5 Star Potential but not quite there yet
First off I want to say this game is amazing. The art style, the customization, the simplicity, the casual style of the game is all A+. I preordered this game about 2 months ago and have been eagerly waiting for its arrival, I even got my partner (who isn’t into games) to download the game and they love it as well. But, it under delivered. I know the game is new and there is plenty that the developers want to add eventually and that takes money but this game basically boils down to a ad-to-play game. Almost all the things you want you have to watch adds for and continue to watch adds for. I would like the game to be more accessible and right now it doesn’t feel that way. Even a purchase ($5 dollars or so) to get rid of ads would be amazing as I’ve already spent several dollars on the game just to get things I really want.Also the game consists of to much waiting, my plants are cute, happy and awake once every 5 or so hours. I want to be able to see the those animations more often but even if I don’t want to click on them to get the coins It’s easy to fat thumb and accidentally collect the plant and have to wait another 5 hours to see my plant awake. The game needs help but it’s on its way to being the best game on the AppStore and the phone version of Animal Crossing!
Confused?
Maybe I missed it but it doesn’t really say what watering does. Doesn’t seem to speed up plants or make more money. Idk what it actually contributes to. Also why are the plants different prices if they all give you one to two coins each? There’s no indication of how valuable they might be are they just aesthetic? Which is fine there’s just nothing really explaining how value works. Also am I just not far enough in the game or is this all the game has to offer? I don’t mean to be harsh but you just harvest for a few coins and hope it eventually adds up then you have to choose between buying a new plant to hopefully increase profits the tiniest amount or you can buy a piece of decoration. The previews show a lot more features I have yet to see and the “coming soon” sign in game makes me thing they’re not even implemented yet. If not, why was this game released now and not after you had the features in place? Edit: just got to the point where my crops are resting which means I can’t even make one to two coins for a while. What is the point of limiting income this hard? I get it is a decoration and customization game but you’re making it impossible to even get the decorations you want. That’s already limited by the store timers so why also limit the currency so much?
Cute Start!
The day I preordered this game I was scrolling through the App Store when I saw this cute game! I knew I had to play it when it released, and the day finally came! The art style is absolutely adorable and pleasing to the eye. The crops and scarecrows look adorable, and I love how little hearts surround the plant when it’s ready to be harvested! The only complaints I could think of at the moment is when the plants take a rest, there’s nothing much to do. Even though the waiting isn’t that long, it still feels like something is missing. Then again, I just started my little farm so maybe that time could eventually be spent decorating with more furniture. Speaking of furniture, the decorations are adorable. Placing them around the farm is easy, and you can even rotate it to your liking!I can definitely tell that this team put a lot of love and care into crafting this game, and I’m excited to keep growing my little farm!
Highly anticipated
I’ve been on the waitlist for around 2 months for this game! So far it’s really cute, I haven’t noticed any bugs so far. The only thing is that I don’t know how I’m supposed to get gems other than by doing the free gem options which I can’t do Or by watching a video for 5 every 24 hours. My suggestions:- Add ways to get gems.- Personally I don’t like idle games, I’d rather spend hours farming to get a lot of stuff and still have more to do. I don’t. Like having to wait for cool down (I don’t mind a 10 minute of under one but 24 hours is too much). - Add things to do other than farm. - I love games where I can collect things (pets, hats, characters, etc) - all clothes and hats are worth gems but you don’t make gems very fast so you have to decide if you want to get a hat/outfit that will be gone in 24 hours or buying more space to play the game. - You make the same amount of money from each crop so it doesn’t really matter what you buy. I wish there were distinguishing prices between them. - it’s cute and fun when you first start but after around 10 minutes it gets boring since now you’re just sitting and waiting for nothing. You get furniture but there isn’t any room for much of it. - your character is pretty useless, it just stands in one spot. - I was hoping this game would be kind of like Animal Crossing in terms of farming fg and collecting and gameplay but it’s just another idle clicker that makes it really hard to get a lot of money.
Not really worth the wait
Don't get me wrong, the overall art style and design is as adorable as any other Hyperbeard game. But the gameplay so far is... almost nonexistent. Plants cost different amounts of coins but they ALL give only one or two coins when you harvest them so there's no point in getting different ones and it's also extremely hard to save up coins because of it. I don't understand watering plants because there's no meter for watering and it doesn't seem to make plants grow faster or give more money. And the plants constantly go to "sleep" which doesn't make sense and I can't figure out how it's measured. Sometimes I'll hop on and harvest several times before they sleep, sometimes I haven't played all night and I can only harvest once before they go to sleep. I can't really buy furniture because getting money is so slow and it takes a while to earn gems through ads to expand your farm to get more plants. Overall it's just not worth playing, I'd rather put time and ad watching energy into one of hyperbeards better games.
