New website, new video camera technique

Overall the website has a nicer feel; layout of M-system, Skill pathways, etc is easy to understand.One critique, on the newer videos a back and forth “panning” is now being used. This camera technique may be more engaging for non-instructional video content, but is Not successful for golf instruction. “Cutting” from down the line views, and back to face-on is a better, clearer way for students to see angles, club face positions, etc. The constant back and forth of the “panning”, makes it less easy to see critical differences Mike often points out. I hope you consider this for future instructions.Overall the instructional content on Malaska golf, thanks!! Keep up the good work - Bob Z

Excellent Content on Site

Mike is a great teacher, he has real world experience trying all the various concepts in golf, his ability to explain what is easiest for amateurs to copy in a golf swing is spot on! The amount of content could be overwhelming but the site is well organized and has a good search feature. From beginner golfer to experienced golfers their is plenty of well presented useful information.

Best golf instruction ever

I’m 69 years old, 15 index, and have played golf for about 30 years. Over the years I’ve had lessons both in person and online. This is the 1st time lessons have really made sense. I played a lot of tennis when I was younger. I appreciate how Mike makes the connections between golf and tennis and other sports. I am really beginning to understand that the golf swing is a motion and not a bunch of positions. This concept alone has taken a lot of tension out of my swing. I recently had partial knee replacement surgery an am looking forward to playing golf again in a couple of months. And putting what I have been learning into practice and play.I’ll report back to let you know how implementing Mike’s instruction is helping my game.Thanks for everything Mike!Ed DMichigan

Mike’s step by step approach, “Skill Developement Method “ is fantastic. A golfer can step in at any level. Although the beginning is probably the best place to start. Malaska Golf, in a class by itself.

I’ve been on Malaska Golf for almost two years and Mike continually has new ways of presenting his swing philosophy to make golf enjoyable for the masses. He shows you how the similarities between golf and other sports like baseball, tennis and basketball are very relevant in the golf swing. You can’t force the swing to happen, but if you grip the club properly and have a good tension free setup, it doesn’t take much effort for you to produce plenty of power and distance to play some enjoyable golf. Plus the revamped and updated Malaska Golf site is even better and much easier to navigate than it was before. There is new material every week and if you ask Mike a question it might even get answered on the Ask Mike segment. Whether you are a beginner or scratch golfer, there is something on the site that will be helpful to you and your game.

Simplicity

I signed up for Mikes lessons because he coaches my pro Billy Fitzgerald. The simplicity and logic of grip and movements are great. I had been taught by GOLFTEC and got a lot of the twist your hands in the back swing and timing type lessons. It’s been a challenge for me to change but I can’t argue with the results. Much better contact and easier for me to identify what I am doing in my swing. Thanks Mike for keeping it in language the average golfer can understand.

Simply the Best

After taking multiple lessons over the years, Mike’s simplified but in depth teaching is far and away the best lessons I have ever received or taken and by far the best value. I listen and then listen again and again. What’s interesting is that after you try a specific drill or lesson out and then go back and view the information again, you even get more. Most people when starting out any sport, let’s say basketball, have to shoot 3 point shots instead of shots one foot away until making 5 in a row and then moving back a foot. Mike shows everyone how to build a swing and improve at an extremely quick pace if you are willing to put the time in and get the basics down, (foot by foot) lesson by lesson. Absolutely the best, well thought out teaching for a ridiculously low price. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. I am not a beginning golfer and have broken 70 before but this information has opened up a whole new exciting avenue to getting even better through consistency. I have not received any compensation for this review but excellent teaching. I took the time to write this Mike to say thank you. I have never talked to Mike Malaska.

Mike Malaska’s success is based on continuous updates of his site each week. Great instruction based on years of standing on the lesson tee.The instruction is succinct and to the point. The best feature for me is the search feature. You can search for “ left arm function “ and immediately get videos that become “tasks” you can work on during practice sessions. You can also create your own online “library “ of videos that you want to use again. Check this site out your game will improve dramatically!

Great golf info

My very best understanding of the golf swing in the 20+ years I have been hacking my way around the course. Lots of great ideas for practice sessions that actually work towards lowering your handicap. I have used online instructions from 3 well respected and well known golf coaches prior to finding Mike’s WEB site. I believe Mike is the best of the best. Highly recommend!

If you think about it, the golf industry has every incentive to convince you there’s a million things you need to think about with the golf swing.
