New avatars are horrific

I generally like snapchat, the features it has is great, but the recent change of the avatars/bitmojis whatever they’re called now … Not Good 😀It makes the faces look distorted and horrific, I didn’t mind the change to 3D that we got last time but the actual models were fine.. now they aren’t. I’ve genuinely considered taking mine down because I can’t get it to look right at all and using different poses doesn’t even help because it just distorts the face and makes the mouths especially really small. Plus the noses look so off and strange on the faces now, it’s ridiculous. It’s just really off putting ?? I feel like y’all could’ve still made improvements to customization while still keeping the previous 3D models.. But the changes made recently are terrible and definitely effects the quality of it overall.I’m more generous than others with the 2 stars I see because a lot of people aren’t happy with the new avatar changes. Like I said, the app itself is fine but this is a major change to the bitmojis that I personally really don’t enjoy and I hope there’s enough feedback that the devs can change it back. I’m all for better customization options, but not if it badly affects the quality of how the avatar actually looks. It’s giving me the same vibes as the Facebook/Instagram avatars which just look… tragic.. and I’d hate to see that change in snapchat, but unfortunately the avatars do look pretty tragic right now.

Wish I could use it

I used to have this app and loved it. I was able to chat with my friends in a form of communication I’ve never been able to do until my parents (dad + step mom) grounded me a year ago. I admit what I did was stupid, and deserved the grounding. It has been almost a year since my friend committed suicide and I used substances (literally was just weed) to help myself cope until I was caught. When i finally got my phone back I was allowed to have all my social media back except Snapchat. I thought it was only gonna be like a couple weeks of me not being able to use it and they told me, promised me I would get it back soon. It has now been 11 months and I am getting so sick and tired of asking and asking to be able to have the app back. PARENTS. This app is safe for your children when they know how to use it. Lighten up and don’t be a huge control freak. If you’re going to let your children have a phone then you have to let them choose their own paths and make their own mistakes. I hope I am able to get it back soon and sorry if this wasn’t a helpful review but I needed somewhere to rant and hope my arsehole parents let me have my phone back for myself

FIX THE APP!!!

i’ve had this app for the LONGEST time! but recently i have been having a HUGE problem. about 4-5 days ago my snapchat would not let me save any pictures because “i didn’t have enough storage”. i checked my storage and i definitely had enough. every time i tried to watch a story it would glitch to another one and wouldn’t even let me watch that one. everything took forever to send and my notifications for me receiving something came in later than they were supposed to ! so i tried to update it , that didn’t work. then i tried to log out so i could log back in to see if that would fix it. now it won’t even let me back in. it shows me in the camera but then it throws me out. some people i know have been dealing with this same problem as well. i’ve had someone else logging into my snap so they could send my streaks. i log into it every now and then off of someone else’s phone so that i can see what’s going on and watch people’s stories. i can’t delete apps on my phone because of a password my dad set and then forgot so there’s no way i can uninstall and then reinstall the app. snapchat i love you but fix yourself!!! please do it soon , all of my pictures and memories are on there , and that’s the only way i really talk to my friends.

Ai has got to go!!

I have had Snapchat for years, i love it, i love being able to talk to friends, send funny pictures to each other, have memories, etc. with that being said, this new AI that has been added is the dumbest thing anyone could do. I have deleted Snapchat and do not plan on getting it back. I tried to remove it and was unable to, i feel that if I’m going to have something I should have control over who/ what is on my phone and social media. Not the app itself. I also do not like that even when you have protection in place in their “privacy setting” it does not do anything. I have received message after message of strangers sending me sexual content. I report the message and block the user, then go and make sure my privacy settings are correct and they are. I also have ghost mode on because I do not wish for people to see my location, one of my friends informed me that could see my location while messaging me. I never turned this setting on, but somehow it got turned on. It seems that Snapchat has a mind of its own and the creators/ employees, or whatever you want to call it, can do whatever they choose to do with our personal accounts. I have had pictures deleted from my memories that I have not deleted, messages coming through from spam sending me sexual content, my location services magically turning on, and the newest thing “AI”. Snapchat really seems to be going downhill anymore.

SNAP BROKE MY CAMERA

I was on snap and randomly it stopped working, which is per usual. I closed the app and went back on, but this time my camera was black and wouldn’t turn on. I went to my normal camera app and it was the same thing. It’s been over a day now and my camera is STILL broken. I tried resetting my phone, I deleted and redownloaded the app, I have tried everything. Now, this could be an issue with my iphone. HOWEVER, my friend with a Google Pixel had the SAME thing happened to him after he used snap! His camera broke and everything, which makes me think that snap is causing a glitch in my software. PLEASE do something to stop this, it’s very inconvenient and I might have to get a new phone if it doesn’t fix on it’s own. Snap has a lot of features that are completely useless. The games? Little icons that show up on certain locations on the map? Stories you can subscribe to? Endless amounts of filters? It’s too much for one app that is already based around sending pictures. Some of the features added do not enhance the experience of snap and instead causes more technical issues since so many features are running. Important features should be a priority and if it is causing technicals issues then FIX it or get RID of it. I am FED UP with the constant amount of issues this app has.

