Enjoy this game very much! I do think the difference between between difficulty levels need to be revised. Agree with ‘Breezy’ and ‘Easy’ difficulty, but the next one is too much a jump in difficulty. Also, like to see the third level brought down in difficulty a touch. Very glad to see the version I have, which is paid for with out ads. Would like to see puzzles with out the ‘pattern’ of the distribution of the numbers. That is, they often have a symmetrical distribution of the numbers in a balanced pattern. Also, the options and settings are very enjoyable. One last note, the back ground and text are the same color, all white, in this statement review. Please adjust. Had to go to another application to write, copy, and paste this text.

Best sudoku out there

I’ve tried a lot of different sudoku games, and this one is far and away the best. No matter how you play it can do it. It’s one of the only ones that let you “paint” numbers (select a number then put it in multiple cells without having to select the number each time). There are also several different settings in terms of allowing mistakes or assisting with the number entry and cleanup, letting you tailer the game to exactly what you want. Totally worth the cost if you spend any time at all playing.

Tried the free version, gladly upgraded to ad-free

I've tried out several versions of Sudoku on the AppStore but this is the only one that will teach you how to become better and learn more high level concepts. It's a rock solid implementation with some of the best UI and art I could find. Things I'd love to see added/improved:- even faster load times esp. when starting the first game- more options for background and field- draw a box around fields that already contain a number- customization options for pretty much all colors and highlights- use of concepts like X-Wing on expert level (never saw one, might be in, though) This to me is the best on the App Store and now it can only be improved marginally.

Excellent game!

I have a question for the developers and/or other players. I play at the "easy" level due to needing a brain REST from other activities. I'm at Level 19 now, and these games no longer seem easy at all, they are getting progressively more challenging! So, as you complete more games, does the app eventually move you to a more difficult level, even though it still reads "easy"?

Teaches you how to solve sudoku

I’ve tried many sudoku apps, and this one is easily the best I’ve found so far. Why is it so good? 1. The hints teach you solving techniques; they don’t just give you the answer. 2. The “painting” feature allows you to quickly fill squares with fewer keystrokes, no matter whether you’re entering answers or making notes. 3. Five levels of difficulty means you can solve puzzles at exactly your level of expertise. 4. You can choose all-manual note-making and -clearing, manual note-making and auto clearing, or all auto.

Best Sudoku App Out There

Bar none, this is the good standard for sudoku apps on the iPhone. I’ve been playing this one for at least 7-8 years, and it is the most reliable, even coming with cool features that I haven’t seen in any other app; the coolest is that if you’re stuck and you request a hint, it’ll tell you an official strategy for solving sudoku puzzles (i.e. X-Wing, Finned Swordfish, etc.) and how to apply it in your own puzzle. I didn’t know what those were or how to utilize them until playing this app. The user interface is also extremely intuitive, pleasing on the eyes, and easy to learn and master, so the only problems you’ll have to navigate are the ones in the puzzles themselves. I have gotten so much better at sudoku because of this app; I used to barely understand sudoku before this, but I’ve learned a lot and had so much fun doing it.

Best Sudoku App

I played the commercial version for a couple years but the commercials became more difficult to pass and often froze my phone. It was worth the upgrade to me. This game is very challenging and as many reviewers have noted, the hints are not answers. They really help you play the game better. If you love to play Sudoku I highly recommend this app. Unfortunately my 834,000 points from my old app did not transfer over. If the developers could help me with this I would be so grateful!!

Not just a fine puzzler

This is the best sudoku I’ve played. The options are wonderful. Including the option to have the puzzle load and then clear notes. It’s a big time-saver. But my favorite thing is the help button. It’s a very capable teaching tool that clearly shows things like “naked pairs,” (eg) and then thoroughly explains how to use these tools to become better!Great game. Great app!

Best Ever

I’m a long time Sudoku player. I looked high and low for one that had the option to reveal all notes for all cells at the beginning. This, besides one from an internet newspaper, has it. The newspaper gives you only one game per day. This one comes with every game if you choose that option.Putting down notes of possible numbers in a single cell is the most time consuming part of playing this game. This one saves you all that time. In addition, it lets you manage the notes...taking numbers off and putting them on. The hint feature is awesome. It takes you through each hint step by step in a tutorial way. Then to top it off, it applies that hint, if you want.Great game. It’s worth every penny....dollar!

Favorite sudoku app

I like that it highlights candidates in notes and that it has taught me sudoku from beginner on, and now I tackle hard puzzles. The Hint function is actually a hands-on teaching tool which will give you just as much information as as you need to move on. I never thought I could do sudoku, and in just two months , I have become pretty adept at it and it has become one of my favorite pastimes. Also good brain training!
