Description

Do you get overwhelmed reading your Bible, not sure what your take-away should be? Do you find it difficult to focus on a single thought for longer than a few seconds? Does the idea of being still and knowing that God is God seem impossible in the middle of your busy life?

Meditation on God’s Word is the answer to all these struggles. If you sacrifice a few minutes each day of focused meditation on what God has said to us, He will fill you up with the wisdom, guidance, and reverence you need to receive His grace. This simple app gives you all you need to begin meditating daily on a single verse, for a length of time you set. The verses are arranged in themed sets, so at the end of a series, you’ll have meditated on 14-31 verses on a topic. Each day, you’ll read a verse (in one of three translations), begin your timer, and then put your device down to meditate on this verse. Three journal prompts at the end of the meditation time allow you to reflect more on where the Holy Spirit led you during this time, what distracted you, and how you want to live differently because of this meditation time. You can share the verse and your journaled thoughts to social media, if you choose. This is a starting point for meditation, and no substitute for reading larger sections of Scripture, doing your own topical Bible study, or praying. It is one discipline among many that are required of Christians who want to grow spiritually.
