or they would offer a solution that I had already mentioned attempting. That is quite frustrating when you are looking to an app to create ease in the experience and becomes more agitating and frustrating 8 emails in.

I just tired of subscriptions

To get the teleprompter without watermark starts at $90 per year. If you want longer videos, you're up to $140 per year. Yes, there are lots of other features but if you just want the teleprompter, you're stuck in a subscription. I'm tired of subscriptions.Why do I have to buy video landing pages just to get a good teleprompter? I don't even have a green screen or intend to use on. I don't need my captions emphasized. Why do I have to pay more for longer videos? What additional costs is BigVU incurring by me uploading a longer script and reading it off my phone and storing the longer video locally? I just cannot wrap my head around why every app has to be a subscription and insists on budling everything so the one feature you come for is locked in a package with things you don't need.

This app is the best on the market!

I don’t normally write reviews but this app deserves my time. I love the features it’s very amazing and you can literally use this as a game changer for content creators. The support team definitely the best I dealt with so far from other apps. They respond in timely fashion. I had several issues (devices, subscriptions) which were my own mistakes and the support team makes every effort to sort them out. I give 5 star hands down. SuggestionI would suggest adding a feature where we don’t need a green background to use our photos or graphics in background for video. Besides that a few more updated features for loyal customers and more happy days to come with this app

When you’re done screwing around

The whole world has changed so fast that 2020 already feels like ancient history. Unlike the seasons or the time of da this change isn’t comforting in its predictability. After thirty years my entire business paradigm morphed into something unfamiliar. Anyone who isn’t a lighthouse keeper has had to readjust. Every aspect of our lives has changed. School, travel, shopping - even the way we define ‘going to work ‘ has has changed - not to mention how we spend our downtime. Bodies require food, hearts and minds require one another. My life requires direct channels of communication. I need to present ideas as they occur in real time.
