Useless for Updating your Devices

I tried very hard and too many times to update my Profoto B10 plus and my A10 with no success at all. The app just froze every time. I had to do it manually by downloading the firmware to my laptop and connecting my devices directly to my laptop via usb cable. The app may have other uses which I haven’t used and for that reason I gave it a 3 stars, otherwise I would have given it only one.

Several issues in the past few weeks

Can no longer update the Connect remote firmware thru app, which is the only way to update. Also, the MyProfoto web link no longer works either, so I don’t have access to the warranty information or firmware downloads for the Profoto equipment I have purchased. Everything worked well for over a year until just recently.

Works great... well, mostly

Incredibly easy to use and set up without instructions. My only issue is that it appears there is no test fire option for my B10, when using my Profoto Connect. Would love to have this feature, as I would really love to fully invest in this new Bluetooth system.

Works very well

The new version works very well. 1/60s sync speed on the Pro Max 12 with the B10 is awesome. The raw files are usable. I wish the phone would have a longer lens!

Love Profoto but not today

I tell everyone that my profoto equipment is the best until today when I received my connect for sony. I connected it and it worked, while on the app it states a firmware update, so I completed it and now the unit is not working with my camera and it now shows it as a connect for canon. Very disappointed and frustrated!!!! My air remote for my nikon never gave me a problem. I am up at midnight trying to find a fix when I should be asleep! Shame!

Not Optimized for 11 Pro

Should have downloaded the app before purchasing the C1 Plus. App is not optimized for the 11 Pro. Pretty disappointed for the app and the launch of the C1 Plus, especially at its price, since it was right at the time of the 11 launch. Profoto should have had the app optimized for iPhone 11 before launching the C1 or made it clearer in the product and app description.

Terrible update - June 2022

Profoto is the “it just works” lighting company. Unfortunately not anymore! The latest update to the Profoto Control app has REMOVED the ability to SEE the power setting of your lights in manual mode. MOST professionals start with Auto and then switch to Manual mode to adjust the settings of the lights. In the latest update to the app, (June 2022) we are working blind because the app only shows us changes in tenths of a stop WITHOUT showing us the final power setting of the lights. PLEASE Profoto put this function, to show the power setting of the lights in manual mode, BACK into the app like it was in previous versions of the Profoto Control app. This is the sort of negative change to a professional workflow that makes people switch brands. Seriously Profoto do better!

Sometimes good sometimes bad on c1 with i phone 12 pro max

I took photo with i phone 12 pro max . The back camara capture decent photo sometimes if i get the adjustments right on auto mode . I mean to be on auto it should be fully auto ? No ? I still have to adjust multiple times to get it right . Because is too dark , too warm or too washed out . The results are not consistent . And the iPhone 12 series have very good computational photo built in their camara app is a shame that the profoto app doesn’t use it in their app . Have to adjust soo much to get it right but if you get it right its so much better but i have to take like 100 pic to get 1 photo . I’m using c1 buly the way . And i take mostly beauty shot or head shot for my portfolio because I’m mua . I was thinking if c1 can use directly with i phone build in camara with that processing computational photography that will be bomb . The profoto app processing human subject not correct in my opinion . Also the worse is selfie is useless. Is not like advertised . To conclusion C1 and iPhone should be convenient and flawless to use pls fix Auto mode and image processing pls or make it possible to use with build in camara app .

Front facing camera/selfie option missing

I’m using the C1 Plus and everything in the app seems to work fine, except there’s no button for the front facing camera. I see where it’s supposed to be from the example photos, but it’s missing on my app.
