Most Excellent! I would suggest......UPDATE

......providing space for a bit more wake up text. One or two more lines would be great. I also use the app for reminders during the day. You’ve done a fine job with this app. Well done. UPDATE.....We’ll Done! This app is fully functional and easy to use. You can get really creative in setting reminders and alarms. One of my Top 10 favorite apps!UPDATE....the last update of streaming news is most excellent! Keep it up!......here’s another UPDATE, this is the only app I’ve ever written more than one review, but they keep making it better. The clock options and the text details are great. Keep up the good work, like maybe making it possible to send a text message to support the wake up alarm?

My insomniac self needed this app

I am a student who never sleeps and needed an extra boost to wake me up because I’ve somehow managed to sleep through my seven alarms in my built in alarm app. This app does wonders for me! I honestly didn’t know how someone could put so much thought into an alarm app but I believe they’ve thought of everything. There are many things to love about this app. - Customizable text that you can have verbalized by different voice choices. I enjoy leaving myself messages for the morning like “if you don’t get up right now you’ll be late” - Neat aquarium background that makes me feel better about leaving my phone screen on all night aka a pretty screen saver even if phones don’t need them - I am also less inclined to reach for my phone at night once I put the alarm on. Every time I re-enter the app it goes “ALARM SET FOR ____ about ____ hours from now” which I like for two reasons. One, it helps me feel safe that I correctly set my alarms. I have a bit of anxiety regarding “did I accidentally set it to PM??” But this app eliminates that issue with its verbal que when opening the app. Two, it is often making noise when the rest of the house is quiet so I don’t want to keep turning it on and off. More motivation to not doom scroll instead of sleep. - There are also options of how to turn off the alarm, if you want the camera light to flash and phone to vibrate, etc. Great for heavy sleepers.

Unique, Thoughtful Concept Well Executed

This app uses a super clever concept to get you out of bed: verbalized descriptions of your appointments and obligations for the day. That’s it. No need for gimmicks, no trite mental tasks or runarounds, no photo scavenger hunts or panic to start the day. It just reminds you WHY you wanted to wake up. This app has everything you need to wake up at your own pace. It can launch you from bed fast, or ease you into the day. I’m a huge fan!Clear, grammatically correct human instructions - they read like friendly notes from the developer to consumer - contextualize all the awesome features when you first open them in the app. Setup was super simple, app runs really reliably and well. After sampling many ineffective, frustrating alarm apps, I’m delighted so far! Thank you Mark!

I love Talking Alarm Clock !!! I have been using it for at least 2 years. I have been fired for 3 jobs for not waking up for work. ( I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). THIS APP has literally been a life saver for my career and thus myself and my children. I tried everything out there such as the thing you chase around the room to the thing you wake up and stand on, the alarm you have if you get lost in the woods, the one that stimulates morning time ( I work nights )and the clock that projects the time on the ceiling. Inevitably I would turn them off and get in bed with little recollection due to exhaustion. With talking alarm it tells you what time it is and you never have to open your eyes to know that if you don’t get up now that you are going to be late. You tell it the times to set and if you want to be nagged and even what to say ( to the morning you ) , cause if you’re like me that person is a different creature. I have finally been able to set an alarm to tell me to get up and take my medicine ( I have to take medicine to stay awake ) and then set another alarm to wake up to get ready for work . I honestly don’t even want to think where I would be had I never found this app !

Great app.

This app is great, however there are a lot of things that are not accessible via voiceover, and I am also having and issue accessing certain parts of the app. I also wish there was a part of this app that would have the time announcement on every hour, every quarter of the hour, or every half hour, and not just a voice, however different sounds such as Westminster, a cuckoo clock, a grandfather clock and watch beep. All of that stuff would make the app and it’s every day use interesting and more easy to use and much more interesting as well as it would help make the app more accessible. I guarantee you I would be willing as well as others to contribute a dollar or two for this feature.

