Great idea. Poorly executed

The controller in the Instagram advertisement doesn’t exist. False advertising. If you choose to try the app, not all the fx appear as shown on sample clip. For example, the horror theme sample shows a smoky effect but when you try, colorful streaks are shown. Each effect adds music over your own project’s audio- you’ll hear two soundtracks. Also, editing that changes speed changes the audio’s speed too. The desire is the edit the visuals to the music, not edit both. This would be an awesome app I’d buy if you really could do as the advertising claims.

FALSE ADVERTISING

None of the features displayed on the ad are present. They use a content creator named jilrock1 in their advertisements to “show off” the visual effects features of the app. That creator has clearly stated that he uses the desktop app blender to create his visual effects on his content. Reel only does basic effects that you can get for FREE from apps like cap cut. Waste of a download. Hope they don’t get reported soon for false advertisement.

False advertising

This app clearly uses video created using professional video effects in the ad to make you think you can perform studio quality editing here, but the positive reviews on this app are fake - this is a super basic video editor, worse than any I have found and brings absolutely nothing new to the table.

This is BUG central

I beta test a lot of apps. I’ve been doing so for the past 10 years on over 10 iOS devices. This and the last release have been nothing but bug city. These bugs are things I don’t see in early beta runs of apps, let alone an app that wants to charge you $10 a month. I had a few months paid subscription before and didn’t feel that the app warranted the price.I certainly would not pay for this app if this is how they beta test (the general public who pay for subscriptions).I am actually shocked that any self-respecting developer would release an app with this many bugs. Even lone developers would not even send something like this to the beta testers let alone think you would pay for it. Get it together, fix the app, and maybe I’ll throw 10 bucks away next month. Until then, I have plenty of iOS apps that don’t cost nearly the price that this app costs, and they actually work. So disappointed.Crash, freeze, and error messages are all this app offers right now. I will change review if it ever gets better…

Pretty cool

Seems cool. I got it for a year. However can’t find any online tutorials on how to use features. Are there any instructional videos demoing the app and filters?

Rip Off

This is a huge rip off and advertising is misleading. You cannot do any of the spectacular effects advertised on Instagram or other adverts. You’d be lucky to crop your image and add a filter. No real time effects—-boring boring boring. You’ve no choice but to buy a subscription to UNLOCK but you have in fact just paid for an app that does what most any other photo or video editing app does. This shouldn’t even be on the App Store.

Went ‘Pro,’ super disappointed

There are a couple really cool effects available for free - and upgrading to Pro is pushed pretty hard. I figured id give it a month shot for $10, and I feel ripped off. Very few new features are available after paying. None of what’s unlocked after paying is better, graphically more appealing or more exciting than what’s already available. The only other new controls you’re granted as a ‘Pro’ are some very limited music editing options, like adjusting the volume or choosing audio from your gallery. As said, this app has some cool foundational capabilities that are tough to find in other editing apps. Namely the repeater stuff. But you’re so limited in terms of actual editing features anyway, and so little is unlocked for a whopping $10, it’s hard not to feel like I got screwed. Sure you could go with the lower price and pay for the year, but if right now I’d paid $35 for what feels like nothing, I’d be an entirely different level of annoyed.

I didn't know fake reviews were a thing...

Clearly this app purchased about 1k positive reviews because the app functions like trash, there is no way it has 5 real stars. Before you even use the app at all they are asking you to review it - so annoying - within just a few minutes of tapping around they have tried to get me to go pro 5x. All of these effects are super super lame and found in way better apps, there are NONE of the cool effects that got your attention in the commercial. False advertising and a crappy money grabbing app. If you want this stuff go check out apps lie video leap that are affordable and work as advertised.**My response to their responseNo you guys aren’t working hard or you wouldn’t have purchased reviews, trying to take the easy path. Maybe you could have spent that money to make the app better instead. 🤦‍♂️
