Me Charlee

Love this game, a challenge plus relaxing I enjoy trying to beat the computer and keeping my percentage rate in the 80s this should keep the brain active and working well, starving off brain diseaseI now have my percentage rate at 98.2 I am ill with cancer and this keeps me occupied. I now have 172 wins in a row. I have found if I do not give up I can win. A game might take a couple weeks but I can win. I have never had my cards shake, I would defeat and reinstall if this happened

Update

I updated my Spider app and now the card face numbers and images are too large. The large face makes it too busy-looking for me and more difficult to focus. I liked the smaller numbers and images but can’t find a way to change it back to the size I was using before the update. Is there a way to change it?

Short Screen

I have an iPhone 7. It took a while to figure out that to turn off the lock that prevents the game to be played the long way is located on the controls for your music. If the phone is open to the apps screen you slide it up to reveal the music controls. You will see a lock with a circular arrow. Tap on it and it will allow you to turn the game sideways. What I don’t like is that when you turn it sideways when you go to tap on a card there isn’t a lot of space. So the game control center or the music arrow pops up.

Thank you

Thank you for not blocking my game unless I accepted to allow you to track my data. My version is a paid version to eliminate ads. So far, I have deleted two apps from my phone because I paid for the ad free version and they froze the game unless I agreed to tracking. I value my ability to choose over playing games. It was so refreshing to click on your app and not see that pop-up. Thank you!

Titles earned for winning games and levels.

Love the challenge and I always play the 10 deck game. Would like to see titles of accomplishments awarded for mastering the next level. No big deal but it’s nice to see if you have moved up the leader board w every win. Maybe double the points if you get two in a row wins. Something along those lines. Ok. Thanks for making such a time wasting, relaxing game!

Almost perfect

I have an iPad and love this game. But after a recent update it developed an issue…cards in the 2 rightmost columns, when the stack gets long don’t want to select. This applies to a tap for the cards to move to the default location and for drag and drop motion. It has not only slowed me down, but caused me to end a couple of games early. I reported it so I hope it gets fixed soon. Love this addictive game!

Before you buy…

If you’ve been playing the ad-supported version, READ THIS before buying the ad-free version. I played the free version for a couple of years before buying the game. I played almost every day and got pretty good - if a deal was winnable, I could regularly solve it in under three minutes. Since purchasing the game and still playing daily, now my times average about 3:30. THEY CHANGED THE ALGORITHM, making the game much more difficult. I have far more deals that aren’t solvable, and as mentioned, my average time to complete has gone up by almost 50%!! That stings a bit, particularly when my whole reason for playing is to measure my daily capacity to quickly solve problems, etc.

Deals...not seemingly random

For relaxation, I play fast one-deck Spider. ...been playing a long time. Right or wrong, I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s a pattern to shuffles...that I can almost predict cards that will be uncovered. ...I can fairly quickly predict a single card...that will either, not show up until the last deal or not show up at all during that particular game. ...and while I can’t predict “when” a single or double aces will be dealt to the right side columns, I simply know it’ll happen. Great game...but if you play it often, you’ll recognize repetition.…moved a Queen, uncovering another Queen. Moved that one, uncovering a 6. …moved that…uncovering another 6. …this is how it goes.…a fresh new-game deal? …3 same-cards & 2 other same-cards. …not unusual. I sometimes restart 3-4 times before receiving a deal I think looks…feels…both random and not an auto-loss.

Love Spider Solitaire

However, based on my years of experience with the SolSuite version, I don’t think Branium’s software is programmed properly to deal the cards out in a strictly random fashion. Time and time again the cards deal out with many having the same number, e.g. 4 or 5 sevens, 4 twos or 4 or 5 fours, etc. all at once, making it impossible to play, so I have to start a new game. My SolSuite version does not do this.

It takes a Brainium to screw it up

This is what’s sad when an old game suddenly has an update and… Well you liked the way it was and now you cannot go back. The new layout uses quieter sounds which is bad for those who liked to crank it to max. The layout is lower in portrait mode, ruining a nice background image. And the wors is the stupid large logo that you cant ignore pushing you t o more games. Just done for flair. The end game animations are ok, but the game was fine before, it just shows you never own what you think you own. Best to just program the game yourself. Five star game is now 1 star
