barely works
☹️apparently, there has been an update to the app so it would work better with iOS 15. However, it barely works. The voices, hardly ever announce the time. It shows up in the notification center, but not so that a person can hear it. I have reached out to the developer, they did respond. However, their response was not helpful. it doesn’t seem to matter which voice I use, it only speaks about 5% of the time. It also doesn’t matter if your phone is locked, or not, it just doesn’t speak when it should. I recommend you try other apps, before settling on this one.
Great app & prompt response for developers if you need help
App works great, great program, keeps me alert and oriented to time, great customer service provided by developers through prompt response. Developer help me tune the volume of the app to my preference. I use app regularly and the app has a tab to easily turn the app on/off. It’s very helpful. The voices are ok and do the job. This app does what it was meant to do, which is announcing time and it does it well. I can see this helping people who have ADHD and or “live in the moment” by helping them remember the time. The best investment I’ve made towards an app! The only thing I’d like added, is the option to have both the 30 minute and ding option for 15/45 mins selected. Right now, it says notification limitation by apple or something. But, I completely understand that it’s a restriction made by Apple and not you guys. Thank you once again!
Extremely Useful
I have ADHD and use this app for time awareness. The only thing I could ask for would be an integrated alarm (check out their AWESOME Talking Alarm app) and the ability to set custom intervals, for instance, for those trips into the store for “five minutes” and it takes 15! I would love to be able to put it in “squirrel mode” haha (please steal that guys) and in my ear pod hear the time every 5 minutes to be aware of the difference between what amount of time I thought my stop would take (with family waiting in the car mind you!) versus what amount of time it is actually taking—and of course being able to reduce this time warp squirrel effect! Overall I love this app. Thanks guys.
Best Time Voice I’ve found
There are many voices to choose from. When a time is announced, this app finds a way to fade out the current music, make the time announcement, and then return to the original stream without jarring your ears. No complicated menu to determine how often time is announced; the user chooses up to 64 times which are on a matrix waiting to be chosen or cleared.
Critical Day to Day App for anyone with ADHD
I struggle with time blindness. Watches are of no help to me because I have to remember to look at them. I love that this app announces what time is it in 15 minute increments (if I so choose) and that it can also include a short custom announcement with each time announcement. I use it to remind me that I need to do something at a certain time, a subsequent reminder to get ready to go, and then announce that I need to leave or go do something at each 15 minute increment. It’s been so helpful to also use it for pill reminders as well. If there was one thing that could improve, it’s if there was an ability to set different schedules somehow. Maybe the recurrence could be set when you double tap on the times to enter the custom messages? I would totally pay to upgrade. I’m not sure how it would work, but it’s still great the way it is now and I have been telling everyone that I know with ADHD and time blindness.
ADHD must have
I love this app. Never have I had an issue if my phone were to announce the time in class or work. It’s so beneficial in keeping me on track. Tried many other apps that were weird or just not simple & to the point. I want the time announced in 15 minute intervals, this app is the only app that I e found that does this. It’s been a life saver many times ❤️

I’ve had an app like this for several years. After I recently upgraded to a new iPhone 12 Pro my old app was unavailable. I decided to give this one a try. To my surprise, this one works much better than my old one. After I downloaded the app I noticed that I was not getting voice announcements. All I would get is a ding sound at the times I selected for it to function.I reached out to the developers and got a quick response to my problem. I must say , I did not expect to hear from anyone to resolve my issue. Certainly not as fast as they responded.Anyway, I received an email from Mark, one of the developers who gave me a list of options to try to correct the issue. Nothing from the list worked. To make a long story short, Mark and I emailed each other back and forth until the issue was resolved. All in one day. Amazing.Once the issue was resolved, the app performs as described with no issue. I have enjoyed this app 100%. I do not wear a watch so this app is very useful for me during the day. Set up is very easy. It has options that you can pick and choose. Schedule your announcements, use voice or tone announce, choose the person who announces the time and has great technical support.Best app of 2021. Shout out to Mark who cared enough to make an old man happy. I wish there were more people in the world like you.
Time Blindness Life Saver
I cannot tell you how much this app helps me with my time blindness and productivity levels. I don’t think I can do without it now, I used to lose track of hours and was really bad at transitioning from one task to another, but having the time ready to me every fifteen minutes makes it easier for me to check in with myself and make conscious decisions about how to structure my time spending. Thank you for developing this app, it’s saving my life. Bless you!
Great app that works without draining your battery
I am a person who is blind. I tried out Talking Time because of reading about it on an email list. Some things were not working quite right with VoiceOver. I wrote the developer, and within 24 hours, he had the first build with some improvements. Now, about a week later, it is greatly improved, and with iOS 15.1 will be my go to app for regular time announcements. Great app with a responsive developer. You do not find that very often. Thank you Mark.
Keeps me on track
I love this app because it’s easy to get lost in projects and forget what time it is. The audio reminders keep me connected to the clock so I can make regular decisions about productivity. I also like that I can set it to announce things like: “the time is 2:45; it's time to pick the kids up from school" or "the time is 9:30; it's time to take your insulin" or "the time is 5 o'clock; it's time to start making supper." It all really helps me to stay on track. Thanks so much for this talking time app!
