whaaaatttt happened? waittt, nevermind!

Wow, pictapgo has been my go-to edit app for a good year now, plus really appreciated the periodic free filter recipes. They completely disappeared though, & now, when I try and use those saved recipes they’re completely uneditable and not functional. Another photo app down the drain?UPDATE….guess I just needed an update, as now I’m able to use & edit the recipes. Not sure how to just delete my first review, so am editing. But still DO miss your edit recipes!

Latest update

I have been using this app to update photos for awhile, & I’ve always loved it! However, the latest update I installed today over edits the photos on some of the filters once you click save. For instance, the “lights on” filter turns brighter than I want it once saved, & “cool it down” looks deeper and more blue once saved. This makes editing photos much more challenging than usual. Overall, this is a great app, but it needs a few tweaks to the latest update.

Subscription Based

I got so exited to see there was a new app, I have used the old one to edit all my phone photos for the last six years or so. Once downloading it I see that all the new things are subscription based. It makes me so sad and frustrated that any of the extras are only subscription based. In addition only a few of my recipes transferred. So I’ll go back to the old one until it stops working, I suppose.I would like to add I would be more then happy to pay for the app to start with and pay for the additional add ons. My disappointment comes because I can’t do a monthly subscription for the unlimited future.

Charging for features that the original included

I have had and used this app for years. It updated and now features that have grown accustomed to using for FREE are now requiring me to SUBSCRIBE WITH AN annual fee for every individual feature. For example. Batch editing. So frustrating! And so disappointed that am app I purchased and owned updated with features that were free that have to be purchased additionally in order to utilize.

The update is terrible and a rip-off

I’ve been using this app for years. It used to be functional without having to pay for a subscription. I was able to save my steps which helped in getting a consistent look to my images and batch processing was super helpful. They’ve updated the app - the old version was not usable any longer- they forced users to download the new version. The new version is not at all user friendly in a sense that the workflow is redundant and too much work. You can only save 3 recipes and you’re not able to use the steps used in the previous edit to apply to the next photo- this was possible in the old app. Batch processing, history and so many more items are paid features now and some are subscription based which means they will continue to charge you for the same thing. Very disappointed.

My go-to photo editing app

I’ve been using PicTapGo since 2013, and I was pretty happy with the classic version. To be honest, I didn’t think I was going to convert over. However, all the upgrades with this new version are amazing! The ability to tweak each filter/adjustment after applying a recipe and the addition of curves and levels are definite game changers. In addition to the user friendliness, filters, and batch editing, I ended up signing up for the full subscription. I’m the main memory keeper for my family, and this app lets me edit the over 1200 pictures/year that goes into each annual family yearbook. This app is one of the only reasons I’m able to keep up bec I’m able to edit while on the go. Not having to be tied to my computer is worth the $2/month to spend more time with my family (and take more pictures).

New Version Disappointing (UPDATED REPLY)

Updated Review: I’m adding to my rating simply because I can’t remove my low rating, which I don’t think the company deserves. I’m sure the app is great, I just don’t find it as user friendly as the original app. Apparently I didn’t understand how to access the same features, although they are available. So higher rating because you *can* do what you did in the old app, even though it wasn’t intuitive for me when I tried. I’m just not a fan of the new app. I was initially so excited about the new update but am actually let down. I’ve been using the old app for years and years. I loathe subscriptions and prefer the old app.

Superb redesign, fantastic expansion

I used the original PicTapGo for most of my phone photo-editing since 2013. When I heard a major upgrade was in the works, I was just not sure how that would go. I apologize for my skepticism. I've loved PicTapGo+ from the first few minutes of use. The new filters and adjustment features are wonderful. I spent a lot of time building custom recipes in the old version. With these filters, I'm usually happy with one m. I'll be using the new app to edit images for holiday graphic design work.

my No. 1 photo editing app...

I’m a long time Pic Tap Go user and have to admit was a little skeptical with the new + upgrade; however, after reading an article about some of the new features I have realized that they have really made it even better than it was before. It is the number one photo editing app that I use on about 90% of the photos that I take on my phone. Download the PTG+app, you will not be disappointed! also, their customer service is fantastic.

Update I didn’t think I needed

PicTapGo has been my all time favorite photo editing app for years; I loved it so much that I was skeptical of any need for improvement. First off, I was appreciative of the fact that I was able to import my existing recipes. Next, my only gripe with the old app was that it could be slow to navigate between albums when selecting a photo to edit, but there were no performance issues here! I also really love the ability to adjust the levels on a photo; it really makes a difference. Then, I discovered the feature I have been waiting for; when you apply a recipe you can see all the filters that were applied and tweak them individually. I was officially sold on the new version 😊. Obviously the new version steers you towards a subscription. If almost any other free app I use went from free to freemium I would be cranky about it. However, I honestly feel like $20 annually is completely fair for this app so I’m willing to support a company I’ve been a fan of for so many years.
