Perfect!!
this is the best app for learning the russian language. the app is entirely videos, but these videos and the man instructing them actually go through each process of learning each letter, and using them in real world context. he uses examples, and even provides conntext with how to change each word based on plurality, or even how adding a letter can change its entire meaning. i would never look for another language app. this one is the best so far. ive never written a review like this so i'm proud its for this particular app.
Best russian app ive ever used
I almost never leave reviews but i had to with this one. this is the best Russian app i have ever used and i was able to learn how to read Russian in one night, and his teaching tactics are sogood i woke up the next morning still able to read everything. i highly recommend this app to anyone trying to build a foundation to go on and learn the words of the language and want to know the alphabet first.
This app needs more reviews, it deserves it.
IF YOU HAVE NO SOUND: turn off silent mode on your phone, that will fix it. Besides that, this app worked like a charm and after about 3 hours I am pretty confident in my ability besides a few letters (the w and u looking ones) but practice makes perfect. I recommend getting this app before spending any money, then moving on to a paid course on another app or trying out his podcast.

I’ve tried learning Russian before, and it isn’t easy when you are accustom to an A-Z alphabet. This app’s lessons have explained it so much quicker and clearer than anywhere else I’ve looked. The first step to learning Russian or any language with a Cyrillic alphabet is leaning the sounds of each symbol, and if you use this app, you will learn the sounds of each letter and you’ll pick up on a few words in 3 hours. I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt this app more than deserved it.

Guys, I know to some, the app looked like a hole in the wall but I promise it isn’t. I’m a youngster trying to learn Russian because I have a large interest in the culture/people and would love to visit one day! It’s a great app, and it’s hard for me to absorb certain things I learn, especially foreign languages and I thought Russian looked so impossible, but this app has lifted that weight off and I feel more confident in learning !! I recommend to all English speakers trying to learn Russian like me!

Just amazing
I have been learning Russian from the “Russian Made Easy” podcast. I only recently started using this app so I can learn Cyrillic. This app takes the learning experience to a new level, and I feel like I have a much better grasp on the language as a result. The team that put this together created the most effective way to learn Russian naturally, and in a way that makes me want to learn even more. This “language companion app” is so good, that even if you are not actively trying to learn Russian, I think you will enjoy using this app just for fun. You may be surprised how great it feels to learn in a gradual, and fun way.

I'm an avid language buff and probably have 20-30 foreign language apps on my iPad. I think this is the best one I’ve seen in any language. It’s just a series of videos, but he leads you through learning to read Cyrillic at just the perfect pace, with great context along the way to make it as intuitive as possible. I really only intended to learn the alphabet so I could sound out written Russian for fun. But now I think I’ll check out his full language apps or website. If they’re anything like this, it’ll be a joy to learn. Amazing app!

So i decided to pick up russian. and there are plenty of apps that say they’ll teach you, like rosetta stone for example. rosetta stone is a premium brand app that supposedly specializes in language learning and such, and this free app blows it out of the water. rosetta stone asks for up to $200 bucks to learn the language when this app (along with the other one published by the same guy) does it for completely free. and it’s so much easier and more logical. i cannot express how amazed i am with this app. i actually took the time to send the publisher mark a long email about how great it was. i am so impressed. so with that said, if you want to learn russian or even just the alphabet, download the app. you won’t regret it. it’s completely free with no in app purchases (which is rare) and is so much more helpful than even the most expensive. it’s a 7/5 star app.
Best Teaching App
I seldom write reviews and I rarely give five stars for apps. I like this app because this basic learning app correlates how a person can relate English words and texts with Russian words and letters. The instructor in this app gives excellent examples and the relationship how some words are similar to the English words. I wished I would have found this app awhile back before spending so much money on tutoring which I failed to understand Russian language because I could not grasp the understanding of their alphabet. I understand and now know most of the words but if I continue reprocessing this information a few more times, I will know how to read Russian very well. The annunciation and pronunciation of Russian words will take me much longer to master but at least I can read better now than in the past due to this app. I want to say thank you for the developers who created this app and will be following for more educational tools.