Okay Ig 🤷‍♀️

I mean I like snap and all and I use it a lot it’s just been messing up my phone a bit. So you see whenever I open Snapchat it’s gets kinda glitchy and I don’t like that when I open it and exit and then re open it and go into my camera roll on snap it won’t let me select more pictures and videos until i exit and clear it from my data and have to re open the app and it’s just a pain so yeah and the new update I mean it’s okay kinda annoying I liked the original snap and I mean it’s not that bad there’s some things better like it’s easier to hack to do screenshots with out the other person knowing oh that’s another thing I don’t like that it lets the other person know you took a screenshot of there snap or chat it’s just annoying because than they ask why and you have to make up some excuse but another thing is whenever I try to send a video to someone from like Tik tok to snap if it’s over 11 seconds it’s won’t let me and then I have to save the vid to my camera roll and do that whole exiting entering thing I was saying earlier. But over all i use snap a lot and I like it there’s just a few things that could be done differently. Thank you snap chat and have a good day everyone!! ☺️

Great app… but with weird things

I love Snapchat. I’ve had it for almost 4 years now. It’s a great way to message your best friends and send them moments of your life you cherish! When I got it, I liked how the bitmojis looked and were cartoonish. They let you express yourself in ways you might not be comfortable with doing in real life. But, like 2 years ago they added 3D bitmojis. I didn’t mind them at first, they seemed like a new way to show yourself off to others. After a while they started to look creepy to me, like why are they so hyper-realistic? It’s a texting app, it doesn’t need to be that realistic, and by realistic, I mean they looked weird. But a few weeks ago they updated them again, and they somehow look worse than before. And if you are going to keep updating as usual, please, make it so the 3D bitmojis are Snapchat+ ONLY. As long as we’re on Snapchat+ only, why don’t I mention the terrible AI feature that creepy, unnecessary and inconvenient. Why is it pinned at the top of my chats? Why is it there in the first place. The point of Snapchat is to message and talk to real people, not robots, so why have them in the first place. If you’re going to add that feature, make it snapchat+ only. Not everyone wants that. Back to bitmojis, at least give us an option to turn the 3D on or off. That would be so nice. Anyways, how you take this review into consideration and follow what the app users want and not what you want.

Please send help 😡 They will not contact me!

If I could give less than 1 I would 😂 I used to LOVE being able to use Snapchat for my promotions, to take funny videos of my kids etc, they loved it! But I am very very disappointed with Snapchat at the moment!! A few weeks ago my account was terminated out of the blue at 11 one night. (Shortly after having exchanged words with a neighbor who I suspect reported me even though what was said was said elsewhere and what was said by me was not rude in no way, shape, or form.) I’ve sent an email but got an instant response saying my account was terminated and once an account is terminated they can’t help. There is no phone number, no email whatsoever to get in touch with their support center. I had went without Snapchat for years up until a few months ago when I decided to make a new one to promote my business and to see videos and pictures of my 10 month old when he’s visiting family members. I am very very furious I have not been able to get this resolved. I’ve reached out to their Facebook support page and got nowhere there as well. If I make a new account it automatically locks..I’m very disappointed with the customer service Snapchat offers. If someone sees this and will help me fix whatever issues are going on with my account, yeah I would highly appreciate that!!!!

Fix it.

Hello and I’ve been on Snapchat for ever. But not once in my life have I seen the screen black and a little grey. I don’t know what to do and I’m not sure why Snapchat did that. Even all my friends were confused on it to because they have NEVER seen that before. Why out of all people it happened to me? Snapchat is my happy place and now it’s ruined you see I would delete the app and redown load it but I can’t because I don’t remember my password. I could make a new password if I could ACTUALLY GET IN SNAPCHAT. Please fix this thank you :) also I don’t understand these bug fixes because it’s never helped my Snapchat not once. After all these updates and bug fixes my Snapchat as been way slower. And with the screen I updated my phone for it I restarted my phone and I’m scared to delete the app with some reviews I read about us not downloading it again? Please fix Snapchat and let us change our names and give us dark mode. And stop locking people out of accounts! That’s happened to me three times and for what? I’ve been on Snapchat for years no one deserves that stuff because then you have to start all over again and it’s annoying it really is. Take away the new update to there is no use for it and just fix Snapchat Jesus. I’ve waited all day and today is a new day fix it. Snapchat was working perfectly fine until this happened

Is this good for 10-12 year olds?

I’m really concerned about some inappropriate content that might be put out and that children might see. The app allows 10-12+, which might be a bit concerning considering the content, perverts, thief’s, cyber bullies, and kidnappers. The app is something every kid would probably download, since it’s something and older kid would download and they’d want to download it, too. So when a child would download it, they would post. When they post, there’s an old man, kidnappers, bullies, and thief’s. There’s just so much that could go wrong! But there’s also many positive things. When a child downloads it, they can also contact online friends without giving away their phone number that could be a bit too personal! This also goes for parents. In general, the app is great for socializing and finding ideas for things to do. It’s like Pinterest and iMessages in one. But as a ten year old child, I don’t think it’s safe, I feel a bit uncomfortable on the app, especially since I’m only ten. So really, it’s great for people that know to be careful, and are older. And I don’t think Snap Chats opinion about 12+ is accurate, I think you should be 14+. It’s really not safe at a young age, there’s just so much to go wrong!