This is really working for me. Finally I found something that works. I love how easy the clock is to read at night. This is the first week I’ve used it. Hearing a voice and having random alarms going offI do wish there was an option that would make the phone vibrate in addition to all of the vocal and alarm noises incase I forget to turn the volume up. That way if I would hear the vibration possibly or feel it if it was next to me on the bed. I have wondered if the alarm clocks that individuals that are Deaf could somehow be incorporated to help deep sleepers and vivid dreamers like me that can’t wake up out of such realistic dreams and nightmares. I have PTSD and sleeping disorders of insomnia and restless leg syndrome. My dreams are so vivid that I think I am awake. I have to take sleeping medication often which makes it even harder to wake up.

Don’t know what I would do without this app!!

Yes, it really is that amazing! It is 100% reliable and has never failed me, which is obviously of utmost importance (and should be a given in an alarm app, but isn’t always!). But what I love most is how customizable it is, which allows me to LITERALLY begin my day exactly the way I want to! One of my favorite features is being able to hear my day’s agenda and the weather forecast so I can plan my day (and I sometimes use the recording feature to record an important reminder, motivation, etc.). I also love being able to integrate Caseta dimmers with TalkingAlarm (I currently just use a plug-in dimmer to turn the family room light on for those really early, dark winter mornings). There are too many great features to list, but one last fave is the ability to customize the display so I can have a large, yet dim, bedside clock. Great job creating a very thoughtful, impactful app!!

EVERYTHING I Never Knew I Needed!!

No matter what I’ve tried in the past (and I’ve tried it ALL... including all the other alarm apps) I couldn’t seem to get myself up in the morning. It was a problem. Until I tried this app. My sister found it and it is a God-send! Not only does it have inventive ways of waking me up that sleepy-me hasn’t gotten used to and ignores, it reads a personal message out loud, tells me the time, weather, and appointments for the day on my calendar! It can play music or sounds that come on the app, connect to iTunes to play a song of your choice, even connect and stream radio stations live! The VERY minor inconvenience that you have to have the app open through the night is not a big deal at all. I’m blown away by the options this app gives you to help you wake up in the morning. Everyone needs to use this app!

Finally found my perfect alarm

I constantly run late and the morning countdown in the shower with my tunes blasting, keep me in time. I was going to make some convoluted Siri shortcut, but no longer! Now I get the time, weather, my schedule and trivia (totally random, love it!) and a countdown in like 11 different English accidents. Plus the developer is prompt and takes cares of their users. By far the best app for an alarm and it’s so affordable. I know this because everything in the app has a help menu/explanation. So you know what the 37 different settings do, allowing to to customize the bejesus out of it. Thank you for this perfect app. Oh! Did I mention that they hooked up video feed so you can watch pandas or fishes while the clock is in landscape doing it’s thing? Ha. The best.

I LOVE THIS APP

I’m not a morning person. Having ADHD doesn’t make things easier. I was looking for an app that could talk so it could remind me about earlier morning appointments I cannot afford to be late for. I found it and I can’t recommend it enough!! I love the fact that it has a Siri-esque voice to speak the texted memos out loud. It also has a feature where you can record your voice as a memo and your voice will play when the alarm goes off. I enjoy the weather report and trivia games that force you to engage, so hitting snooze a dozen times isn’t really an option. I’m waiting for the day that the creators add “doll-feet-running-on-hardwood-floors-and-into-a-closet” to the sound effect list, cus you know ain’t nobody hitting snooze after hearing. I love this app.

Description

- Wakes you by speaking the time, your next appointment, the weather forecast, and plays your music. - Tells you when you have to leave and reminds you with a countdown. - Asks a trivia question with the alarm to help get your brain in gear. - Can't see your clock at night? Tap the screen and TalkingAlarm speaks the time. - Integrates with the Home app and uses the HomeKit framework for home automation, e.g. turn on lights, open shades with alarm. - EZWake option for very slow music volume and screen brightness fade-in. - Background alarms work with the app turned off. - Snooze function lets you pause the alarm, but gets after you for doing so. - Optional time reminders during alarm music. - Sleep function plays music from your music library then very slowly fades out, or plays sleep sounds all night. - Dim the screen while sleeping, automatically returns to full brightness with alarm. - Live stream video of penguins, jelly fish, bears and other critters for clock background. - Optional periodic time announcements, useful while working or studying so you don't lose track of time. - Broad range of settings allow you to configure TalkingAlarm to your liking.
