This is probably a decent app, I switched to this one ever since blockad decided to move into a paid platform. This does block ads but I’m concerned that it may use your ip for someone else. I recently recommended this app to a friends of mine and they told me when you use the vpn you just use someone else’s ip. I’m hoping it’s not true, because in the past months nothing really has happened. Overall, if your look for an app that does the job, I recommend this one. The reason why I don’t give 5 stars is because of what my friend has said. If you are worrying about it, I suggest first dig before concluding that, because like blockad it hasn’t done that so I have hope for this app.
I can’t find a way to reply to developer responses, but they wanted me to send them a report. How do we send them reports? I can also send some screenshots. Update: started seeing ads on the App Store and sponsored posts on websites. I used to use Blokada but ever since they switched to a paid platform I found and use this app. The only difference is not being able to manually allow or deny DNS traffic although I’ve never seen any ads. I just have zero trust and would prefer stricter block settings.
This app works exactly like that other adblocker you’ll see a number of people mentioning. This app blocks those hideously obtrusive ads in mobile games too! Only reason I don’t give this 5 stars is the fact that certain websites on google (like when you want to look at a purchasable item advertised through google on a store website) are blocked as well. Kinda inconvenient regarding that, but this app is doing its job perfectly so I can’t really complain.
I downloaded the app three days ago. On the first two days I would have given it five stars. I was so impressed that I was showing it to someone else yesterday and noticed that there was an update. I noticed that the price had been increased also. I did the update and now all of the ads are back. If it did the job like it started out, ten stars wouldn’t be enough! It was great! I still have the option of purchasing it at the old price on the app that I downloaded. However, if I delete it and reload it, I’ll have to pay the increased price. Is that what happened to my blocked ads? $$$$$$$
In the past, I got annoyed by some of my mobile games because there was no way to get rid of Ads by paying real money on them. In 2020, after I used Ad-Blocking and Spyware removal tools to get rid of annoying content on my computer, I used my first Ad-Blocker (which is only free for Safari and 99¢ for other Apps) on my phone to get rid of Ads on my browsers and some of my games. When I got too bored of this App, I tried to find a better Ad-Blocking App until I found your App. As of today, I am still getting Ads and malicious content (especially playing Unicorn Chef Apps) regardless if my Naka is turned on or off. Then, I’ve sawn that I have gotten a few error codes (dotted in yellow) via the Failed section of my Local Geek Logs. If only I can make this review have 4 1/2 stars but or now, I’ve already reported your current update for bugs and hopefully your next update will slightly be better (like removing the Failed section that’s in the Local Geek Logs).
I got this app mostly to rid my mobile games of annoying ads. It works great! The only reason its not a five star app is because a feel like sometimes it almost works to well. Let me explain. Pop up ads are very annoying but, if I have the choice to watch an ad to open a chest or gets coins or something like that, then I should have the right to do that. Its my choice, its not like a pop up ad. Other than that, great app! Keep up the good work
I’ve been using Naka Privacy for a very long time. I’ve been using it way before you had to pay for it. I’m pretty sure I was able to use the VPN for free a long time ago. But today, I went on the app and noticed the VPN was disconnected. I went to turn it back on and I had to pay for it. I was in the discord once a long time ago and realized the developers had made it no longer free and said people who had the app before didn’t have to pay. Did that not count for the VPN?
Very rarely leave reviews on apps. Was looking for a replacement to Blokada since that app now charges for use. I was also looking for a replacement VPN since my IPVanish subscription is ending and it's too expensive to renew. This is a fantastic all-in-one app, and even the yearly subscription is very inexpensive ($20 with a one week free trial at the time of this writing). This app honestly is the best of both worlds and does the job! Obviously it's new to me and I haven't had a chance to fully use it yet but so far so good! Glad I stumbled on this. Don't hesitate, download it! *This is NOT a paid review, I am very excited for this app.*
A big thank you to everyone who had Blockada and suggested this app. It is so hard to find an app that blocks ads on the Mail Online app and this one does. You also saved me a lot of time searching for a new ad blocker. That is about as much fun as running into a plate glass window. I didn't like it when Blockada stopped working and I didn't know why. That wasn't very nice of them. I hope people looking for an app see these comments and don't get Blockada after what they did to us. I got a window that said the app store wasn't accepting payments at this time and I should check my internet connection. So I went to the App store to find a new ad blocker. Blockada could have grandfathered in their current subscribers and only charged the new ones. I am so grateful that I found this ad blocker. Don't hesitate to get it. The free version is really good. The only thing you have to lose is ads!
So I went to go watch some anime then for some reason I got ads now this wasn’t normal since I had Blokada so I went to check them it said I needed to pay so I went on TikTok and saw others with this problem then this one person said there was an replacement which is this app so now I’m here and It does work like they say