Incredibly ad-ridden
It is a very cute game with a lot of promise, but there's ads EVERYWHERE, which is such a shame because I've been excited for this game for a few months. I even accidentally clicked on on an ad as a balloon was flying on the screen, and all of a sudden I'm stuck in a 30 second ad! It's kind of insufferable, and it almost feels like just to take a step in the game you have to watch an ad, that's how many there are.So far from what I've seen all the character customization is bought with premium currency, and there doesn't seem to be a concrete way to really earn that without watching even more ads and doing incredibly scummy offers that will more than likely take real money to complete.Again, it has a lot of promise, but I wish they would've just made this a paid game if they are so dependent on ad revenue. I'd have gladly paid like 5 dollars or so for this game if it meant I didn't need to watch an ad for almost everything I can get in the game.
It’s good!
So far i’ve played the game and it’s been good, no glitches or bugs! Now the reason i gave it four stars instead of five is because i think the grid placement could be better, what i mean is when you place something it only has space for that box/grid and it makes the decoration or vegetable very unusual! When you place a lamp you have a single box it can move in or you could move to a different box but you still will be limited to that box and with that it doesn’t give freedom of decoration for your farm. One more note is the availability of clothes or decorations, the free feature is cool but i’ve played your guy’s other game called pocket love and with that game it’s the same, you are limited with how many clothing and decorations you see/get. i think that is unfair especially since the wait time is 5 hours long for a refresh. I think if you gave it more availability then more people would spend money on buying coins to buy decor/clothing/plants! Overall this is a very good game so far and i’m in love with the art style i just want it to be not the same as pocket love but more unique!!!
Here’s what I have to say
I love so many of HyperBeard’s games (Pocket love, Adorable home, etc) so when I found out that this game was in production I was very exited. The App Store display looked very promising, but to my dismay, the game was much more dull than I expected. For one, all of the amazing graphics for the shops that are displayed in the photos in the game are not there at all. Two, many ads as well as the photos promise a customizable home, and as far as I’ve made in the game, there is no house. The gameplay is essentially just planting things and decorating farmland, and if that’s what you’re into, that’s great! Most of HyperBeard’s games are meant to be played casually. That is not my problem with the game. My problem is that the games ads are misleading, and they overpromised and underdelivered. I know that the game literally just came out but it almost seems cruel to make a ton of promises and not follow through. If you want what the ads and photos promised, Don’t download this game. Otherwise play on. That’s my opinion.
It’s cute!
Really cute game! I was anticipating its release bc I love farming games and I loved the art style it showcased. It’s still been fairly recent since it’s been released, but there’s some things missing from the game. One of the first things I noticed is the animal barn has a “coming soon” sign. There’s no missions or anything in the game so I’m wondering what I have to do to unlock it, or is it not ready for release yet? Also, since there’s no missions or jobs to do, I assume this is more of a decoration game than a simulation. I enjoyed decorating my farm with objects and crops, but I barely get any coins in return compared to how much the crops cost. That makes it harder to buy furniture and more crops bc my coins deplete so fast. Those are some of the gripes I have so far. I notice there are more features shown on the screenshots that aren’t in the game currently, so I’ll take it that those features will be added eventually. Until then, I think the game is good but could use a few tweaks here and there.
Adorable!
I love this game so much and I’m in love with it! It also love how you’re able to get gems by doing/buying certain things! I’m a little confused though, the preview is a little bit different than the game itself. And the art style in the preview is a little different than the game. But only a little. Almost looks the same except a tiny bit different. And in the loading screen I see my character playing with a chicken outside a barn but there is no barn. Well I mean, there technically IS a barn but it says “coming soon”. Also whenever I get something ( like a package, or a free item with an ad) I keep clicking the balloon ad thing for another gift but it won’t do anything. No ad, no gift, nothing. But otherwise this game is perfect! So kawaii! I love it so much! Bye! (*'▽'*)( Also for people who say it gets boring after a while I think the reason they did that was because this is the type of game that you check back on. You don’t really need to stay that long, just wait until you’re package is delivered then you’ll know when to start harvesting again. But then again this entire paragraph is just an assumption.
