Instead of saying pending transactions, you should show the customer where the charge is coming from. It would help the customer to cancel the card if they see charges at a place they were not at instead of waiting like one or two days to see where the charge was and then it’s to late. So if card was stolen multiple charges need to be fixed That’s the purpose of having mobile so u can see right away.
Everyone I have talked to with iOS16 on their iPhones are not able to use the check deposit feature. I spoke with our local bank (30 minutes away) and they said they have heard of the issue but couldn’t help me. They gave me the cooperate number to call since this has been happening for 2 weeks now. Cooperate said they hadn’t heard of any problems with their app and it had to be my iPhones and iPads (6 total in my home). Later she said maybe 2 in every 1000 people are having issues. I said I could name 5 right now not counting my family. Needless to say they were absolutely NO HELP!I’ll be looking for a closer bank if they don’t get this fixed soon. Hopefully the bank I switch to won’t be closing the local branch like Old National did.
There are a couple issues that I have with this app. First, the pending transactions need to be viewable. I want to be able to see what the charges are so I can make sure it was me who made the purchase. Second, when I try to deposit a check the camera doesn't work correctly. It takes multiple tries for me to get it to finally work. Other than that, the app is fine. Please fix these issues. Thank you.
When I use this app for a check deposit, it will not recognize that I have “rotated my device” in order to take a picture of my check. VERY inconvenient! Every once in a blue moon, after rotating it every which way, it will go to camera mode. Yesterday I had 2 checks to deposit. It was 6 minutes before I was able to snap a picture of my check. When I tried to deposit the other check, it was the same problem all over again. This time, the camera was never able to come into focus, and I was logged out automatically for inactivity. Also, when there is a pending transaction, it does not list the vendor. If I don’t recognize the amount it panics me, as I have had my account compromised before. NOT a good feeling.
I have tried for two days to scan a check in for deposit. I’ve never had issues until two days ago. It keeps telling me to rotate my phone. My phone acknowledges that I’ve rotated it but the app doesn’t. This needs fixed ASAP. Others are experiencing the same issue. I’ve been a long time customer of ONB but this will cause me to find another bank considering I’m not immediately near a bank to do a deposit on site. The banks site advertises mobile banking and the option to electronically deposit checks via app but if it’s not working it isn’t a honest advertisement.
The pending transactions should show you where it’s pending from. Every other bank app I’ve used, shows you the merchant that is accessing your account. Also, the current and available balances can get confusing. The app is not very easy to read. zelle should be able to have access to your contacts and not have a minimum of $10 to send out. Zelle with the First Midwest Bank app didn’t have a minimum. If I need to send a “test” zelle to someone, I have to send $10? That’s a bit much, don’t you think? Transfers from your own accounts after 9pm are not available right away either. What if I’m out late and need to transfer funds over to cover my expenses? ONB did not do proper research in the Chicago market before acquiring First Midwest.
The changeover from First Midwest to Old National has been a nightmare all around. Its just constant issues since. Not being able to see what pending transactions are, not being able to see past statements before the merge, app not working correctly. It's all extremely frustrating. The app keeps telling me to rotate my device when I get to the point of taking a picture for mobile deposits. Hasn't worked for probably 2 months now. It's really inconvenient because I'm not very close to an Old National to make in person deposits frequently. I'm seeing and hearing from alot of people with the same issues. It doesn't seem like ONB cares enough to fix any of them. I'll be switching banks.
I’m sooooo sick of ONB and all these glitches they have for various things. It’s been a nightmare ever since the changeover from FMB… literally one of the worst experiences of my life. It’s the ongoing, ever changing, constant issue of one thing after another. This time, check deposit doesn’t work and hasn’t worked for at least three weeks now. As soon as you get to the point where you would normally take a picture to deposit a check, that’s where it happens. Tells you to rotate your camera. You rotate it. Tells you to rotate it again. Where? Back to my original position where you first told me to rotate it? Yes. And it doesn’t like any position you’re in. You never actually get to the point where you can take the pictures you want. Also kicks you out of going backwards so you have to kill the entire app, open it again, and go back into the check deposit just to start all over. It’s. Always. Something. And. I’m. Over. It.
I had this app for a while and it worked great but I recently had gotten a new phone and downloaded the app and they needed to confirm my identity in a text or call. It would not let me click on the text option so I tried the calling option and even after multiple tries it kept saying “unable to confirm my identity at this time.” So I’m not even able to see my account information now unless I go to the bank or login through their website. I also tried fixing it through their help suggestions and it still wouldn’t work. I’d suggest the app if it would actually work for me
I really appreciate this app. I use it all of the time. First off, I don’t give 5’s. This would be a 4 star if it weren’t for one thing which I have discussed with the branch manager of my branch and they acknowledged that other customers agree. The issue is that the app does not take away immediately or add immediately after a bill pay or a deposit. It waits until after it clears. This is not what competitors do. Once you make the transaction on competitors it shows up, changes the balance and shows as pending until it clears the bank. The Old National app procedure is not good.
