Not useful for those in India, can’t be used by the sbi customers outside India

This used to be the go to app for NRIs to use their accounts in India. Who even uses this app when they’re in India and can get sms on their phone? he whole point is to use it online and now they introduced an sms component which makes it harder to register when you are outside India.

Well Done SBI ! You did it again!!!

Another app from SBI to waste my time on. Tried to login and says “Not able to process now”.A situation of being away from the country and trying to transfer some funds through SBI is like mission impossible.Different type of OTPs go to different mobile numbers. Need to remember another password for accessing profile.What a mess SBI - I understand it’s all done for safety but what is the point in making things so hard that it never works and blaming it on safety.Request your developing team to at least refer apps from other banks to see how lightweight, modern and easy it is to use. From the app ratings it is pretty clear that all are having the same issue.Good luck all with your money.I had to request my friend to transfer the money to my home from his Citibank account.Feeling so bad and frustrated.

Great for world traveler

It’s the best alternative to Indian mob no for getting OTP as Indian sim may not b active in foreign countries. Just opt for this and no worries of mobile no, just login and get OTP from anywhere , just needed Internet.

Less Than A Zero Star

Dear NRI: Please read below.PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BY INSTALLING THIS USELESS APP. OPEN AN NRE/NRO ACCOUNT IN PRIVATE BANKS FOR BETTER SERVICE.Dear App Developer And SBI Babus: please read below.Even a 12th standard or a college student would write better software than yours. SBI website is a nightmare; the YONO app is another nightmare. Secure OTP app is out of this world. I am speechless. If I ever get this Secure OTP app to work, I would get a migraine. Even the most straightforward login process is made so tedious in your apps. OTP does not add secure layers.Please learn from other banks. Hire a world-class software development team to build quality software. Do not enforce poorly written software down our throats.

Highly Unreliable

After registration, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Other times, it asks you to register again (sometimes with your old phone number, through which you cannot register). Please fix it, or do not force to use this App.

NRI’s Don’t update

I recently updated the app it failed to register my mobile. I was using secureOTP more than 4 years without any issue. The new mobile verification is not happening correctly for abroad mobile numbers. The developer should act immediately for fixing the problem.

SBI OTP app

I was forced by SBI to use this App. However it does not allow me to complete the registration process as I am unable to receive the OTP required on my mobile phone that is not an Indian phone number. So how are we as NRIs living outside of India to use this application when you can’t even complete the activation process completely. For several years now I was receiving SBI OTP by SMS/ text on my phone with no problems. Now the app developers have messed it all up. Can this be fixed immediately to restore full functionality for NRI users living outside of India.

Cannot register

I am an NRI currently residing in US. When I try to register using the SBI secure OTP it is not allowing me to do this. Need urgent help with this. Don’t know where to look for help.Edit: Got a response from the developer asking to send feedback and images explaining issue to the provided email Id which I did. Waiting for a response to that email now.

Not able to register

I am using secure otp for more than 5 years and suddenly not able to register the app. I am in USA and cannot use my Indian SIM card in my mobile. However the new online secure otp app requires us to install the app in phone having the registered number sim. I request the sbi/app developer to help me. I need to do urgent transactions

This version 2.2.1 is not working

Hello App support teamThis versions of app is not working. After the first registration page and sending SMS message with key to the predefined number. The second page stuck with “authenticating....” message and nothing happens. I also deregistered in the online SBI and downloaded the SBI secureOTP app again to go through the registration process as per the instructions given on the help page. Please advise.

Description

SBI Secure OTP is an OTP generation App for verifying or authenticating online banking transactions done through SBI Internet Banking and Yono Lite SBI App. Customer can generate Online OTP through this app with Internet connection. One time registration with your INB credentials is required for using the App.

Service provider independent, hassle free OTP service is now available to you. Registration process: - Download and open SBI Secure OTP app, enter username and select SIM 1 or SIM 2 to register SBI Secure OTP application. No SIM selection required in case of single SIM. User should have SIM Card to send out the messages. - A message will be shown on the screen regarding sending an SMS from the device for validating mobile number. - Click on ‘Proceed’ button and an SMS containing a unique code will be sent from the device to a pre-defined Number. Kindly note that for sending the SMS standard SMS charges are applicable as per your SMS plan. - Enter password and click on ‘Proceed’. Accept the Terms & Conditions for registration by selecting the check box and click ‘Ok’ button. - An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. - Enter the OTP received and after OTP validation, user will be asked to set the MPIN for SBI Secure OTP app. - After that an activation code will be sent to the registered mobile number. This activation code is valid for 10 minutes. - User has to complete the activation by login to OnlineSBI. Activation Process at OnlineSBI: - Login to OnlineSBI, go to profile section and click on Activate Secure OTP link. - Enter the activation code received. - User registration to SecureOTP app will be completed after successful validation of activation code. - Please note that mode of OTP authentication for Internet Banking/Yono Lite will changed to State Bank Secure OTP. User will no longer receive OTP over SMS. - Login to SBI Secure OTP application using MPIN. Note: Ensure the same SIM is in place for sending the registration SMS and completing the registration.
