Since I'm not a native English speaker, my knowledge is still not wide enough to discuss about the word problems that appear in the game, so I'm just gonna mention some of its main good points. I've totally been knocked down with the way the whole game works. Not only this game itself is an extremely addictive one, but also I've never faced any annoyance during my experience with it till now. Coin purchases are available but no extra level purchase, play the game and you'll get coins for unlocking new levels. Advertisements do appear sometimes, but as long as they appear neither too much nor always after a single level completed, I'm totally fine. Furthermore, although a lot of pp said that there were vocabulary mistakes, I still haven't had to deal with one ever-since I started playing. This is why I'm not gonna regret a full stars rating for this game. Keep on the good work you developers! I'm excitedly looking forward for new levels to solve. Love xo.
I'll second (or3rd, or 14th) the reviewers who mentioned weird, obscure, and often flat-out mistaken clues & answers, but I've found a saving grace that keeps me hooked, despite these: my BFF & I both play and send each other the craziest, most erroneous puzzle screw-ups, and make each other laugh.Really, the issue seems to be that this game, written for native English-speakers, is actually written BY English-first-language people. It's clear many times, they've simply opened a Merriam-Webster and pulled part of an entry for a word, which doesn't at all wholly define the word. The tenses on many clues don't at all match the answers, and some answers are completely wrong. The one that comes to mind is "hold" when they meant "hole," as in "darned hole in sock." Regardless, it's still addictive. As long as I can get my daily chuckle from capturing/sending puzzle mishaps with said friend, it's all good. 4 stars.
There have been many comments/complaints that the free daily puzzle doesn’t work. But the admins of the app seem to take no heed. I don’t recall seeing an update to this app in the App Store. The only thing that seems to change is occasional offers to unlock levels at a discount. I just now tried to go to app support, and it went nowhere.
This game is really fun if you like puzzles and word games. I really am addicted to it. The only thing is, it was clearly written by someone to whom English was not a first language. Some of the clues make no sense whatsoever when they are paired with their answers. And the grammar is very messed up. Also, at the end of every level, there is no time to review your answers before the screen moves on to the next level. If these issues were fixed, I'd give it five stars. I love how there is a new 'free' level everyday worth 20 coins, but it would be nice if they added some more full levels to the game permanently.
Good game but as others have said there a lot of wrong answers and misspelled words in these puzzles. In the beginning I was shocked at the answers I was left with. But after reading the reviews I see that I'm not the only person noticing the inaccuracies in many of the answers. At one time I was able to get to the Mystic Free Answers if I really got stuck because a hint was incorrect. Now I can no longer do that as the answers are not available. Enjoy the game just don't get upset when there are no frickin letters left that make up the correct answer. Just twist and turn the letters until an answer works. At least you have the number of letters in the clue😏
Played the puzzle daily. Looked forward to the fun. 7-5 days ago I was not able to access the daily puzzle. Have reset my iPhone; deleted the app and reloaded it multiple times; removed the app process and restart with the same annoying/sad affect. No contact to get support or advice. At times when the app reloaded a set of puzzles came up but they were not the daily puzzles. And the next time the same puzzles were available. I was only able to access 6 of these puzzles.
While I do enjoy the game play, incorrect definitions have made it annoying at best. There have been a number of instances where I'm pretty sure they made up words, and a number where they obviously don't know the meaning of the word. Sometimes it's at least related to the definition, but sometimes it's more like "this word sounds like that one so it must mean something similar". I draw the line, though, at the clue being "country that is also a continent" and the answer being "Africa". That is so wrong as to be not even tolerable. Africa is not a country, no matter how many uneducated people think it is. Deleting the game.
So after a LONG time of not playing... again, the daily puzzle still does not load. Can play the other levels just fine but would like to have the whole game working. Added note is that when I came to write this review, my previous one was already there and it talked about how I haven’t played in a long time and the daily puzzle had yet to be fixed from my very first complaint. Apparently, no one is reading my reviews or they just aren’t taking it seriously. 🤷🏻♀️
This has been one of my favorite games for a while now. I particularly loved the daily challenge. I would have given 5 stars, but the daily challenge I looked forward to every day has not worked in more than a year, and I believe it’s actually closer to two. Because of this I don’t play nearly as much as I had before the challenge stopped working. I had won the challenge every day for at least a couple years. This issue was the same on multiple devices, including one I had before this started, so it wasn’t a compatibility problem with a device. If this is fixed, I would love to update my review with the 5 stars I would love to give to this app.
I'm addicted to this game. Definitely recommend. Having a lot of fun with it. But as I progress (currently on level, like, 400 or something) I'm seeing mistakes. "A country that is a continent" is not Africa. There are spelling mistakes in some of the clues that make it hard to understand. If I think that's the case, and it's one of the last ones left, I check online for the answer. (Not often, I promise!) otherwise, really great game! I have a lot of fun with it! I do wish coins were easier to come by. Like four a level, instead of just three.
