Love the idea, the UX is lacking

Love the idea of AI auto scheduling my tasks. Like the integration with Google Calendar. I’m disappointed by the design of the web-based site. 1. The task bar on the left hand side is chaotic looking and actually makes me feel less in control. It lists every single task I have coming up. Is there a way to hide it? 2. The name of the task on the calendar is often cut off so I need to click on the task item to see what it is. 3. In general the design does not feel clean— this is a major disappointment for someone who bought this expensive subscription hoping it would be my go-to calendar. Would love to stick with this but need to hear if Motion plans to do design improvements.

Difficult to cancel! Skip it

I found it a bit difficult to use because it is still too manual for me. I couldn’t set a manual task at a specific time or day. I also couldn’t integrate with my work email. I cancelled after a few weeks of trying. Then got charged for another month. I’ve now cancelled again online and via email and am getting only automated responses from their customer service. Now it seems kind of scammy. It might work for a small business but probably not anyone at a large firm without a lot of manual entry & set up effort upfront.

Lifesaver!

LOVE! It took some time (a few focused hours) to merge all my different todo lists/calendars/systems into this but after just two full days of using this during a SUPER busy season… I’m hooked. It’s the perfect place to brain dump tasks throughout the day, I love the AI arranging/adjusting my days so I can see when I’ll get to certain tasks (which alleviates stress about wondering when I’ll have the time to do X,Y,Z, and I absolute love the booking links and integrations! 10/10

Hard to cancel

Update. Customer service issued a refund in less than 12 hours. Have to admit that impressed me. I wasn’t using because work would not allow the app to be used with our calendar scheduling. That was the only reason I had canceled. Changing my rating to reflect the superior customer service.You have to go onto the website to cancel. I canceled this two weeks ago and got a message that it would be available to me through the 14th. Today I just got charged for another month. When I signed in I showed me active again. I canceled again and got the same message that I would be available to the 14th of the following month.

Very Little Resources For App

I feel as though they are not actively trying to improve their app. I signed about about 4 months ago. The web app works fine and even back then Users complained about the unreliable and unresponsive iphone app. Last 2 days maybe 3 I can’t get the app to open. Just stays on M. If you going to charge over $210 USD you should have resources to fix the app. Cut your social media spend by 30-40% to invest more into the app. Otherwise people like me will just go back to Calendly, or use Asana.

Customer support is nonexistent

I got this app to help me better time manage my school schedule but I didn’t find much help. I felt as though I had to put more work into helping my schedule so it didn’t satisfy my needs. I tried to cancel it on my last day of the trail but I seen my card was already charged. Even if I was off by a day I am not even able to speak to anyone to explain my situation. It’s been since august 6th and I still have not heard from anyone but a computer that has general responses made by a computer.

I totally love the updated app

I’ve been hooked on Motion for desktop but didn’t use the mobile app as much until now. The latest update is huge. It got me to share the tool with my friends. Motion is now a complete task and calendar tool for me. Both at the computer and when I’m on the go. Looking forward to more integrations. Please keep up the great work team!

This app is a game changer

I run a commercial commercial construction company and this app has been a game changer. As far as organization time management and project timelines it is phenomenal. This is probably the only application I use on a daily basis to help organize jobs tasks within jobs and my weekly schedule. Anytime I have any problems the customer service is extremely responsive and helps me resolve issues quickly. If you’re like me and unorganized because you’re constantly busy this app is going to be a game changer for you. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to see what other features they include on future updates.

seems like a great idea in ads, but not enough information provided

i came to this app from an instagram ad promoting it as a tool to eliminate the struggles of the infamous paper planner. (buying a planner, then not keeping up with it) the ad makes it seem like you can just download the app and get started, but unfortunately this app requires a web version and also a purchase at this time. since getting onto a computer and putting in all my tasks would take longer than jotting in a planner or my phone, i’m a little disappointed.of course, as someone entering project management, i understand the need for software like this in the professional world. either way, it’s advertised as a mobile app, but it should probably be clear that you also need the desktop application. still it sounds like a great idea and i hope to revisit & rerate in the future if/when things become more accessible.

Game Changer for ADHD Task Paralysis

I spent so much time planning my day, by the time I got started I could barely accomplish my goals. I was always running behind. Trying to keep a constant inventory of ongoing projects and tasks in my head at all times took all of my energy, and I was burnt out fast. Motion is amazing, I can quickly input tasks and reminders as I think of them, and then relax in my off time. When it’s time to work, I log in and see my day planned for me. Like having a virtual assistant!
