Fantastic Tool

This app is great for using multiple versions of the Bible and just for study. It is, for me, primarily an etymological tool to better understand context, word usage, and even connotations that make reading through the Bible an incredibly rich and engaging experience. I used it all of the time for study during my two year mission with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arkansas, and I especially loved that it is free from any particular theological persuasions; it is a Bible that and and all of God’s children can benefit from reading and understanding to pursue their personal understanding and relationship with Heavenly Father. It’s also just fun to see the Greek and Hebrew written out, and makes me feel like I am gaining a better, wholistic view of what happened in the scriptures. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to engage more with their Bible study!

They asked for 5 Stars. They deserve ever one of them!

I don’t do many reviews so why am I going to give this app 5 stars? Well it doesn’t have the best UI like other Bible apps. The UI is it’s biggest feature that is hurting this app. Confusing, small action buttons and not the best overall scrolling experience. Everything is smash and squished together. You will probably ask “why the 5 stars?” If I said what is bad about what makes it breaks an app. Because what it doesn’t right? Is everything else. Literally. Everything else. It isn’t my primary app but it is my app for those who prefer less distractions, good social media share feature without all the frilly photo backgrounds. Simple and clean Bible verse snapshot. Biblical Studies Major’s Dream

I’ve been using Parallel Plus for several years now. It was easy to figure out and use at the beginning of my college studies, and it continues to serve me well as I head toward graduation next year. Whether you are a casual reader of the Word or someone who is looking for a deeper dive, this is an excellent app for finding your way around God’s instruction manual. One of my favorite features is the “Word” and “Verse” drop-down study. I have to take Greek and Hebrew for my degree and they have made the translations very understandable and usable. It offers the text translated phonetically with proper tense explanations. It works very well and I think it has been a real asset to my GPA. If you are looking for a great tool that is simple to use to help you glean more from the Bible, this is the one to get. It’s not complicated and you will be happy with the excellent benefits of understanding God’s Word.

Wonderful, reliable, 1st choice study tool

This is my go to reference when reading or intensely studying God’s word (read daily use). Easy to flip from one passage to another. I always have 3 translations open to make clarifying the passage easier. I have a printed parallel Bible, which is huge and heavy. This app on my tablet is so portable, I take it with me to many places. I could not do that with the printed version. The printed version is only 5 translations. This app gives me access to MANY. If I spoke any of my ancestral languages, those versions are also available including an Arabic one! Awesome! So very glad to have this app. Thank you to those who work to make this available and keep adding to it. What an awesome service for getting out the word of God!

Indispensible for Serious Study

I use this app daily. I keep six different translations with original Greek & Hebrew/Aramaic (plus LXX/Septuagint) texts open for every passage read in morning devotional, using the lexicological aids for word studies. This often allows me to formulate alternate translations that illuminate passages beyond what the Amplified Bible offers. I especially like the simple, unified interface for searching words, phrases and book&verse addresses, which is able to decipher attempts at book abbreviations without colons or other customary punctuation.I gave only four stars simply because nothing is perfect. I believe the interface can be made a bit more intuitive. Plus, I would like to see a few of my favorite translations made available, namely the KJ2/Jay P Green, NLT and Living Bible paraphrase. I would also enjoy seeing parallel links to Haley's Handbook and reputable verse-by-verse commentaries, such as Ironside and Chuck Smith.

This app surpassed my expectations.

The way the application is set up, is extremely basic and simple, definitely needs to be updated in several aspects. However the content itself, once you figure out what book versions to pick from a wide range and variety of past versions in time. Then your choices are your home page and your asked to type your chapter and or verse your trying to compare and it shows the different versions from each book, exactly how they were written to my belief. I’ve found the app informative and useful, and interesting. It’s extremely helpful when I’m trying to under my current newer written bible, making sure I thoroughly understand my studies and receive the correct message and feel a lot more comfortable and reassured with my understanding of each chapter and verse with the help of this useful app. Great tool for bible study, and a broader understanding. I enjoy using this app its one of my main resources or tools I use definitely a must have for me when I’m trying to understand something that doesn’t seem to make sense or I would like to try and figure out the purpose. Please update.

PARALLEL PLUS BIBLE-STUDY APP

When I had the chance to buy my parallel bible years ago, I jump on it and I can truly say that it was one of the best purchases that I have ever made. You should never debate on buying any learning tool that brings your understanding of GOD’S Word. Remember, God is speaking directly you us in his word. It is both a learning tool and a communicative experience. You get the opportunity to learn what GOD’s character and personality is, and you also get first-hand knowledge of what he wants for your life and his requirement for a better life through his teachings. “This is a great app, and a learning experience.” Through this app I am able to read the Bible in languages that is was originally written in. I am also able to read the Bible in Languages that I want to speak to someone in. It’s just an all-around learning tool for everyone. Thanks Clay

5 Star I wish it had audio Bible app, it would be 5++

I enjoy viewing several Bible versions side by side on my iPhone screen. I don’t have to close out of one version in order to select additional versions in order compare the different translations of the Bible (God’s Words). The search tool is easy and fast as well. Also it provides additional information about verses and meanings of words as well as Bibles in other languages. I rate it 5 Stars after having other electronic Bible Apps. I use another Bible app as well only because it has many Bible videos and my many of it’s versions include audio reading of the words on the screen. If the Parallel Plus were to add those additional features of audio reading it would be a 5++.

Favorite Bible-Study App

Parallel Plus is to my knowledge unparalleled. The ability to choose multiple versions and translations and see them side by side is wonderful. The long and steadily increasing list of available translations, not just in English but in many languages, is most impressive. The Strong’s numbers are included (hyper linked in the Hebrew and Greek), allowing for lightning fast word studies. The search functionality is also super quick. When reading or studying Acts through Revelation, be sure to check out the very recent and scholarly working translation entitled “A Journey through the Acts and Epistles” (WTJ) which paid strict attention to the so-called critical Greek texts, as well as Aramaic, and so importantly: ensured maximum consistency and harmony with the scriptures altogether in determining the best possible rendering.

“Verse” atility

I really love this app. I was looking really hard for a Bible app that could show how many times a Hebrew word is used, and where it’s used, but not many apps have a tool that did exactly what I wanted. I also really like the way the app lets you look at multiple translations. I’ve also found that the Hebrew definitions are more exhaustive and accurate (that’s in my opinion). It doesn’t look too cluttered, and it’s still easy to maneuver through the options. The app is also pretty easy to use; I don’t find myself getting frustrated by the format. The only critique is that the app isn’t the most visually appealing, but I think it’s abilities make up for it. I honestly wonder why this app isn’t more popular because it really is a gem!
