Actually worth the download

I love how simple this app is for keeping up with the things that matter the most to our productivity, the atomic habits that underpin how we go about the rest of my day. With just a few taps I can keep up both with what I’m progressing on, but also hold my friends to be accountable to be the best version of themselves as well. This app is worth the download PLUS convincing your friends to get on. Nothing like getting to make fun of Jim for missing his run four days in a row but somehow managing to TikTok everyday.

Useful for home and work life

SnapHabit has really made habits a "snap" for me! The fact that I can share habits and challenge my friends/family/coworkers has really helped us work towards shared goals together. With my wife, for example, we've been doing a "no snacks" challenge. (All the more important during Covid to keep a good diet!) With my co-workers, we've added a habit to write notes at the end of the day about what we did ("snippets"), especially easy since notes are supported directly in the app. SnapHabit allows us to see how everyone is doing in these shared habits, allowing us to check in on each other and bug each other to get their snippets in! A minor nit is that load time is a little slow, and I wish it supported desktop/web.

Irritated in the first 5 minutes

Almost every part of the UI was counter-intuitive, annoying, or buggy. If this is a hobby-made app, good job on the effort of making the app (it’s extensive and fully built out), but if you want this app to be something useable, invest some time into learning user experience best practices.A list of things off the top of my head that I didn’t like within the first few minutes:- Couldn’t find the add new task button easily- Add new task button disappears when you scroll down on first page- Having the journeys take up most of the first page is annoying- incessant prompts to invite others or to link to social media- starts out with preset habits- it’s too hard to delete habits- seriously, it’s like every button tap results in a prompt to invite people, each time that prompt comes up I want to invite people less and delete the app more- prompting user to take a note EVERY time they skipped a day is really annoying- buttons on the top right of the habit details page flip back-and-forth sporadicallyThe list goes on. Even just one of these would make me want to delete the app, but there are soo many issues. It’s probably apparent that I’m annoyed, but hopefully this is useful to the devs.

Amazing for accountability and connectedness

SnapHabit is not only a useful tool in keeping yourself responsible for following through with your habits and creating a foundation for healthier routines, but is a platform to stay both informed and aware of what your friends and family members are up to. One great feature that combines both accountability AND the ability to stay in the loop with your loved ones is the option to “challenge” your friends to fulfilling a common habit each day. Especially during social distancing from others these days, this app is able to simultaneously bridge your relationships with people virtually, while pushing you to engage in habits that make you feel accomplished!

Having Trouble with Reminders

I really like the app, its easy to use and I like the tracking and customization of the habits. However, I just can‘t get the reminders to work and show up as notifications on my phone. For reference, I dont share and all my habits are private. I set reminders for all, and since I have ADHD, I really need the notifications to work for an app like this to be functional. I deleted and reinstalled the app, even backed up and restored my phone. I did a test with other apps and the notifications were working, and obviously have all notifications turned on in settings for the app. Unfortunately if I cant get the notifications to work for the reminders I‘ll probably delete the app. Hopefully I can figure it out as I couldnt find any way to contact support.

Simple but no growth

This is simple and best as a free app for friend accountability. However, it’s quite evident that the founders and team are not investing in this anymore so take that in consideration and if it’s worth having another app for this. In the spirit of building habits, this is a good tool to checkmark progress and to see how friends are doing. The default profile pics are awful. There’s opportunity to grow this app, so I hope the team sells it or prioritize it more.

The perfect companion!

My mom and I needed something to track our habits. We usually used a simple notepad or a notes application to keep track of our daily goals/habits. SnapHabit turns that habit tracking into something much seamless, fun, and addicting. It does a great job of reminding, motivating, and keeping one consistent. Sometimes I forget to get my daily fruit serving, but with SnapHabit, I’ve kept it part of my routine since it’s one of my trackers. I’ve also become consistent in my runs. Great app!

So much potential

I really wanted to like this app! For friends wanted to work together and SnapHabit theoretically gives you the opportunity to establish a group challenge for all the members of the group report in the same grid, very motivating. Alas, the app is very difficult to use. Even just inviting friends and connecting them to the habit we established is proving challenging. And don’t even think about editing the title of the habit once it’s been established, no can do. I have used HabitShare in the past which works beautifully, just doesn’t have the group/grad option but I think will be going back to that so we have something that works

Works like a charm

Out of all the habit apps that I’ve tried, this is the only one that works. It’s the combination of tracking habits myself + my friends tracking their habits + me getting notified about their progress + them being able to see my progress + us being able to check in with each other. It keeps me on track without being annoying or overwhelming. It’s made life during lockdown more fun (and more productive) too haha

fun for habits with friends but I want more color!!

Perfect for tracking my daily habits and super fun to see what habits my friends are working on and checking off! the design could use some colors 🌈🖍🎨 and more EMOJIS!! 🌸🌼🌹🕺🏽😸. would love to be able to set custom colors or even pick an emoji to check off -- i told this to the developers and they said they're working on it. looking forward to the next update ‼️☺️ i need to get more friends on this app 😜
