Hoping for more endgame content soon

I’m not sure if I should be embarrassed or proud to have completed all the levels, but here we are! At first I was just playing the match games and skipping through the story, but I got sucked in before too long, and had fun with that aspect of the game as well. The levels are interesting and challenging enough to keep me engaged. The game is generous with power-ups, that helped me though difficult levels. I am not sure how many levels I played, but I know it was over 3k (not counting all the side levels for seasonal events and whatnot), so I obviously recommend this game. And I hope to see new levels soon.

WAY too Expensive, feels like a scam!

This is a VERY cute game, & the artwork is adorable. The storyline isn’t bad, either... but I’m probably going to end up getting rid of it, as it’s just priced WAY over what a person in this economy could possibly afford. Examples: it costs a star just to begin the day, many trivial tasks take 2 or more stars to complete, and the boosters are about 20x overpriced, even in comparison with other G5 games. Unlike other games, there is very little one can do to earn more spendable credits, and the learning curve is high. The only way to continue when you run out of moves in the game is to spend 900 (!!!) coins, and that only gets you five moves, which will invariably get you within one move of completing the board, making you feel like you’re playing a losing slot machine, sending good tokens after bad, but if you don’t, then you risk losing your last life & THOSE are bloody expensive as well. G5 DEVELOPERS: this is a lighthearted, fun, somewhat juvenile game that’s priced like porn... you should SERIOUSLY re-think your pricing strategy before all the players realize that it’s free to play in the sun. I play a lot of your games, and this one is the only one where I felt genuinely annoyed at being fleeced (Homicide Squad is a close second on the price-gouging table)!

Not what it used to be, and good thing it’s free.

If I would have reviewed this app when I first started playing, I would have given it 5 stars, but not any longer. Ever since the May 2022 upgrade, the platform has become unstable. Each time I play I get kicked out of the game and to make matters worse, each time I try to play I have to uninstall and reinstall to play. I have completed more than 3000 levels and one day I won’t be reinstalling the game. I have tried to let tech support know about this problem but all they do is send me emails asking what is wrong, when it happened, etc. I don’t think they bother to read the responses because all they do is ask the same questions and never try to fix the problem. Good thing this game is free because it isn’t worth a cent.

Fun game so far

I like it now, it moves along well, not a ton of ads so far but, like all these type of games I can see it slowly moving toward what may end up being typically impossible levels. Starts out easy to convince you to stick to it and then gets to the point where you can’t move forward without using all the helps and thus, having to spend a lot of money to be able to move forward. Which I won’t do, usually. If I did, I’d be broke. So, I’ll enjoy it while I can - I really do like that you don’t need a lot of points to do tasks, you can so far get points pretty easily, and the story moves along pretty well. And, best of all, limited ads! So, thanks for all that.

Disappointing game

Not what the ad showed what kind of game it really is. I downloaded it to try because the ad made it look it was again even about fixing things up but also meeting the challenge of which things to choose to get the task done and the consequences for the wrong choice and the right choices moved you further ahead ing the game. When it’s really just another bejeweled type game with limited number of moves that eventually lead to having to used all sorts of booster helps to pass the levels just to move ahead in the game but then le stars won needed to do each task to advance in the game get wasted on stupid things like going to talk to someone which does nothing to advance in the game or things like start a new day, etc… all things that should automatically happen. Very disappointing. It has potential but all the activity wasting and slow moving it’s nothing more then another bejeweled rehash.

Match Town

Match Town is a different take on standard match-3 games. The difference comes with the inclusion of character driven story elements that you can unlock as you advance. The overall aesthetics of the game are more cartoony than I’m used to and at times I feel like it’s more meant for children than adults. What I dislike about the game is the monthly quest. I haven’t completed any of them because as you level up the event, the entrance price increases until you have to keep shifting between the main game levels and the event to get enough items to play said event. I stop playing the events when it hits 30+ items to enter and the level count to ascend hits 40 rounds. I find it to be inconvenient and time consuming in a way that is not exciting.

Disappointed

The game was fun at first and I really got into it. The storyline is okay but I feel that is not intended for children rather more for a mature group. The levels are easy at first just like any other game however as the game progressed and I started getting to higher levels the game scam me out of moves. So I’m on level 593 and every time I start the level it will give me 5 moves then I restart it and then it will give me 10 or 15, 20 or even 30 then back to 5. It’s ridiculous. I’m seriously thinking about deleting the game if it’s going to do that. It’s not the only level this has happened. Literally I would be playing starting with 20 moves then I make 3 moves and all sudden I have only 5 moves left. It’s absurd!! Will not recommend downloading until they fix the bugs in the game.

Fun game, crappy storyline

I have enjoyed playing this game but my issue is with the storyline. I don’t like the fact that they made characters to be rude to one another, lie, etc. Thomas is rude to Mary, he tells her that they have enough in the budget to get an ice cream and cotton candy stand but then he told the mayor that he told Mary that the budget was tight and that he said Mary insisted on getting new stands that made the mayor mad at Mary and then Mary didn’t even confront the mayor she just kissed the mayor’s bottom. The storyline has already upset me. I do not like the fact that the characters were made to lie, cheat, deceive, etc for what, to cause drama?!? I don’t think so. Please in the next update, fix the storyline.

Not bad but story makes me mad

For a match game, it’s not bad. Some levels are easier than others, while some feel impossible without using tools. It’s annoying that it costs a lot to get five more moves or to buy tools. I also find it annoying that I can’t add one of the helper tools in the middle of the game- instead I have to select it at the start. You do have to have a lot of patience if you don’t want to spend real money for the game and avoid buying tools, etc. Lives take a while to refill and while you can ask for help from friends, you still have to wait for them to play and honor your request. My biggest issue is the story line. The main character we follow is a horrible mother and daughter. All she does is work, push off her son when he comes to her to ask about his dad, and waffle on divorcing her jerk of a husband. I get that the story unfolds over the course of the levels but there is no reason for Mary to still be with this guy. Fortunately, I’m not playing this game for the story, but if I was, I’d be deleting this game. Bottom line, you need to be patient when it comes to life refills. There are definitely times when I open the game, use up all my lives trying to beat one level wishing 5 minutes and then close it to wait for my lives to refill. If that doesn’t bother you, this game is for you. If it is, find another game.
